My son and I visited Dubai for the first time and we were glad that we choose the Crown Plaza . Very good Breakfast , Nice big clean Rooms . Fantastic Dinner at the Spice island and a very nice pool and a very polite staff.
The crown Plaza in Deira is very near to everything . Take a cab or metro and you can visit everything you want to see in my opinon is it cheap back and fort too the strip/palm island about 120 dhiram.
I only can recomend every one a staying at the crown plaza public beach is near.
If you going for business , travel ,or holliday then Crown plaza is the place to be .

This is a nice property, a bit older but well kept and no noise from the airport. Had reserved a Club King Room and upon arrival this was booked up so they upgraded me to a Executive Suite which was awesome. Great service and the fresh flowers in the Lobby were amazing.
Will stay again on my next visit to Dubai.

The staff at this hotel could teach customer service to the staff at other hotels, and they would teach it best by example. I felt completely cared for as a guest and was never left waiting for service. Someone would always see that I needed something and come immediately to assist. This is an excellent hotel with top notch staff.

Although I have priority club rewards and previliage club, They did not give me even one hour as late check out, not even 30 minutes!
I have many memberships in international hotels, and I haven't seen such a bad experiance in the check out elsewhere!
I did not feel the comfort in the room as there were noisiness on the level above the one I'm staying in.

I have stayed at this location at least 10 times and it always delivers. Fast check in/check out, great service, courteous staff, great in room menu.
The renovations really bring it to the next level as well.
I cannot find anything to complain about.

Having had my doubts about staying at this property,after staying at many other 5 star properties in Dubai,i was pleasantly surprised at the service delivery and superb revamped rooms.The ease and comfort at this property exceeded my expectations.
I am told that the lobby will also be given a complete face lift,which will only make the experience all the more better.The breakfast buffet seems to be catering for all tastes,as the variety was quite vast.It was something we should look forward to daily.The location is very good with the metro a few blocks away and a shopping mall in walking distance.This property will most certainly see me again.

All staff very friendly and I received an unexpected free upgrade to a suite upon arrival. I was on a stopover so needed an early call which was booked for 2.45am which I did not receive. Luckily I was awake anyway. This was the only black mark on an excellent stay and will use the hotel again and can recommend it.

I have previously stayed in the Crowne Plaza Diera on business and because I thoroughly enjoyed it, I decided to bring my wife and two kids aged 2 and 3 to this hotel. on the second day my wife decided to take the two kids down to the paddling pool, she was refused entry because she did not have a swim suite on, when she explained its only a paddling pool for kids its barely 30 cm deep and she does not want to swim in it but supervise the kids, the staff member told her it would NOT be possible and ordered her and the kids to leave the paddling pool. When my wife demanded to speak to the manager no one was there for good part of an hour!! then she was told to go to the room and would receive a call which did not suffice until I intervened 3 hours later having returned to the hotel. Its a good hotel but unfortunately the staff seem to lack basic common sense, I can only attribute it to inexperience as this hotel is fairly new in the chain. On this trip we stayed at the Yas Island Crowne plaza, the Intercontinental hotel in Abu Dhabi and the intercontinental hotel in Dubai and my wife was ALLOWED to supervise the kids in the paddling pool without needing a swim suite and the staff in all three other hotels were ever more helpful and whilst "rules are rules", the staff at this hotel should learn from their sister hotels on how to deal with these kind of situations, in most cases common sense and a little courtesy to young children just enjoying the break would prevails.

While in Dubai for a short two-day business stay, I was booked again at the Crowne Plaza -Deira.
The hotel has completed its renovations, and the results are spectacular.
Clean, modern and spacious environment.
The room is large, extremely comfortable and functional, and the bedding is among the most comfortable in the industry.
The staff continues to provide the highest level of service from the bellmen to the front desk, and the wait staff.
I will be returning to Dubai in late May, and am already looking forward to the stay.
Truly a fantastic hotel with great proximity to everything you need in Dubai.

I have used several hotels in the Intercontinental cjain in Dubai. My experience has always been satisfactory. Crowne Plaza Deira, was superb. The Club level services and facilities were excellent. The pool, gym and sauna were superior to many similar hotels.
This is my new home from home and I will stay here for all future visits to Dubai

The hotel is located right next to a great beach; with a popular pedestrain walkway and the Dubai Marina nearby.
Unfortunately construction works are taking place next door which spoils the ambiance outside.
The staff are very welcoming and could not be faulted in anyway.
The pool and the beach are a highlight, as is the bar on the roof, which is done out to a very high specification.

This is the second time I have stayed at Crowne Plaza Deira and it maintains its high standards. The staff are extremely helpful and always remember you by name. The new club lounge is fabulous and the staff there are extremely helpful and friendly - remembered my name from last year! The rooms have been refurbished and are very comfortable. Its location is good for use of the metro and access to the airport. Overall a good hotel to use as a base for exploring Dubai. I would recommend this hotel and if I return to Dubai I will definitely stay here again. Thank you to all that made our stay so enjoyable.

I had a reservation at a local Holiday Inn, but was moved here due to overbooking at the HI.
I was driven between hotels by the HI driver, but had to wait more than 15 minutes as they were unable to flag down a taxi, and this was very annoying as I had a pre-arranged dinner meeting which I ended up being late for.
The Crowne Plaza was a more upmarket hotel, and in the process of being refurbished. It certainly smelt of new carpet and paint!
I liked the room, it was fresh and modern, bed was comfortable and I slept well.
I was slightly annoyed as the gym wasn't open late in the evening when I tried to go (despite a sign on the counter suggesting it was open 24x7 for hotel guests). The access door was locked and no-one was around to let me in.
In the end I used the gym the next morning and it was fine, under used but fully functioning.
Due to the renovations the club lounge was out of action and I had breakfast in the main dining area. Unfortunately not exlcusive but it was a good selection.

Our first time in Dubai and weren't sure where to stay. Glad we chose this hotel. We checked in at 3am, 2 hours after we expected to be there and were happy with our room and service.
All the staff were extremely helpful and accomodating.
We will definately stay again

A very welcoming place to stay at. The staff and location are superb. The attention to detail in this hotel is awesome. The hotel is currently going under renovations and you can smell the fresh paint and wood stains all over the place. I stayed in this location twice within a month, and will visit again every time I am in Dubai on business or pleasure.

May I just say that despite the renovations that were going on this hotel was exactly what I wanted it to be. Great value and wonderful staff, from the Manager down.
Just as a funny side, we went for my wife's 50th birthday, which is the day before mine. The hotel didn't know this but had picked up it was my birthday from my membership and duly sent me a wonderful birthday cake, the Wife wasn't as happy as I was.

The location, price, and room were perfect for me. I was across the street from a very enjoyable night club, close to the mall and airport. The breakfast was a great way to start my day as the staff is warm and friendly and the food is good. It was very easy to get a taxi anytime I wanted to go somewhere.

I had to chose a hotel in last minute for a night's stay in Dubai. I was a little unsure of what to expect from Crowne Plaza Diera-Dubai since it is an old hotel. Luckily it is just at the end of full renovations. The rooms are amazing, good colour scheme and all what you expect from Crowne Plaza except that I requested a wake up call and never got it. Although the Crowne Plaza policy states that if you miss your wakeup call the stay is on them but they ignored this when i brought it up at the check out.
The rest was all well.

The gradual improvements to the rooms are noticeable. There was a minor flaw in my room, on the club level, as the glass shower door dragged on the tile flooring. It is a little upsetting that Harry's Bar was closed yet again and there is no comfortable place in which to enjoy a drink as the Tiki Bar is lacking in comforts and understaffed. Also, the guest in the room next to me was entirely too loud at an entirely inappropriate hour. As always, the staff was very accommodating.
