Free shuttle bus from/to the airport.
But there was smoking smell in the bus. The bus driver smoked??

I have stayed in this hotel for several times, mainly arriving in late night and leaving in the morning. Frankly speaking, the room is quite comfortable. I have also been upgraded to a suite a few nights as a platinum member. However, during the short stays (normally < 10 hours), I am able to find so many things that needs improvement: 1. The shuttle bus is not always on time. 2. When departure, the driver does not look carefully for guests that may be just a few meters away.3. The driver makes phone call during the short trip and sometimes exceeds speed limit at night. 4. Nobody answers incoming calls at the front desk. 5. The front desk does not properly greets IHG members. 6. The front desk does not pay attention to the order of arriving guest. 7. Once, there is a big piece of dirt on the shower towel. Of course, some mistakes are not always bad. For example, I had breakfast twice at the restaurant and the charges were not included in the final bills. The receptionists do not seem to be well trained.

I have always used this hotel since it opened whenever I need to work at the local international exhibit centre.
Not once have I ever been disappointed.
As a platinum member I have always enjoyed the upgrades but this time around my room was exceptional. Just wish I was there longer to truly appreciate it.
Staff as always were very polite and helpful.........for me this is a primary reason for staying at IHG hotels. Service and courtesy are something I value and something that the Crown Plaza Beijing International Airport always deliver.
My only niggle was that the priority check in checkout counter seems to have vanished ?? This was a momentary issue as I had to pay my bill and get the shuttle. Concierge however was quick to respond and held the shuttle for a couple of minutes so that i did not need to wait an extra 30 minutes for the next one. However I did not feel so good about the delay caused for other guests even if it was a mere 3 minutes total.

I stayed one night after weeklong interior China visit prior to catching AM flight back to US. Easily arranged BCIA shuttle pickup and confirmation via email. Be aware that hotel is not exactly 'at the airport' but about a 20 min shuttle ride away. At check-in, staff did not know about IHG Ambassador membership. As IHG Gold member, I was given a coupon for complimentary beer, wine or drink. However, the restaurant would only honor this for Tsing Tao beer, not wine. The room was western sized and bed super comfy. Bath was clean and modern. Nicely equipped gym for a good workout prior to flying out. Buffet breakfast was decent but overpriced.

Very nice hotel and accommodations for our layover in Beijing. Thank you! The only issue was that the restaurant in-house could use more vegetarian options.

I wanted to meet for dinner a friend who lives nearby, and this hotel was ideal: near the airport, clean, comfortable, with helpful staff. My only quibble was the hotel shuttle. The reservation confirmation indicated there was a shuttle but said it was necessary to phone reception for the details.This was a gate number and times: why can these not be on the website and confirmation? When I arrived at the gate, an empty shuttle bus was waiting with its door open. I moved in my very heavy luggage but soon was told I had to get off because the bus was reserved for a flight crew. I refused, as their luggage was already surrounding my suitcase. This situation should be avoided in future, not least by closing the shuttle bus door and putting up a sign. it was a bad start to an otherwise pleasant experience.

This is not the first time at the Crowne Royal, and my preferred hotel for needing to night over by PEK. Shuttle system works great, food is good, great shower and bed.

If you need to stay near the airport, this hotel is a good choice. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. It's quiet and there's a free shuttle outside door #5 that takes you to the hotel every half hour.
The English level and courtesy of the staff was superb.

No Wi-Fi, no breakfast... It is far more expensive than what you can find in downtown Beijing. Why stay in this hotel that is still 30 min away from the airport by their shuttle?

I was on a business trip and selected this hotel due to its location and my IHG Ambassador status.
Found out they either don't recognize Ambassador membership or they don't have a club lounge to allow a private after-hours meeting & drink with my client.
That was disappointing.

Compared with Intercontinental in Dalian this crown plaza gets a 9/10 while intercontinental 4/10.!!! In Beijin I recieved nice upgrade due to my platinum card and recognition. In Intercontinental nothing at all, so next time no more Intercontinental, only crown plaza!!!

a man from the construction department opened my door without any asking and replied me very rudely. this is one of the worst experiences I have ever had. However the concierge boys are very nice and helpful. I appreciated that. The hotel is quite far from the airport but the shuttle bus is okay to take.

Although this was a quick stopover - on;y 13 hours in the hotel - thought it would be worthwhile staying on the exec floor - unfortunately when we arrived "happy hour" had just finished - stops ar 7.30pm.
Usually they will check you out the following morning while you're having breakfast, unfortunately the staff on the exec floor were trainees and hadn't been trained in the check-out process - so had to go to main reception to check-out missing breakfast altogether!
The Tepanyaki restaurant is superb - so this hotel will always be my preferred stop-over hotel in Beijing. And staff are quite friendly, sometimes.

I frequently fly in and out of Beijing and the Airport Crowne Plaza is always part of my travel plans. The staff is friendly, I am always recognized as a Priority Club member, and the Shuttle bus service is convenient and of great value.

1) The smell of smoke was everywhere including lobby and floor; fortunately not in room.
2) very noisy in lobby area. kids running out of control and some adm ladies from other party blocked the entrance.
3) bathroon needs maintance, ie. faucet brocken, hairdryer didn't work at all.

Whilst the hotel was good as a transit stop for us, the experience was marred by the attitudes of the taxi drivers at Beijing Capital Airport as they were not interested in the 4 km journey from the airport to the hotel.
They wanted the longer journeys to the centre of Beijing. The limo van drivers also wanted 500RMB for this journey.
We finally negotiated a 150RMB fare with a young lad who showed entrepreneurial spirit! Not bad as it was for four people and our company was paying anyway.

Good facilities spoilt by average to poor service. Check in and check out procedures, slow, cumbersome and most frustrating. My second stay due to hotel's position close to Exhibition Halls, but will not return as prices too high for service provided.

The room rate was too expensive compared to other similiar hotels in Beijing.
The air conditioning temp. was preset, and could not be adjusted to lower temp. So I felt hot and could not sleep well. I have told many times to the hotel but no solution.
The breakfast was bad.
The internet charge was too high. Many hotels in China are providing free internet service in rooms.

I chose this hotel because of the shuttle service which is advertised as every 30 minutes. When it should be advertised as every 30 minutes if we feel like it!!!! Even after calling the hotel it took 1 1/2 hours before they picked us up!

I had a dinner in the chinese restaurant. Was very noisy due to drunk chinese businessmen. They were even smoking. Waitresses were not reacting.
Room was ok; but not the best bargain.
I would not recommend that hotel.
