The shower drain very slow. Ankle deep all the time. Walls are very thin heard music and people talking all night long. Pillows were not comfortable.
When checking in the line was long and one agent was standing around not doing anything. When he help somebody it wasn't the next person in line.
When checking out I told of the problems and the agent said that he was sorry. The way he said it was just did not feel right.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza while in town for a concert. We were celebrating his 50th birthday also. The front desk clerk, Alex, was so nice and really went above and beyond. He gave us a room with a great view and even sent up a piece of birthday cake for my husband!! The hotel itself was beautiful and very clean. The rest of the staff in the hotel, the bar area and Max and Erma's were also all very nice and helpful. The check-in and check-out procedure was smooth and easy. The only slight problem we had was when we arrived there was a backup at the valet. It turned out that the fire alarm had gone off and they had to make sure it was a false alarm before they let anyone else in. It didn't take very long, and they were very apologetic about the wait. I would definetely recommend this hotel. If you are in Columbus for an event at Nationwide Arena, it is the perfect location because you can walk there.

Myself, my husband and daughter, were in Columbus, OH for The Fleetwood Mac concert. The Crowne Plaza Hotel was in perfect proximity to Nationwide Arena, where the concert was held. We were able to safely and comfortably able to walk to the arena. The staff were very helpful and friendly the entire stay. Our beds were very comfy and the room was clean and quiet. We did all of our eating and snacking outside the hotel so I cannot offer an opinion on the food or room service. There are many restaurants within walking distance.

The service at this hotel is excellent. I had to cancel one night because of illness and they accommodated me graciously. I would stay here again. Everyone had a smile and was helpful.

Pleasant Accommodating Staff. Rooms Clean. Do Not Advertise No Breakfast for Weekend Executive Level stays, We were comp'd with passes to Max and Ermas, Thank You ! Spare Toilette Paper Roll was Dirty, showed signs of past wet contaminant. Could hear adjacent room talking, not yelling, talking, kept us awake the first night and awoke us early the first morning, RM 1203, not what you expect from an Executive Level Room at this price point.

Noise thru walls as if paper thin. Could hear adjacent guests talking, " not yelling " thru walls at night while trying to sleep and awakened next morning. Not a good value for an executive level room.

From the moment I pulled up every interaction was personal, professional, and helpful. The quality and condition of the hotel is great, it is well maintained. Customer service interactions were all pleasant and welcoming. Highly recommend staying here while in Columbus!

Some hotels offer a variety of pillows- some softer, some firm, but here they were all very firm and too high for my neck to be comfortable. otherwise it was pretty nice overall. I wish I didn't hear the bed next door that squeaked alot throughout the night. Small fridge was a surprise- it wasn't listed on the website.

Everything about my stay at the Downtown Crowne Plaza was just as I hoped it would be. The building itself, the location, the staff, and the room were all perfect and should be suitable to everyone's needs. While I was very happy with my overall experience, what really stood out to me was the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. Most notable were the valet staff who really acted as our lifeline to the city. We didn't know Columbus very well and the valet made our visit (not just to the hotel, but to the city itself) extremely pleasurable. They recommended wonderful restaurants and shops to visit, drove us to numerous places we needed to go with their shuttle, and helped us with basically everything we needed. And of course, they were very prompt and courteous with the normal valet services. I don't think people realize how much the valets do for the hotel and I would recommend all guests to remember to tip them generously! All of the front desk staff were also very friendly and helped us with multiple things during our visit. I can't say enough good things about the Crowne Plaza hotel and their staff and I fully recommend everyone stay there when visiting Columbus.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel recently when we attended a hockey game at the Nationwide arena.
Check in was fast and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
We stayed on the 12th floor (executive level) and the room was great. We had a corner room so there was lots of natural light, the bed was very comfortable, in fact I'm trying to buy the exact same pillows (but not having any luck). Best nights sleep I've had in a while.
Bathroom essentials were nice with all the usuals included.
Being executive floor afforded us entry to the lounge which was supposed to be stocked with water and sodas. Water was out 3 of the 4 times we visited, soda was running low also, but as these were "perks" it didn't bother me too much though it would've been nice to have a water on hand.
Room came with 2 breakfast coupons for Max & Ermas (right next door to hotel) and we were pleasantly surprised with the offerings, full breakfast including omelette and waffle station, plus nice selection of cereals and pastries (muffins).
Valet was also friendly and efficient.
Will definitely stay again next time visiting downtown Columbus.
Now to find those pillows!

This hotel is by far the best in Columbus!!! The Customer Service was second to none. If you needed anything, it was never a problem, and to your room in less than 5 minutes!! I was there on a very busy weekend, but they were still at the top of their game!

We recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza in Columbus for a cheerleading competition the weekend of 2/22-2/24.
I first must say that overall it is a very nice hotel and the rooms were just as pictured.
Our service and ambiance was the worst I have had in several years. Our gym had a block on the 4th floor for Friday and Saturday night. At approximately 10 PM our room started shaking! The headboard, floor, TV everything in the room due to the music that was playing below our floor. The bass could be felt in your chest!
After calling downstairs to see if that was another guest room and if they could please contact them, we were informed that their was a Fraternity party on the 3rd floor and that it would stop at 11:00 PM. At 11:15 we called down and was told it would stop at 11:30, at 11:45 we were told 12:00 AM. It seemed as if they did not care that this party was disturbing other guest, and really had not idea when it would stop.
We had to be up at 6:00 AM with our small children so they could participate in their competition and was told there was nothing they could do,
I stopped down at the desk at 7:00 on our way to the competion to complain and was given a half hearted apology. I was told that they would compensate my $ 12.00 parking for my inconvenience. I did not feel that this was a good enough answer as my car was not the issue. Asking to speak to the manager was only met with yet again a clueless response that they were sorry but that was the best he could do for me. Again, I asked to speak to the manager.
The manager stated he understood my frustration but it was an event that they had no control over. I explained that I was also a guest and had I been informed that such an event was taking place I would have asked to be moved.
After much discussion as to what could be done and an apology that was not very convincing, I was told they would compensated for one nights stay. I gladly took this option as we were paying a large sum of money for the room.
We did not have in our room but there was also several plumbing issues on our floor, running toilet and overflowing!
It is a nice hotel, but the customer service is horrible!

The room was very spacious and well equipped. The room service for food was bad. Wrong order, cold and a couple of hairs in my eggs (I didn't order). One day, when room service knocked to clean the room, I told them I was leaving in 5 minutes which I did. The room never got cleaned.
The staff was attentive and helpful. The valet service was excellent! Some of the guests were obnoxious but that's not the hotel's fault. Shouting in the halls at midnight was pretty bad, but I guess preteen cheerleaders can be like that (or was that their parents?).

We overall enjoyed our stay. We loved the Max and Ermas was so close to the hotel and we were able to order room service breakfast from there as well. We were on the 8th floor which, when we got off the elevator there was a sign stating we were on a quiet floor. That our televisions and noise level would have to be kept down, that there were no children on our floor. However, there was a major convention for anima characters which there were teenagers all over the place. It was neat to see all their costumes however in the rooms and hall close to us the students were up all night talking, laughing, making alot of noise. We are not major complainers so we left our tv up and fell asleep that way. But my suggestion would be to take the sign down when you have had to assign rooms to that floor also.

I travel to Columbus frequently (16 times this year) and usually stay at this hotel (when there are rooms available). During my most recent stay I was not given access to the Concierge Lounge because "we have something going on up there." That was the only explaination I was offered and not until I checked in and had to ask. Not having access to the concierge lounge was a significant inconvience. I would have preferred to know ahead of time that the lounge would not be available. I will be exploring other hotels in 2013.

I stayed at this hotel for the 2nd year in a row and found it to be as good as the first time I was there. Hallways are quiet, staff is friendly, rooms are new and comfortable. But the best part was the bed and the pillows, really really good. I slept like a baby every single night. I have stayed at several hotels Downtown Columbus, and the Crowne Plaza is definitely my favorite.

The room was not clean. The refrigerator containing beverages was not replenished. The coffee machine did not have supplies to make any type of coffee.
Saturday night the room was filled with college students. Obviously, many more people than staying at hotel. There was an altercation at approximately 2:00AM. I contacted the front desk. No update or explanation, or apology was provided.

This was the first time I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Columbus-Downtown. I found the amenities to be excellent, the room exceptionally spacious and comfortable and very up to date.
The wireless access turned out to be a critical requirement when my meeting with a downtown customer moved from a face to face to a web meeting. My only critic is that the internet service fell a bit short in it's ability to support the performance needed to reliably support the audio / video functions being used in the meeting.
Overall I'm quite pleased with the Crowne Plaza Columbus-Downtown and highly recommend it.
