Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Average Hotel Property The property was average. The carpets were in in desperate need of replacement. There was a musty smell in the rooms and hallways. I asked four different people for a dining recommendation - front desk staff, bellman, manager, food server. To a person each said, "Our restaurant is very good." When pressed, no one could or would name an off-property restaurant. My wife and I were in town for one night. We wanted to see what the city had to offer. We found a very nice, trendy restaurant within walking distance of the hotel in the Oregon District. While I understand the hotel would prefer its guests leave as much of their money as possible in the hotel, recommending a restaurant off-property (particularly the one where we dined), will please your guests and make them want to return and stay at your hotel in the future. Thanks to the valet staff who, even though I self parked, were very friendly and eager to assist. I got a great recommendation from one of the valet's on a running route that saved me from having to workout on a treadmill. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel Nice updated hotel . Comfortable bedding, quiet rooms. Enclosed walkway from parking structure to hotel (likely a city of Dayton issue) is not a good first impression. Needs paint, clean windows, painted doors and clean floors. September 5, 2014

They did not know anything about it when I was at the airport waiting to be picked up and I had to call to see if they were coming to get me. Also, even if a place is within walking distance, if a shuttle is requested, it should be given without a discussion of walking distance. It is a service provided to the customer by the hotel.
