Not much atmosphere in restaurant but food good.

Comfortable bed and great service.

Hotel just a bit dingy and bathroom was cramped and in need of update. Having said that, the room was comfortable, especially the bed and the staff was courteous and caring.

Annoying Experience

It all started when we made our reservations in July for a September date for a room reserved in a block for a wedding. We were told we would get a confirmation letter by email that day. Three days went by and I had to call for them to send me the confirmation letter.

We get there on our Sept. date and check into our room. The room was nice...very clean. We had a couple hours to kill before going to the wedding, so we decide to order room service. We hit the button on the phone for room service...no answer. Try again in a few minutes...no answer. We end up having to call the operator and she transfers us there. They finally answer. We place our order and are told we had to wait 45 minutes. We're not too happy, but figure they may be busy, so we'll just have to wait. An hour goes by...no room service. We call...no answer. Call again...answers, but immediately hangs up. Call again....they finally answer. We give our room number and they claim they brought the food up, knocked and no one answered, so then they called and no one picked up. We had not left the room, and granted we may have not heard a knock if it wasn't loud enough, but I'm pretty sure we would have heard the phone ring. They said, 'oh, he must have gone to the wrong room'. I guess they called the wrong room too. By this time it was nearing time to leave for the wedding, so rather than chance having to wait longer - they would have to reheat the food and find our room - we chose not to have them come back. By this time we were pretty agitated and had to leave for our wedding in a bad mood.

Maybe they just had a bad day, but between that and having to call for the confirmation just turned us right off on this hotel. The same family is having a wedding next year and told us they were getting a block of rooms here again, but we have decided not to take them up on this particular hotel. Too aggravating!

The hotel staff's response just proves how incompetent they are. They answered someone else's review on mine. Obviously, if we never received our food, we did not enjoy it!!
