Were there for 3 nights. Spent one day on the beach and second to take a trip to Petra. Hotel does not have own beach, had to beg for voucher to public beach that was not very nice. Hotel itself is nice and provides a great view of marina and a Red Sea.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by sch327 Beautiful view on Red sea
My platinum elite status was recognised and I received a nice suite as upgrade. It has a huge balcony with beautiful view on the Red sea.
The hotel is located very close to the Ice mall with nice skating rink.
However It takes about ten minutes to walk to the sea. All places was very clean.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Oshryc staying at the crown plaza Eilat
My family and myself spend the last weekend at the crown plaza Eilat hotel. the hotel is located in a very good location and accessible to shopping area and restaurants.
The rooms are clean as well as the lobby and the pool and overall we enjoy being at the hotel.
the only downside was the reception staff that was very unhelpful and sometime annoying not responding to request or forgetting updating any request on the system creating embarrassment needing to explain things over and over to different shifts...
I would expect from Crown Plaza hotel stuff to be more professional and guests oriented.

I believe the management should change the fragrance of the parfume in the lobby and the style in the lobby. At breakfast I asked the waiter to change the pineapple since it had a bad taste. In the room coffee cups were not changed for my entire stay. Staff was however kind and nice.

I am a PLATINUM member with about 100 nights a year in IHG hotels. For the few times when I'm at home just wanted to spend a nice weekend with your kids where I just have no words to describe - arrived for check-in about 18:00, stopping at the main entrance the porter PROUDLY requesting that this does not stop. I’ve explained politely that I just like to check-in then will move the car but he said he does not care and does not want to have problems. Okay, I left my kids alone in the lobby and went to look for a parking. BTW the entrance was full by a PERMANENT parked cars. Then I’ve WAITED 45 minutes at the PRIORITY CORNER and no one paid me any attention – I was alone. I’ve requested to talk to the manager – nothing, the words was just passing a way. Subsequently, at 1 AM there was a knock on the door - service stuff with a bed in his hands – yes that’s right I didn’t mistaken 1:00 AM. The room where I sat was terrible and nobody cleaned and replacing the towels tills the end of the stay.

I came to the hotel for a long weekend with my family. After arriving to the hotel the first problem we had is the lack of parking space, so I had to leave my family with the language at the hotel entrance and look for a parking space around the hotel. It took me about 10 minutes to park my car. The check in process was VERY long. The reception worked slowly and it took another 30 minutes to check in.
I booked the hotel using my priority account, but at the reception they never greeted me as a priority club member. After showing my PLATINUM card and asking for the upgrade I got a feeling that I did something very wrong. I never got an answer if I'm eligible for the upgrade or not. I just got a key and frankly speaking after the long check in process I was glad to get ANY room.
The room was on the 7th floor. It was big and renovated, but the furniture was old. The over all impression was that the room was not clean.
The hotel has nice but in my opinion small pool . The pool bar was very convenient. We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. it was VERY noisy at night. At the last day I asked the reception to have a late checkout as a platinum member (13:00 instead of 11:00) and was refused. The checkout process was VERY long. It took another 30-40 minutes to checkout.
To make a long story short the hotel is definitely not 5 stars hotel (not in terms of the service and not in terms of the facilities). If you're planning a trip to Eilat, there are much better hotels to stay.
