Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Prepare to have to pay extra for parking at the Crown Plaza While staying as a guest at the Crown Plaza for a two day event, parking at the Crown Plaza wasn't included. At $25 per day it was a disappointing surprise. I know that we will be staying at another hotel when we have future events in downtown Denver. We have believe that as a guest you shouldn't have to pay for parking. In addition, complementary coffee service in the lounge in the morning has become an expectation. They do offer Starbucks at the bar. This was a nice option. December 19, 2013

When we arrived the hotel had upgraded us to suites for my wife and I and also our daughter and her boyfriend! we then had booked another room for two nights for 3 of us later in the week. once again our plans changed, so we needed two rooms. the hotel was again kind enough to book us Into suites. We are so grateful for the excellent service we received. It certainly pays to be loyal to the IHG properties!! December 3, 2013

Breakfast could have been better, but honestly hotel buffets in this class rarely are and fresh eggs were made by request. Would definitely stay here again. December 1, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing - not up to standard There were just too many small faults which in themselves were perhaps not that major but taken together delivered a service which was not up to that normally associated with a Crowne Plaza. I had two separate reservations about which I had emailed previously in order to get them linked - this did not happen and caused inconvenience when checking out and prevented an upgrade. There was no hot water one morning. There was no duvet on the bed on the first night and no spare blankets/pillows in the room. There is no proper restauant in the evening - you have to eat in the bar and the menu is limited to say the least. Room service was very slow although this was not the fault of our waiter as he was rushed off his feet. Tea and coffee were not replenished fully on a daily basis and I was informed that bottled water was only provided on the first night. I saw the Duty Manager on departure and she was suitably apologetic but the hotel needs managing with their guests in mind. November 30, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Flawless stay The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. We received an upgrade after letting them know it was my wife's birthday which we really enjoyed. It just topped off our weekend. The room was clean and appointed very well. The breakfast buffet had a great selection and was noticeably fresh. Being just off 16th street mall it was convenient. No problem getting a taxi. We felt safe. I will differently make another reservation when we plan a weekend in Denver. Keep up the good work and please pass this on to your staff from the front desk to the service workers. Everyone greeted us with a smile. November 27, 2013

The parking is $25 a day at the hotel and is a bit tight to get in and out of. Restaraunt prices are reasonable and the bar is quaint. Over all a good experience and i would go back. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Average hotel A prankster pulled the fire alarm "maliciously" on the 10th floor at midnight, as the fire marshal told us via loudspeaker in every room after the fire trucks arrived, and while the hotel can't control that, it gives an indication of the young and restless clientele and overall feel of the place. It almost certainly was a guest because you have to have a room key to get to the guest floors. Would not go back. You could hear very clearly every door open and close in rooms nearby. Having said that, the beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was fine, if small, and the hotel staff was excellent and helpful. But they're working with a property that just doesn't give you the right feel. November 18, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Magnificent all the way around! Several of my family members and I stayed here for two nights for a family wedding. The staff was gracious and friendly, accommodating our every need. The lounge has a fun atmosphere, and the food was delicious. The staff at the reception made the day even better, being extremely helpful in all the wonderful chaos. The wedding and reception area was set up beautifully. The location of the hotel is perfect for those who want to walk the 16th Street Mall and take in the many establishments. Once we parked at arrival the vehicle stayed and we walked everywhere. The only "con" I have is that the vents in the bathroom(s) allowed conversation from the room above to be clearly heard, which was problematic the louder the party became. The bed was comfortable, and once the noise quieted down, a great night's sleep was to be had. I only stay at this hotel when in Denver, which is quite often due to visiting family, and getting to the city for a getaway. November 13, 2013
