Shuttle Van was great! However, my sister had to wait 45 minutes for a ride from the airport to the hotel because the driver didn't hear the message come through. Inside was beautiful and clean.
Fresh fruit on the breakfast bar but only pork products as a selection for meat.
CIty transit takes you in to town so you don't need to rent a car.

I have stayed here several times and I enjoy the experience. The location is very convenient and the service is excellent.
One issue I had, and it's minor, is that the hotel does not allow you to leave duffel bags over the weekend if you are returning the next week., That's an inconvenience but not the end of the world. Most hotels are happy to allow this.

Booked 2 double bed room, got an "upgrade" to a dusty hospitality room with 2 pull down beds. WOW! My opinion: anything but an upgrade - try an overbooked hotel.

Check in was smooth, no carts for hauling our luggage to rooms, we were on 9th floor, room service trays were by elevator on 9th floor area was a little messy at 3 pm when we checked in, room was clean, on Saturday the maid left towels no bath mat and did not make up the bed, I know because my wife was in the room when the attendant got their she also did not clean up the coffee service area.
No free breakfast but had coupon for $3 off the $12.00 breakfast buffet not worth $12.00 some of the hot items were cold.

As a flight crew member, I see many hotels. I have even stayed at a few other hotels near the MSP airport. The Saturday night we chose to stay was for personal reasons - a family trip returning from Alaska. We needed a quiet hotel to get some rest for us and our kids on the long journey home from the Pacific Northwest. I had seen other flight crews stay at this particular hotel so I thought it might be OK.
Perhaps it was the weekend night, perhaps it was bad timing... but this hotel was overrun with large, noisy groups. It had many kids running the halls at 1030-11PM - most of them wet coming from the pool. The hotel staff didn't seem to take control of the situation.
In addition, only one elevator was working - waits of up to 10 minutes for the elevator to the 11th floor were not uncommon.
The property itself was in OK condition. Fine but not great. The staff was fine. Again, not great. They didn't seem to recognize me as part of their loyalty program.
The value for price paid was probably fair but I'd happily pay more to have a more peaceful experience.

The hotel was beautiful. The customer service agents were professional and very polite. The shuttle service to and from the airport was a good perk. Our rooms were clean and quiet. I look forward to staying at the hotel again in the future.

Rooms are clean. Hotel is updated and has a modern look. Has an awesome gym! Offers the option of taking a shuttle to and from the airport. Shuttle and hotel staff were extremely polite and professional. My 14 year old and 10 year old enjoyed the big indoor pool, hot tub, and sauna. Just perfect for our needs and with a very competitive price. The only negative would be that I personally didn't feel the bed was that comfortable, but I figure what can you expect...you're not at your own home. Would definately go back.

As far as hotels near MSP, this is by far the best. The indoor pool is better, the gym is better, the restaurant is better, and the overall value is better. I've stayed here several times, and the experience has been great each time. I typically take the light rail from MSP, which stops right next to the hotel, even though I understand the hotel does offer a shuttle to the airport. Super convenient. I always make use of the large indoor heated pool and the gym facilities, which is comparatively large and has updated equipment. Martel's restaurant has a good selection of food that's always better than typical hotel food. My one suggestion for improvement of this hotel is for the food service to stay open maybe an hour longer. I think it closes at 11pm right now, and I always seem to be on a flight that gets in just after food service stops. The bar is usually pretty busy at that time (drink service continues later), but even an abbreviated menu of appetizers would be appreciated. Would certainly recommend to anyone who needs a location close to MSP or the Mall of America.

We stayed two nights. I thought the hotels brand is higher, but there was no bell boy, and no one came to help with luggage (despite having three kids). Was definately not recocognized as Priority club member ( the breakfast coupons) were not handed at the time of check in ( i had to request for them, though we paid for them) and according to website when making reservation it said kids eat free and we were charged for kids... :)
I think other hotels around are better,a nd more choices. I would be reluctant to stay again.

My sister, daughter and I have been visiting Bloomington since 1995. We love staying at the Crowne Plaza because it is very "home like". I like staying in a suite because it gives us plenty of room and has a refrigerator, microwave and sofa bed which we always use. The staff this year was extremely friendly and helpful. It was a true pleasure to stay at Crowne Plaza this year and would recommend this hotel to everyone.

I was able to drop my rental car off a day early. They picked me up at the airport and took me to the hotel. I was able to take the Van to Mall of America if I wanted and they would also take me to area restaurants but I ate there food was good. The shuttle bus leaves every 1/2 hour to the airport so getting there was a breeze.
Rooms are great. I will be stopping back again.

This was my second visit here and I have to say it was not very pleasant the second time. The bath towel for the floor was so old It was coming apart at the edges and had several rips in it. I then had to stand in 3 inches of water in while taking a shower as the drain was clogged so much it would not drain. It took 15 minutes to drain after I was out. This is not a cheap hotel so this is ridiculous.
After complaining to the corporate office via an email complaint, I got a somewhat generic response indicating sorry for your inconvenience and thanks 2 weeks later. Disappointing to say the least and why I did this review.

The hotel was nice and has a big pool. The beds were very firm and uncomfortable. No one sleep well. The most important part of a great hotel, and this was far from it. If you need a big pool this has it, but if you need sleep the bed are the same as the floor!

I stay at the Crowne Plaza MSP Airport a couple of times a month. I like that the gym is large and clean and that there is always a great buffet breakfast with lots of variety.
I usually find the rooms clean and comfortable. I have had a couple of experiences where I was given a room where someone else was already staying or where the room smelled smoky but in those instances the staff was able to correct.
The hotel is extremely convenient in terms of location relative to the airport and it is conveniently located right next to the light rail stop.
This property isn't as nice as most Crownes. It is more of a nice Holiday Inn. If you have that expectation then this is a great hotel.

I consistently stay at this location when I travel to Minneapolis. It has the convenient things like close access to the airport and Great Mall. However, the staff there has always been responsive and courteous consistently. The staff person in the concierge lounge is very nice as well. She is very attentive to everyone that goes in there. A great place for families also with the pool and shopping near by along with shuttle service. I enjoy staying there every trip and my family does as well.

Rooms are excellent.
The restaurant should be upgraded for the guest to truly share meals with colleagues in good atmosphere.
The big obstacle is parking. The directions from Parking to the hotel are not friendly. The condition of stairs at the parking garage portray unhealthy feeling.

We thought the room was over priced for the state of the hotel. Rooms needed a good "scrubbing". Carpet stained, furniture stained and worn. Out of 6 elevators, only 2 worked and at times only 1. Staff was great, but the hotel was just not what we expected for the price. RESTAURANT, however, WAS SUPER!! Highly recommend the burger or chicken and wild rice soup.

On the day of arrival, it took about 1 1/2 hours to order and receive lunch (we started about 1:30 pm - not during a lunch rush). There were 4 in our group and only two other small groups in the lounge area. Service was poor with no offers of drink refills or of crackers or bread to nibble on while waiting for our order. The wrong sandwich was brought to me, and my tablemates had almost finished by the time mine was served.
The hairdryer in the room had evidently shorted out (it smelled of burning metal when I turned it on). One eveing I requested that maid service replace it in the morning but that did not happen.
The hotel was clean and convenient.

Areas of hotel starting to look tired.
Window blinds in the restaurant area were very dirty and stained, need replacement or heavy cleaning.
Pedestrian access to the hotel is dangerous, walking into and through the driveway. The hotel does not accommodate the pedestrian experience with the convenient light rail access, past the trash area, bus parking and driveway.
Staff friendly and helpful.

I arrived late one evening and, once in my room, turned on the A/C only to hear the unit make an awful racket. Not wanting to deal with changing rooms, I found that the noise was caused by clogged filters which were easily removed from the front of the unit. The next morning I informed the gentleman at the desk what had happened and that the filters were lying on the floor near the A/C unit, the bathroom sink was clogged and that I found hair in the shower upon arrival. He apologized and assured me it would be taken care of before I returned that evening. When I returned, everything was just as I left it. Nothing had been done at all to fix the issues. A maintenance man was sent to my room and proceeded to take the front of the A/C unit off while it was running which launched a cloud of dust in the room. I understand that things are not always perfect when I check into a hotel but I do expect any issues to be dealt with quickly and professionally. I just didn't get that this time.

Checking in for two days first night the king mattress was so very hard with no comfort at all. We told the front desk and they said we are sorry with no recommendation to fix this. We suggested we move and they said "I don't know where or what room you will find a comfortable mattress"....WE suggested that we move to another room and they said we will see what is available after 4pm. Second room was a very small room with only one sink and very older. Not a good experience to not sleep good.
