Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Great Location, Horrible Hotel
Front Desk Clerks Bradley and Justin were great, we experienced an issue with our booking since we booked through a third party. We had booked a two bed room, since I was there with my friend and her daughter, but when we got there, the room type had been overbooked. The 3rd Clerk was just mean, I felt bullied and embarrassed. He did offer me a complimentary roll away bed. I was in such shock it honestly took me a few minutes to understand how this could have happened. He said things to me like "these things always happen with 3rd party booking sites", "That's why it is better to call here and reserve through us rather than use the 3rd party to save 5-10 bucks".
Thankfully Justin came to the rescue and found us a room that just needed to be cleaned. And Bradley found us places to walk to while we waited, and recommended local restaurants.
After an hour wait we were able to have the two beds...which were god awful. Imagine the cheapest spring mattress you could find, squeaky, uncomfortable, and stiff springs.
Also we had the additional misfortune of lodging there while a dance team was in town. This meant there were drunk people everywhere, empty beer cans in the elevator, and empty liquor bottles by the pool. And were awakened multiple times during the night by drunk guests swimming in the pool and screaming at 3 AM. Finally someone got them to leave, only for us to learn that their room was next to ours. Now the screaming was 2 doors away and the walls were paper thin.
The hotel location was great for our trip, but I will never stay at this hotel again and have already told my loved ones to do the same.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Sophie4 Disappointing room, but good staff
The room was clean, bed was comfortable. Refridgerator was difficult to open and not very cool - no controls. Bathroom was very inefficient, no counterspace at all and sink faucet made it nearly impossible to wash face, brush teeth, etc. Not very well planned out, was disappointed and considered leaving after first night but was too much trouble and not enough time to do so with my conference schedule.

The DART train came passing by throughout the whole night, which was incredibly noisy even at the higher floors. In addition to that there was very load classical music from outside from the Mc Donalds throughput the night to keep homeless people away from the neighborhood, which was opposite the hotel.
Must have been my worst night sleep in any hotel ever.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Blacktie096 STARCHED SHEETS
I expected more. Average hotel at best. Parking is convenient and the staff are friendly and courteous. The room is clean, but when I got into bed it was as if I was laying on newspaper. The SHEETS ARE STARCHED. Very uncomfortable, but at least the sheets were not wrinkled. The rate was very competitive but if I had it to do over, I would have stayed someplace else.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by RedNinja Long night with no apology
My recent stay was not a pleasant one. The front desk staff was fair, not very welcoming yet efficient at getting my room assigned. The room was clean, but when I turned on the bathtub faucet the water was brown! I let the tub drain and tried again and it was "less brown" but still heavily tinted rust color. The real problem was at 4 am I was awaken by very loud banging and I initially thought someone was trying to come in the room but it was the sliding glass door on the balcony. There was a huge gap between the sliding door and where it overlapped the window and it was banging very loudly and constantly. I tried to go back to sleep with no luck. The banging and the traffic noise coming into the room was too loud. I eventually wedged a bath towel into the gap and got enough pressure to fill the gap and hold the door from slamming into the glass. Did not get much sleep. Upon checkout the "system" was down so I could not get a receipt for the stay and the staff did not even inquire how my stay went. After I informed the front desk about the balcony door they said "ok, we'll have engineering cheek it out". That was it.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Jkis Friendly staff
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was older but very convenient to everything downtown. Not many perks for members like a club room or room upgrades, no valet parking. Things you expect from a higher end hotel. The Hallway from elevator to our room smelled old and like chemicals. Sheets were very hard. We had a balcony but sliding door was disabled. Our free breakfast buffet was cold and average, but the staff was very nice,
We only stayed one night. For the money I guess it was a bargain but being an ambassador international hotel member I expected a little more updating and not have chemical old smells from the hallway to our room.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by df3129 uncomfortable beds
I have been staying here 1 - 2 times a year for several years. This is the first time I have been disappointed. They changed the beds and they are very hard, not plush pillow tops like the past, the bedding was also nothing special. It use to be very plush, like sleeping on a bed of down pillows. The hallways were hot but, I was unable to get my room warmed up to a comfortable temp. Had it set at 82 for 3 days and it just ran non-stop with out getting the room warm. The staff was friendly but made jokes about problems that arose, like they didn't really care, and they did nothing about. Each day I also had to return to the front desk for a new key because mine stopped working. It was a big hassle. At this point I am not sure if I will stay at this site on my next trip to Dallas.
