Rude and unhelpful service

May 17, 2015

I am so disappointed with my stay here. I was coming into town from Seattle for a large community service event. My flight was diverted to Austin and I had to miss one night's stay. I called as soon as I was diverted and told the staff. When I checked in the next day, I was told that I would still have to pay for my room the night I was not there, and my account was charged as such. The staff were unwilling to help me or even discuss the issue.
Very disappointing.

Crowne Plaza downtown Dallas, 11th floor, was a clean and comfortable room. It's only 3 blocks of safe walking to the convention center, so that's a big plus. Food is OK. Decor is a little old. Overall it's comfortable and probably good value for a downtown location. There are number of good restaurants w/in walking distance; also safe to walk to/from.

Bathrooms must be remodeled asap

May 09, 2015

The main reason I really disliked my stay in this hotel was that the bathroom was pretty gross. It was clean enough, yes -- it had obviously been cleaned before I arrived. But the bathroom itself was just gross to be in -- I felt like I shouldn't take my shoes off. The sink was just a stand-alone sink popping out of the wall, with no counter. The toilet had a toilet seat but no cover. The shower just blended into the rest of the room with a kind of dingy shower curtain and had the same tile as the rest of the room. Honestly, it reminded me of a prison bathroom. I put a towel down in the shower because I was concerned about standing on the tile barefoot.

Dear slammdunc23, Thank you for staying with us at the Crowne Plaza Dallas Downtown and for taking the time to review our property. It sounds to us like you were in a ADA Accessible room by the description, so yes the arrangement of the bathroom area is definitely different than our standard rooms. We are sorry that you were so severely inconvenienced and grossed out by this bathroom arrangement, and most of all that it appears to have ruined you opinion of us and your stay. Thank you again for staying, we hope you will give us another opportunity to serve you in the future. Sincerely, Brian Angerer Front Office Manager Crowne Plaza Dallas Downtown
