Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Weekend Getaway The last time I was at this hotel it was the Marriott. The room has been changed and was still real comfortable. We had breakfast in the restaurant and the food was great, and we tried a variety of breakfast items. I would have liked to had a small refrigerator in the room for can drinks etc. That was the only thing I had to complain about. It is close to attractions and plenty of other restaurants. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service, less than great room. My recent stay at the Charlotte Executive Park Crowne Plaza was overall a great experience. I was there for a 2 day training class for my company. The service from all of the staff members I encountered was fantastic. The food I ate at the hotel was great. My only lack luster experience was the condition of the room. It was clean and the bed was comfortable, but the there were several areas in the room (most notably the bathroom) that were in disrepair. There were several areas where the ceiling was falling down. I also used the pool and hot tub. I tried to use the sauna, but I either wasn't operating it correctly or it was not working (probably the former since one of my colleagues used it the night before). Like I said earlier, my overall experience was great. The room was a little disappointing for the price, but that will not keep me from recommending Crowne Plaza in the future. August 19, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Below average CP at the moment, but renovation is in the works. However, the renovation can't get here fast enough. The rooms were clean (I stayed on the 19th floor). But they simply need an update. I have recently stayed at HI Express and Staybridge Properties that were much more modern. I also experienced the worst check-in experience in 3 yrs staying with an IHG property. The employee (only 1 employee was nice, but needed help). But there was only 1 person, with over 15 people trying to check in. So, it truly took over 30 minutes once I walked in the door before I was in my room. Now granted I am a platinum member so I used to going from front door to room in many hotels in less than five minutes because they have special lines for Gold or Platinum members. However, this hotel didn't have a special line, much less a second line period. Outside of that the property was fine but needs an update. The bed was soft, internet speed good, room was clean. Oh, I think I have only been to 1 or 2 other CP's that charge for alcohol in the executive lounge. To me this was annoying, but not a huge deal. I will give the hotel another try, but not until after the renovation is complete. July 30, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Decent hotel, clean, but needs serious updating The room was very clean and the bathroom ,though very small for a room with a King size bed,was also very clean. The bed itself was very uncomfortable which is not my usual experience with this chain. The hair dryer didn't work.:It stopped working after a few minutes. The ice bucket and coffee maker were difficult to find as they were stored under an older style TV in a dresser .The room was good sized but lacked a refrigerator and there was no complimentary breakfast. Included. As I travel frequently, I found the lack of even a continental breakfast quite unusual.. When we stepped out on the balcony, water was dripping from the ledge above us.which was rather disconcerting. I did not complain about the bed to the staff as we were only staying one night ,but did advise them of the broken hair dryer during check out. Breakfast was included with some packages as I overheard instructions given to other guests as we checked in. I stay in Charlotte frequently, but don't think I'll stay at this particular hotel again. It was convenient to my destination.,but the are others in the same plaza location. We would consider staying here again when and if hotel is updated as I've stayed in the same brand hotel in other locations that were superior to this location. July 27, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Great Hotel! I recently stayed at this hotel during my son's South Carolina Little League Baseball State Championship tournament. The hotel went out of their way to accomadate our large group, from setting up dinners in private dining rooms at resturants, to letting us have a late check out. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The on site resturant was great. We ordered room service and loved it! The hotel pool and pool bar were a welcome break from all the games and the staff could not have been better. We will hope to stay there again!!! June 28, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great amenities, poor service The hotel itself was beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. I greatly enjoyed the thoughtful amenities the hotel provided. However, I had a very poor experience with the hotel staff. The hotel has a very poor system with dealing with credit card authorizations and eventually, I had to scrap the whole thing and pay for the room with my own personal card. It was very disappointing given the caliber of Crowne Plaza hotels. I expected more from an esteemed chain. I will not be staying with this Charlotte Crowne Plaza again. June 17, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel Stay! I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was very welcoming, warm, and friendly. I was acknowledged and thanked for my Priority Club status at the front desk, which I always appreciate. I had a really delicious breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel, and I look forward to eating there again the next time I'm in the area. For the closing to a great hotel stay experience, the airport shuttle driver was nice and friendly, and we left promptly at 7:00 AM as scheduled. June 10, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service and Location I stayed overnight at this hotel last week and was very impressed. From the minute I stepped into the hotel, I was greeted by a friendly and professional staff. My check in went smoothly and I went up to my room. That was nicely appointed and had plenty of plugs for all of the electronic devices i.e laptop, ipad, and 2 phone that I travel with. . I ordered room service for dinner, it was delivered quickly. The server was very nice and showed me each item that I ordered. I could tell that he has been at the hotel for awhile, he took pride in what he was doing. Went down to breakfast before my meeting, the next morning and had the buffet, which was fresh with lots of choices. There was also a menu available to order from as well. Went on to my meeting, this hotel has a great amount of space. Lunch in the meeting room was good. On my way to the airport, the hotel provided airport shuttle service, complimentary. Over all a good visit to this property, when returning to Charlotte, I'd definitely stay here again. June 10, 2013
