El nivel de atención en recepción, gerencia, etc., pésimo.
Nunca imaginé que podía encontrarme con una atención tan mala en un hotel de la cadena IHG.
Habitualmente soy huésped del Intercontinental y Holiday Inn, pero siempre fue excelente. Nunca imaginé tener una experiencia tan desagradable.
La atención en el Club Rewards del piso 17, Excelente, parece que perteneciera a otro de los hoteles del grupo.

Nice property to stay close to the tourist spots in town. Very clean and safe.
Staff is not knowledgeable around the area. 2 examples.
1. Ask to arrange a yellow taxi to zona rosa. Rate quotes was 11$ USD. However the meter rate is 8-9 USD. I was not told about 10% hotel surcharge on top of it which appeared on check out. All the hotels in the world arrange or call yellow cab for you and insist you pay the meter charges. Also there were no yellow cabs allowed in front of the hotel.
2. Asked for the where I can exchange my Amex TCs or USD to pesos. I was sent to a Bank of Colombia location via a hotel taxi by concierge. That location does not exchange Amex TCs. Also does not exchange USD.
There are couple of locations behind the hotel shopping complex, at the entrance next to travel agency , or on the side entrance that does the exchange.
keep a concierge that speak bit of English and is familiar with these basic travel information. I found the bell boys more helpful than other staff and convey little bit in English.

I've recommended this hotel in the past but after my last stay - with colleagues from my work it just gets increasingly difficult. Arrived just after 11 pm. Called room service. No answer. Called the operator. No answer. Called the Front Desk. No answer.
The wifi in earlier stays seems to get better. I've seen others describe it as patchy. That's kind. It's frankly useless.
We're planning a project in the area - with the likelihood of several hundreds of night of bookings over two years. I asked if I could take one of my colleagues to breakfast on the lounge floor (I'm an ICH Club member# to at least try and warm him to the property. That couldn't be done without Management approval or me paying a fee #we're talking coffee and some eggs.
I've stayed at this hotel many, many times in the past but they are totally losing the plot.

The room was clean. The staff at the restaurant were kind.
On the contrary, the staff in the lobby was incompetent, except two of them. They could not speak English (this hotel is said to be an international hotel !), they could not understand basic requests and wanted us to pay what we did not have to.
The hotel was noisy (no double glazing in the room ; people shouting : there was a competition at the same time with a lot of people....).
We will choose another hotel next time and are just wondering if all the hotel of IHG have the same standard of quality or if problems are only focus on this hotel.

I spent a week here to attend a regional conference. The hotel is well maintained although from the point of view of the decor definitely needs to be upgraded as it felt like a hotel in the seventies. it was clean and service was excellent everywhere. the el vinney waiting staff seemed a little overworked sometimes and we experienced a delay in service once or twice in the restaurant.
the worst thing was the patchy internet service which in 2013 was completely unacceptable - all other guests in my group had similar complaint - it was awful.
i still had a great stay here - it was comfy good a/c tv beds etc and in a great relatively safe location in the centre of bogotá - staff were all extremely helpful friendly and courteous.
