Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Helpful front desk I worked with the front desk before our arrival to get a group rate. They were very helpful and made the adjustment easily. We were delayed checking in because the room type we requested was not ready. I was disappointed because it was after check in time and we had made the reservation well in advance. At check out we left 2 items in the room. They were able to retrieve them and we received them in the mail within 2 days. All in all a good experience. March 29, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It was okay, could have been better! Okay, I liked the room. The decor was great. The bed was like sleeping on clouds. I even like that the TV had many channels and the internet had great bandwidth. The downside was that the room was dirty and dusty. The restaurant staff was slow and did not acknowledge me on both occasions for over 10 minutes. If I didn't have to eat in the restaurant on my next visit, I would stay here again. Unfortunately, there are not many good restaurants around, so I need a good hotel that has a good restaurant. They need to focus on their service. March 28, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by bathroom our stay at cp was nice staff were nice bathroom was super small when you opened door in it hit the toilet to get in tub or turn on shower you had to close the door.We also had one moore small problem at check in when we made reservations I requested a king wich was not available and I was told to ask when we checked in I did and was told I get what I reserved without even checking very un professional. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Room and service The room was small and felt cramped. The bed was to hard to sleep on. The bathroom was very small. The front desk person was rude and short. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Place to Stay! I've stayed at other Crowne Plazas and this is definitely one of the better properties I've stayed at. The room was very comfortable and looks like it was recently renovated. The flat screen had a lot of HD channels which was a pleasant surprise. Most properties I've stayed at have the flat screens but don't upgrade to the better cable service. The only thing I didn't like was that you couldn't take the thermostat below 65 degrees. I prefer to sleep in cold air, and I realize I'm more in the extreme with this, but I would've liked the room a few more degrees colder. The staff was efficient and friendly. The couple of times I called the front desk, they picked up within a couple of rings and in one case offered a better solution to an issue I was having. Great people! January 15, 2013

The staff were very polite and friendly. But the shuttle bus we had organised to pick up a group of 10 from a wedding did not show up even after 2 phone calls, forcing us to walk for 10 minutes in wedding attire with 5 children in the snow and freezing winds. Upon check-in, they only had a double room and requested/paid for a King bed (I also called two days before to inform that my flight would arrive very late and to expect me into the hotel around midnight for a King room). When the folks working in the restaurant upstairs ran out of to-go lids, they put saran wrap over my cup. I asked for change for a $20 bill to give the valet a tip. They did have any cash, nor did they offer to go get the cash, but instead suggested I try the front desk. The front desk did not have any, but they promptly went and got the change. The valet and the other guy who brought my bags to my room were very helpful. I have seen worse, but none for the cost associated with this Crowne Plaza. January 2, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Needs security improvements Several members of my group had cars get broken into in the parking garage. Bricks were thrown through their windows. Parking garage may be controlled by the convention center but if Crowne Plaza is going to recommend that as a parking area then they have a responsibility to make it a safe location or find a more suitable location. The garage attendant staff members did nothing to help get drivers in and out of the garage when traffic was backed up. December 8, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by rough weekend my unit was having a military dining out at the convention center and a number of us used the crowne plaza for our overnight stay. we encountered a number of problems. first, i was offered the perk of wine and cheese for being a premium member and i put down 5pm for the delivery. it must have come after 6pm but we were already gone to our event. throughout the weekend, the were always problems with the elevators making us walk the 10 floors or wait excessively. at one point, just one of the three was working. the waitress assumed the money on the bar in front of us was a tip and took it and it would have equated to a 100% tip. she did return it when informed. a number of our Soldier's used the hotel's shared parking garage and many had their vehicles broken into during the night. the police reported this has happened before. some couples who came in different vehicles actually had both vehicles broken into - shattered windows. senseless damage and in most cases nothing was stolen. all in all, a very rough weekend. From the moment we arrived to our exit the following day everyone was gracious, helpful, and very pleasant to talk with. We dined in the restaurant on the 12th floor that evening. We absolutely had the best meal and wine, and our server did an excellant job of taking care of us. Thank you for making it so special for our stay. We will remember this for future plans. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient location, pleasant stay, bad pillows Really, the title says it all. If you are going to Dayton, this is an ideal location and the stay was pleasant. The hotel is near the neat little Oregon district. My only complaint was that the pillows were uncomfortable, a little lumpy, and too firm for my liking. November 16, 2012

The hotel has recently gone through a huge renovation along with lots of new staff. Everyone was very poliet and helpful with all of my needs. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Check in procedure Attempted to check in well after 3:00 P.M., however, room was not ready for us. We were part of a statewide OES Grand Chapter session, and there were a number of people trying to check in. After standing in llne and finally getting to the registration desk, I was told the room was not ready, and it would be about 30 minutes or so, before it would be ready. How would I know it is ready???...get back in line later and try again. There should be some way to let those who have attempted to check in know when the rooms are ready, be called up to the desk and processed. Not go back to the end of the line each time until you are finally told you may check in. October 6, 2012
