Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Noise, Noise, Noise A beautiful and comfortable room. Well maintained. Very clean. Great staff. When guests began filling the rooms surrounding ours, it seemed as if we were all in a giant hall. Conversations could be heard from neighboring rooms very clearly. That issue alone is enough to make me not book a room at this property again. Too bad because everything else about the hotel is wonderful. February 14, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Centrally located, comfortable bed, good room service I stayed two nights while on a business trip. The wifi was free and worked well. When the lamp next to the desk needed a new light bulb, I called and got it replaced within 10 minutes. The room was good-sized with a comfortable bed and choice of pillows. I used room service for breakfast and had a delicious, hot breakfast within 15 minutes. Excellent service! February 8, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel, terrible food Pros: Very nice hotel, very nice rooms, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, nice amenities, good views from upper rooms, Starbucks in hotel, great location to downtown. Cons: Very little parking on site, normally have to park in multi-story lot across the street, noisy even though we were on the 11th floor, breakfast buffet was terrible, coffee was probably the worst I have ever had, staff seemed to never be at front desk, although they were very nice when I found them. When booking your room request the highest floor with a view of the mountains. I truly value and appreciate that this hotel is completely non-smoking. Dont your house cleaners notice this or dont they clean the tubs? IVE STAYED MANY NIGHTS AND MANY DIFFERENT ROOMS OVER THE PAST (2) YEARS, IVE TOLD THE FRONT DESK, BUT THERE MUST BE A "BLOCK" TO THE HOUSEKEEPING STAFF. January 20, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by no hot water At 7:00 AM there was no hot water for a shower. Same at 7:30 AM. Staff said the hotel was almost full and so there was too great a demand on the hot water. Oh come on! I had to take on the day without a shower. Not good for a business hotel. I cannot chance staying there again. January 15, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by plugged bathtub drain The water wouldn't drain in the bathtub as I was showering so I was standing mid-calf in water. I called the front desk and requested maintenance take a look at it when I was out of the room the next day. When I used the restroom later that evening after the water had drained I was able to view the nightmare that had come up from the clogged drain and was lurking in the water: hair that wasn't mine (I have shoulder-length dark brown naturally curly hair) and worst of all--numerous bloody snot clumps! I was so grossed out I could hardly sleep that night thinking of what was in the water I was standing in while showering. In another room, a guest who was attending the same Conference I was, opened her curtains and found a twelve pack of opened beer on her window ledge. Evidently the housekeeper doesn't bother to check there when she checks rooms. On Wednesday evening at least 10 of us were standing around the lobby and the elevators were completely frozen up. Couldn't take one up or down... Of great irritation and annoyance is the fact that ice machines aren't located on every floor. In fact, the first ice machine is located on the 5th floor, which is inconvenient for those on the first through 4th floors. What a pain! On Wednesday I could NOT find a parking spot in the lot out in front of the hotel or in the parking garage. I had to circle the entire parking garage twice before finding a spot out in the open on the roof. January 15, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful view; peaceful and quiet This was my first visit to Billings and I was very happy to have had an opportunity to stay at this property. Temperature outside was cold, but inside the hotel the staff, facility and food were quite warm. The view from the hotel is gorgeous; the food at the Montana Sky restaurant was delicious and the ambiance could not have been better. A quiet place where you can actually hold a conversation while at the same time listening to soft music. Our visit to the concierge room were most pleasant and enjoyable. Susan gave us all kinds of great information about what to do and where to go during our stay. I would suggest lighter snacks and possibly more fresh fruit at night. January 11, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by REPEAT OFFENDER... ...which means i stay here every time in billings for business. ive never had a bad experience. staff is great and courteous to my needs. have an anytime fitness right across the street which i love. my favorite dining places are still in business: the soup place and burger dive are fantastic local business' that i like to frequent, and even bring some of my business collegues locals there who have never heard of these places. when they're closed or i just wanted to relax in-room, i hit up the room service who are helpful with the menu, and most importantly very prompt with the food. used them at least once each day/night i stayed and was never dissappointed. too bad i couldnt experience their new years eve dinner like we did last year. this tells it all. thank you...again. They've been great with overall service and the front desk staff has been excellent. Room is comfortable, clean and Quiet. The ONLY compliant I could come up with is the TV picture is lacking. This could be as simple as a poor cable or the cumbersome Lodgenet I seem to find more and more these days. December 15, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by My First Trip to Billings, MT I associate the name "Crown Plaza" with above average hotels and service, which I did get in Billings, MT, with the exception of the housekeeping service. This hotel is very comfortable and right in the heart of old downtown, I believe. There were several great local restaurants within walking distance, as I don't like to eat at chain restaurants and prefer to do business with locals and try new experiences. My room had a great view and there were many conveniences to this property including covered parking garage, parking validation, covered walkway to the garage that was lit for safety, a nice bar and lounge, many areas for sitting in the lobby areas and best of all, a Starbucks for those early business meetings. The restaurant on the 20th floor was great for the price. Great breakfast buffet on Saturday and great dinners with spectacular views from the 20th floor. The only negative was the housekeeping service. Not enough washcloths, no lotion except the first day and no bath mats. December 6, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful Place You can certainly tell this is an older building, but the decor is nice, and the rooms are just as described. The service was so so. Front desk helpful with check-in process and recommending places to dine, but brought up a questionable subject- made my boyfriend and I feel rather uncomfortable. About ten minutes after check-in and unpacking in the room, the front desk called as there was an issue with my credit card. She seemed pleasent over the phone but when I came downstairs she was a bit snippy and not prefessional reguarding this issue at all. We got it all figured out though. Also, the restaurant... I paid for the breakfast package so the next morning we went upstairs to indulge. The two waitresses were ridiculous. It took almost ten minutes to be seated as my partner and I checked out the seating and views becuase although the staff could be heard- they were no where to be seen. Finally we were sat down. Food was alright- not what I thought it would be. The waitress came to clear a couple tables and was throwing dishes, clanking them around, just had an "I don't care attitude" This took a lot away from our dining experience. November 20, 2012

At the beginning of my morning shower the water was very tepid so it was a quick one. There was no bath floor mat so had to use a towel instead. And only 1-2 tissues left in the tissue box so ran out of those quickly. Otherwise, the room was comfortable as usual and the rest of the hotel and staff was very good. November 8, 2012

The host in the Executive Lounge on Sunday night was really good as was the host on Monday morning. Only complaint -- pretty bad selection for the breakfast in the Executive lounge. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by bad room This is the 1st time I had a bad experience at the hotel. All previous stays were exceptional and enjoyable. This time I was put in room 1010. I could hear people in adjoining room bathrooms and people in the halls talking. I had a poor night of rest. I will give the hotel another try but I am going to ask for a quite room. Answer was I was on a corporate fare and as such, platinum status meant nothing. Thought it meant more! Second, this Crowne Plaza is very nice; however, I am a bit disappointed with their fitness center. The equipment in the aerobics gym is a bit outdated and of lower quality than I would expect of a chain of the quality of Crowne Plaza. Would suggest upgrading to Life Fitness or Precor equipment to provide a better quality workout. October 25, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not worth the price of the rooms! First of all, the staff is very helpful, kind, and accommodating but I have stayed here twice and had problems both times. The first time I stayed here, I smelled something awful upon entering my room. The sewer had backed up into the bathtub, filling it about 1/2 up with you-know-what. The staff did immediately move me to a different room. The second time I stayed here, I had multiple problems. First of all, there is an insufficient loading/unloading zone and the closest parking is a parking garage across the street....very inconvenient. When I entered my room, the light switch would not turn on any lights so I had to stumble around in the dark lookin for a lamp. The thermostat was out of batteries so I could not control the temperature of the room, which was inconsistently very warm or cold. One of the lights in the bathroom was out so it was pretty dark in there and light up mirror also didn't work. The outlets in the main room were worn out or loose so anything plugged in to them wouldn't stay plugged in. They do not have disposable glasses or coffee mugs; they have glass ones and there were lipstick prints on my coffee mug! The bathroom floor was very grimy. I was on the 11th floor and for some reason the elevators had trouble stopping on that floor. They would stop at 9, then 12, and then head back down to the first floor even though floor 11 was lit up. Overall, this hotel was extremely overpriced and not maintained and I won't stay here again unless I absolutely have to. October 24, 2012

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable Bed , service not so great. Overall, the hotel was excellent. I was not to happy with the guest services (front desk) . My attendant seemed rushed , was not able to find my reservation and was not very kind to me after finding out my rate was an airline rate- her mood shifted. I understand that my rate is discounted however I am a quality assurance auditor for my airline. I travel quite a lot and hotels are literally my second home. I am not only a priority club member observe and make recommendations for our crew members as well . Kindness goes a long way. October 21, 2012
