Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Hotel - no wakeup calls Nice hotel. The only problem I had was the front desk forgot to give us our wake-up call on both days(mornings) we stayed at the hotel. A bit annoying, but the wake-up call was just a back-up so it really wasn't a problem. November 20, 2013

They are great and have treated me well every time I visit. Even going as far to put me in the same room each time I stay because I said I liked the bed. I do wish the property offered the free breakfast for the rewards club members like other properties do. November 17, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bed/Room/Park & Fly The bed was not comfortable. The bedspread was very heavy. The pillows were not comfortable. We could not get the room to the right temperature. It was cold or hot. It was a good value and place to park your car. The shuttle did start at 4 if you need. We took the 5am and made it in good time for our 6:30 flight out of Terminal 2. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice. We chose the hotel because of the convenience of location, close to the MOA and Shakopee's Valley Fair was only 20 min away. The hot tub and pool was very nice. Staff was helpful and courteous. Check in and out was easy with no waiting. The air conditioner in our room was noisy, and pool noise. We didn't need a wake up call as the noise from the pool didn't allow us to over sleep too long. October 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay Really enjoyed my stay here. It's in a good location for what I wanted to do and I thought the price was great. The attendant at the front desk made sure to give me one of the newly renovated rooms because the woman's floor was being worked on so I appreciated that. They were also very helpful in finding me things to do when I had a few hours to kill and providing direction. As a solo traveler I felt safe. I would definitely stay here again and look forward to staying on the woman's floor next time I do! October 17, 2013

Although the rooms were very clean, the overall appearance of the hallways was unpleasant. The hot water was usually hot however perhaps due to the early hour on my last day I let the water run for 20 min and it never got hot October 10, 2013

Front desk, when I had reason to call, was attentive. Close to business park area. "Corporate" breakfast buffet, however, was terrible. Bland and tasteless! When you can get better at any 24 hour Denny's or IHOP, you know you need improvement on that end. October 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay, helpful front desk staff My co-worker and I stayed weekend of Sept. 27-29 for business purposes. Events were taking place at Metro Convention Centre. Co-worker said it was best night's sleep she had ever had & comfortable pillows. Accommodations & amenities were great. Computer room where you can do on-line check-in & print your boarding pass was convenient, front desk staff very helpful when asking about restaurants & entertainment at the Mall of America. Restaurant has good food. Breakfast buffet well worth the $10. Sliding door in bathroom is ok but handle is hard to pull out to close the door. I find in-room movies expensive @ $17.99 + tax for a newer release. Would recommend this hotel to anyone if looking for hotel about 10 min. from airport, but if you've got something going on in the downtown minneapolis area then you are better off staying at a hotel there for convenience to nightlife & restaurants as a cab ride from this hotel to downtown is $30-$35. Mall of America is definitely a sight to see but not so conducive to shopping unless you know exactly what store to go to & who has some deals. Bring comfortable shoes, there's lots of walking on those 3-4 floors. October 3, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great beds/pillows/linens. Food could be improved. We loved the king size bed and the pillows were soft and the linens smelled wonderful. It was super clean and the staff were very friendly and prompt. Our only disappointment was the food in the restaurant. We had the breakfast buffet on Sunday morning and it was hardly edible. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff !!! This was my first visit to the area for some training and my first time at a Crowne Plaza as well. My stay here was exceptional. Any issues I thought I might have never materialized. My room which was one of the remodeled ones was modern, clean and fresh. Thank you Courtney for making it happen! Thank you to the staff for keeping it that way. I bumped into the lady cleaning my room and she was supper nice and really cared about my comfort. Rae Ann, I can’t thank you enough for making my stay special! You ROCK!!!! The staff at the front desk was as good as I’ve seen in all my travels, and I’ve traveled a lot. Courtney and Ashley, whom I had the most contact, were great! They were informative, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Always wanted to know how things were going. The rest of the front desk staff was friendly and always greeted me with a smile. I would say whatever they are doing to train the staff in CS , it is working , all of the associates where friendly , smiled and generally cared about my experience. The restaurant is OK, the food quality is what you would expect. The lunch for me was the winner. I did not have dinner. Salad bar with soup hit the spot when I needed it most. It’s the staff in the restaurant which makes the difference. Julia !, Vicki and Mario. Unstoppable energy always on display, making sure your every need was taken care of, and quick to make sure you had what you needed to make your dining pleasurable. Can’t say enough about their desire to make sure guests are greeted and treated like they are the only one. Julia, she is a Star…. Vicki, thank you for trying to help. Let’s not forget Happy hour in the bar. Sai is awesome. Slick, quick and hard to trick! Great stories cocktails and service. Ask to see the 3D joke. The hotel has great amenities, the pool, workout area and layout just works. I was impressed when I entered the place and will stay at Crowne again if it works into my plans when I’m staying out of town. As an FYI, they place was busy with a company conference. The shuttles were mostly capitalized by them and sometime made it hard to catch. However, when I needed it most they got me around. The location is convenient to the Twin Cities and MOL. The best part of the Crowne Plaza on Green Valley Drive is the Staff!!!! I saw it on display, they really care about your stay and experience. Thank you all. September 17, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor guest service and poor quality. The hotel promised to provide a shuttle to and from the Minnekada Club for my wife's fiftieth class reunion from Washburn High School. When I asked the desk attendant he had no idea what I was talking about and offered NO help. For the price of the room we were surprised that a complimentary continental breakfast was not offered. The room was too small for the king sized bed. We should have reserved two double beds instead and maybe we would have had a larger room? We chose the Crown Plaza because it was a close location to the Minnekada Club where the reunion took place. But the closing of highway 494 made in very inconvenient getting around , thus a shuttle would have helped immensely. We would not recommend this hotel! September 11, 2013

Wen the person flushed the toilet, I could hear it. Needs work on sound proofing. Other than that, it was a great hotel and stay. August 26, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Stay here! We were in the area for leisure and found Crowne Plaza Bloomington West to be an excellent location. Love the beds--so comfortable; great shower/ super water pressure. LARGE, beautiful swimming pool. Bar was neat. Good snacks, and excellent service. Breakfast is worth getting since there are no super close-by restaurants. Shuttle service is excellent. We used it to go to Target Field via the airport then via the Light Rail System. Driver was friendly and helpful. Staff al veryl friendly and helpful--rooms kept very clean by housekeeping staff. Loved it here---and highly recommend this place. August 21, 2013

I think that a small fridge should be provided in each room as part of the room charge. Lessor inns provide this service. The shuttle service was good, however, if I stayed here again, I would rent a car. The location is not the best for best for getting to stores or places to eat. August 20, 2013

On Sundays they should have 3:15 or 3:30 shuttle if you cannot check in until 3. So many hotels now offer continental breakfast. We were some disappointed that was not offered. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staying on the Women's Only Floor felt like a Spa Getaway! I was most pleased with my stay at this hotel. If you are a female, get a stay on the Women Only Floor! I was greeted at check in by George and the gentleman behind the desk. Both friendly, helpful and professional. The room was spotlessly clean. Comfortable sheets and bedding, lots of pillows. Chocolates on the pillows. There was even a 'sleeping kit' with lotion and dreamy spray for your sheets. The ladies floor was super quiet too, I didn't hear anything the two nights I stayed. There are two microwaves in the hallway as well as a fridge stocked with pop, bottled water, sparkling water and frozen m and m's, hagendaz ice ream bars, snickers, etc. Also a generous assortment of granola bars and other healthier snacks. I ordered room service for breakfast both days and thought the prices were good and they brought the food at the exact time I had requested. Such a relaxing and comfortable stay; I really hadn't expected anything this nice for such a good price. I strongly recommend this hotel. Also, plenty of outlets in the room and bath and body works toiletries and some extra pampering ammenities too that I enjoyed. Coffee maker in room, glasses, ice bucket, etc. The only thing missing was a fridge in the room, but I didn't need one, but maybe it could be requested if needed. August 14, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Women's Floor is FAB We have many choices when staying in Bloomington, but the Crown Plaza's Women's Floor is the reason I always request to stay there. It is currently under renovation for the next couple months as I stayed there last week before the renovation started. The old-style tubs are being replaced with walk-in showers, the vanities are being replaced with more counter space and storage, and the carpet will be new. The warm and cozy atmosphere coupled with a refrigerator and shelves chock full of snacks and drinks makes this hotel my destination about once a month while in Bloomington on business. Plus the hotel van will take you just about anywhere you want to go, and they do it with a smile. August 13, 2013

The hotel is conveniently located to the Mall of America, so there were many families with children and teens, which at times were rowdy and demanding (I stayed during school holidays). My room was clean, well furnished and comfortable. The building does lack sound-proofing, and would benefit from attention to this crucial detail. August 4, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by A disappointing return visit This was our second stay at this property. We were underwhelmed the first time, but the price was right and it was convenient. I returned this time because they have a lap pool, and I count on my morning swim to get my day started. I was astonished when I went down to the pool at 6:30 on a Wednesday morning only to be told at the front desk that the pool doesn't open until 8:00. Well, anyone with business to get done can't wait that long to start the day. By that time, the families with kids have them all in the pool (as they were the previous night) and it's virtually impossible to get any serious exercise. The price for this room topped out at over $200 when taxes and fees were added on. The remodeling they have done makes it look like a W "wannabe" without the class. Parking was totally inadequate. The property was clean and updated, the staff was only so-so in the friendliness department, and it was a comfortable night's accommodation. However, I will not go back, not at those prices and not when I can't even use the facilities on a reasonable schedule. July 23, 2013
