Thanks for everything you did for my stay.
I was bumped from my flight and arrived tired.
The receptionist was awesome!!!! She gave me toothpaste and a tooth brush. She let me borrow her cell phone charger. She made sure I was upgraded and gave me a coupon for the bar!!!!! Great Service!!!!

Unimpressed Bride

We used this hotel as our wedding block for our guests. I reserved a certain number of rooms about eight months ago, with the option to add more as needed. About a month or so before the wedding, my guests began calling to reserve rooms. They told one of my bridesmaids that the block was full, yet there were only 2 rooms booked. I frantically called my parents, grooms parents, and entire wedding party and told them to call so that they could reserve a room, even if it was outside of the block. As a result, about ten people called Crowne Plaza within one hour to reserve rooms. Each guest got a different answer depending on who they spoke to-- some got rooms, some did not, even though they called at the same time. Some were told the hotel was booked entirely, yet another person called 10 minutes later and got a room. My parents couldn't even get a room, yet my maid of honor called after they did and she was able to get one. There was no communication among the staff and frankly they had no idea what they were doing. No one could give me an answer as to why this was so chaotic and disorganized. It was very bizarre.

After we checked in, the problems continued. My guests were not given their welcome bags-- I had 5 people check in who did not get bags. i had to call after every check in to be sure they were receiving them -- it had the weekends timeline in it and no one knew what was going on, which left added stress on me. The bags were eventually delivered at the correct time. They made me deliver the bags on Wednesday for Thursday check-ins, yet no one even received them on time.

Our bridal suite was on a floor with about 50 kids for a hockey tournament-- no where near our guests. One of the parent's complained about our noise level, yet the hotel staff paid no mind to the fact that the kids were loud in the halls, throwing hockey pucks and sticks, banging on doors, etc.

Several of my guests had issues with reservations. My bridesmaids were in a room on Thursday night and they were then rudely told they had move rooms on Friday morning. They were assured they would get a new room ASAP -- but their room was not ready until 6:00 p.m., well after the check in time of 3:00. There was absolutely no excuse for this. Furthermore, several of my guests were told they could check-in early at 11 am due to being in our 3:00 wedding and check-in time at 3:00. Their rooms NOT ready as promised. The guests were told to change in the gym if their room wasn't ready. My maid of honor had four people in her room, and the hotel told her she couldn't have that many people in her room. Mind you they are telling her this as we are in the limo on the way to my wedding. What would they expect us to do if they are "booked and out of rooms" ?????

Lastly, my husband was locked out of the room where the groom/groomsmen were getting ready (my brothers room). All of their tuxes were in the room and the key would not work. The groom called for help but he was told he could not be let in because my brother was not with him (he was out getting other things ready for the wedding). So my husband was stuck in the hallway for quite some time, unable to get ready for our wedding.

The staff was rude and challenging to work with. They are quick to provide an insincere apology, but they aren't willing to work with guests to fix the issues. The shuttle service was good and food/drinks at the restaurant were good. The rooms were also nice and updated, but there were too many issues to make this an enjoyable experience.

To all brides -- I would not recommend this hotel for your wedding block. You will be looking at entirely too much added stress during an already stressful time.

Great Location...

This is a lovely hotel. The rooms are very well appointed, comfortable and clean. I wish I could say the same about the service. We were there for a wedding and had about 16 rooms. Welcome bags were not given to guests upon check in and the bride had to call several times to get them delivered to her guests.
The bridal suite was on a floor with a group of hockey players who played in the hallway. Despite repeated calls to Guest Services nothing was done. It was noisy and you could not walk down the hall without a ball flying past. The parents of those children were irresponsible as was Guest Services!!
One couple was checked in, relaxing in the room before meeting for dinner and a second couple with a room key for the SAME room entered. No they did not know each other, very awkward and again no real apology made by Guest Services!
The hotel was so convenient to the wedding venue but I would think twice about staying here again!
