Comfortable rooms, Great breakfast and excellent customer service with really friendly staff. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really great family experience We spent 5 days at the hotel with our 2 young children and were absolutely delighted with the quality of the accommodation. Previous reviews meant we went in with high expectations and they were completely surpassed. The family room was huge and the fabulous quality beds and linen meant we got a great nights rest following some busy days out and about. The hotel bar and restaurant were not cheap but provided good food and drinks with a friendly service. The location of the hotel means it is only a short cab or metro ride to find excellent alternatives. My only complaint related to the fact that the leisure facilities remained closed despite the promise of being completed by the summer (we were there in early to mid August). The hotel had however provided an alternative facility around the corner but this was less convenient with a young family and I don't believe included a pool which we understood would be available in the onsite facility following the refurbishment. Overall we loved the hotel and location and would recommend this as a great base for a family to explore the city. August 21, 2014

All staff seemed very efficient and friendly but a special mention needs to go to Joan (in the Bar and Restaurant), who was great, especially remembering my husbands Gluten free diet and very helpful. Magic Fountains only 2 mins walk away fun for the Music and Lights show! 20 minutes walk and you are at the Ramblas and old city! We all had such a great time, I hope to return one day to Barcelona August 20, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good accommodation but inconsistent service I recently spent two weeks with my family in Barcelona, staying at the Crowne Plaza. Barcelona was great, as was the hotel - mostly. Most of the time, most of the staff were helpful and friendly, but we just couldn't rely on the service. On a couple of occasions, when issues were raised with reception, we received a very nice letter and gift from the manager, which went a long way way to making up for the failures, but it just would have been more pleasant if we had not had to raise the issues in the first place. Each day it was a lottery as to whether we would have our complimentary refreshments renewed - that was one source of frustration - I am a regular hotel user and most hotels manage to consistently replace used teabags etc - it can't be that difficult to arrange ! On another occasion we needed some maintenance and the receptionist promised someone would be sent - but in fact nothing was done until I chased it. Its a shame because it took the edge off what otherwise was a very enjoyable stay. The room was very comfortable and well-equipped, we were well looked after in many respects, just not consistently. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Jewel In the Crown of Crowne Plaza A fantastic hotel located in an excellent location in Barcelona. As a Platinum Ambassador I was greeted with warmth and courtesy and provided with a 5 STAR service. Sandra and her team at reception took care of our every need. We upgraded to Club Lounge and the food ,drink and breakfast there were fantastic. We were offered mobile wifi for our visits out with hotel and this service was inexpensive and allowed us access to internet whilst enjoying the city shopping. The new gym will open soon and this will even more enhance a visit to this "home from home". Thanks to Sandra and her team we will visit again soon. August 16, 2014
