Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ajax321 Not a resort but a fair hotel
Restaurant was fair to poor, very small and ethnic quinine only. Prices for hotel and dining were more than reasonable but service was lacking. Parking was also very inexpensive. $5.00 per day.
I would stay here again if I was traveling through but would not make this my destination.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by AustralianTraveler Decent place to stay
Had a peaceful stay. The staff were friendly, especially Daniel at reception.
Having traveled from Australia, we hadn't done as much research as we should've about the area we were going to be staying. We spent most of our days driving around (as we weren't in the centre of the 'action'), but that worked for us. The area wasn't the best, but the hotel was fine.
The only disappointment was that there was no hotel restaurant where we could go down for breakfast, like most hotels we're used to staying at. That was an inconvenience ...
The beds were comfortable, the rooms always neat .. and again, friendly staff. Loved that the valet service was only $5 a day, which was great for our rental car.
Overall I give this place 3.5 stars.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by mail4dale62 Love the view and the Club Lounge
I traded in some points to get a free night here. I got room 925 which is a King with Whirlpool Bath. This is a corner room facing north and east. It was a clear day/night so we had a great view of downtown LA. We even could see the Hollywood sign and Griffith Observatory in the distance. The Club Lounge was great for dinner and breakfast. The view from the Club Lounge was great too. I will do this again some time.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JHawkNan Great Location for USC Parents
Our daughter is a freshman at USC so we'll be visiting pretty often. It's not easy to find IHG properties convenient to USC, but this one is a real gem! We appreciated the Priority Club Member hospitality room perks (great continental breakfast until 11 a.m. on weekends). The rooms are very nice. It was a little loud the first night, with a Quinceanera group in the room next door. The second night was much better after the all-nighter teenagers left! We weren't into the whole casino thing, but it was interesting to watch a big poker tournament that was going on. The best thing for us was the location, right off the 5 so only 15-20 minutes to get to USC by pretty direct highway routes. Pretty easy to get out when we left LA as well. Front desk staff were always very friendly. Our room was upgraded (no extra charge) and although parking is far away when you come in late in the evening, at least you can always find a space and it's free! (Valet parking also VERY reasonable at $5+tip).

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RickoGA Was a great place to stay
We vacationed in CA and stayed here two nights. We found the hotel to be perfect for our needs, restful and very nice staff. The price/value for the room and meal in the hotel restaurant was well worth it. Recommend staying here.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pam127 Great Staff Helpful- friendly. Whole hotel clean. Room very clean.
I wanted to play slots for my birthday weekend and was disappointed they only play cards. No slot machines. The room was clean and very quiet. I wish you had movies in the room. I would not recommend the massages. Staff did not listen in the massage area. Good breakfast. I wish the gift shop was more interesting. The staff from front desk, bell captain, conseouage all friendly and helpful, always smiling and saying hi. Welcome Back at the days end. Bed had lots of pillows. Comfortable bed and room Clean carpets in the hallway.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jerryx016 Incredible friendly service
I love this hotel but the most outstanding thing is the helpful employees. The people at the front desk went way out of their way to accommodate me with the problems I was having and because of them I had a great trip. Another example was the housekeepers who took special care with oxygen equipment I set up in the room.
The Arena cafe was great food but a little slow in getting it to you.
A very good and reasonably priced Chinese restaurant off the lobby too.
On my last visit I had three rooms and all 5 of us felt the same.

Great spa. Reasonably priced, and very nice amenities. Diana or Diane (sorry, can't remember) is a good massage therapist. The staff at the spa are friendly.

Welcoming personnel at reception despite our late arrival (10PM).
Concierge arranged return courtesy transport to Union Station for 8AM the following morning. Courteous Bellman showed us to our rooms: speedy and friendly room service. A good night's sleep, no time for breakfast in the breakfast room on our floor (9th): very capable driver got us to the station in his clean and comfortable transporter in good time, finding a less-trafficked route.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Leogirl Bed too soft
The bed was very comfortable, but it was a little too soft because I woke up w/ backaches. I think If it was a little firmer, my back wouldn't ache. Maybe consider pillow top mattresses & it will give you the best of softness & just enough firmness. Otherwise, my stay was amazing & a thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. The staff was very nice , helpful & professional. I would highly recommend your hotel and I personally will be back!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by DavidGWB Reasonably clean and good price
As others have stated, there are a certain number of shortcomings for this property, mainly the difficulty in finding a place to park, the lack of fitness facilities, and the lack of accessible outlets. Aside from this, the rooms are reasonably clean and the price is usually very decent.
This hotel happens to be extremely convenient for the business travel I do approximately 8-12 times per year to the area. I find the staff to be friendly and accommodating. One plus is the on site eating options, as well as the convenience store, all there to serve the casino patrons, but nice nonetheless.
Overall, a decent stay for the price.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Best Staff In L.A.
I stay here frequently for both work and pleasure and would recommend for either. The staff here is excellent. Ben and Mel at front desk are both professional and helpful and go out of their way to make your stay most accommodating. Their valet is the best you can find. Abbey takes the best of care for you and your car. Even had my window replaced when it had been broken prior to my arrival.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Wood51 Business traveler
I would not recommend this hotel unless you were staying for the purpose of visiting the casino. The parking is either valet or self park, if you chose to self park be prepared to walk 5 to 7 minutes to your vehicle. The hotel caters to the casino patrons more than the business traveler, which I can understand their need to make money. But as a business traveler I will not stay at this hotel again.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Business7 Friendly Staff, But No Gym On Site
The staff was friendly, the beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean, the valet staff were great, but there was not a gym / fitness center on site due to renovations , which was a HUGE disappointment. When I questioned the availability of a fitness center on site I was given a free pass to a local fitness center within a few miles of the hotel. UNFORTUNATELY, it was a run down (broken treadmills and equipment) and dirty gym in a questionable area, so I only used it once.
Had I realized that I would be paying for a very lengthy 12 night stay stay in a hotel without a gym on site I would have definitely chosen the nearby Double Tree or even a hotel a bit further away for the convenience of a safe and clean on site fitness center.
Fitness centers should be a priority to a hotel that claims to be a "RESORT".

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Gabygabygaby I emailed hotel manager a days ago with no response
Let me start by saying.... I stay in LA at least once a month for a few days for the last few years . I have stayed no where but there Commerce Casino. During my last stay I emailed the hotel manager to address some of my concerns. Days later ... No response. I found it ironic that I get this email asking me to review my stay. I would appreciate it if he contacted me to discuss my concerns. His name is Mr.Zarrahy. I feel more comfortable discussing this privately .

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Unimpressed13 Unimpressed Priority Club Gold Member
I have been a Priority Club gold member for years and quite frankly was not impressed by this hotel & casino. My room was filthy dirty. I had to move the nightstand to plug in my cell phone charger and the amount of filth and dust behind there indicated that it has likely never been cleaned. Additionally, despite advertising fitness facilities on site none were available. When I inquired about fitness facilities I was told that due to rennovation they were unavailable but was given no offer of an alternative. I will be traveling to LA frequently for work and will not stay at the Crowne Plaza Commerce Casino again.

The parking is located in the back of the building and the security made me show my room key and my id each time i re-entered the building. I should not have to walk outside and around the building to avoid such inconvenience.
