Close to Cobo

This hotel is located in very close proximity to Cobo Hall where I attended a conference. The staff at the Crown Plaza Riverfront was friendly, helpful, and competent. The staff met every expectation.

The linens were very nice and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very small. The room felt a bit dated, but was very clean and comfortable.

Unfortunately when our hotel was renovated, in order to keep the beauty of the bay view window style layout of our rooms many of the bathroom sizes remained as they were when the hotel was originally built. Good location, but that's about it

Hotel next to the COBO Center was a great location but the hotel falls far below the standard of other Crowne Plaza (and similar) hotels that I've stayed in. A multitude of reasons will likely cause me to not stay here again.

Hotel needs some fine-tuning

The lower level entrance is confusing. The sign pointing to "lobby" is very small. During our 30-minute wait for our valet we saw many confused people entering the building and we gave directions to several people. There should be a larger sign indicating the elevator to the lobby.

The valet system needs work also. When the texting system is not working there should be some way to contact the valet to avoid a long wait like the 30-minute wait we experienced.

The bar in a major downtown hotel should be open later than 11PM on a Friday night.

The room was spacious and comforable.
