It was a good place to stay. Cleanliness was not an issue at all. Atmosphere was great. Absolute value for money. Consistent shuttle services to and from EWR airport, malls and pharmacy.

We have stayed here before. Last time was better. The beds were comfortable. Reception staff (Tayna) couldn't do enough for us, One issue is at breakfast the waiter asked us to leave the restauant because it was busy. The only tables available were for 5 (two of us). We went back in, and we're happy to share with two others (which we did). Waiter then refused to clean our table. Otherwise our stay was good.

I got to this hotel with my sister for one night, when we arrived we got to the room, the bathroom was really dirty, there was hair all over the floor and also in the bathtub, when we called the front desk they said its not possible and they would have the room cleaned in the morning, but we were only staying one night, so im a little bit dissapointed at this. For the hotel itself, it was very expensive with the product received.

I stayed at the property without a reservation and the entire process went smoothly without any problems.
The staff was excellent, service was great and parking was free.
Restaurant menu had a variety of items; the order was taken and was quickly served..

This is my second stay at this hotel and I've never been happier. If I could change anything the only thing would be to make it more accessible. When driving here it's been a little difficult to find the way in. Other than that I'm very pleased!

The Hotel has seen it's glory days years ago. The rooms are functional but small and in need of serious facelifting. The breakfast buffet is a joke but it's for free! Personell seemed bothered if you tried to check in or out. Will not be staying there in the future!

I was disappointed with the service at the hotel. First, I had to wait 25 minutes for the shuttle. Then, even though I am a IGH Gold Rewards Club Member they did not even make a mention of it. There were no complimentary breakfast vouchers like I have received at other Crowne Plaza Hotels. There was no hospitality room available or if there was one, I was never made aware of it. The hallways to the training room where I taught my class and the training room itself needed vacuuming. Some of the doors in the women's restrooms would not lock. The coffee at the training room was weak. And, when I was ready to leave, I was told that I would have to wait until 3:30 for the next shuttle even though there was a hotel shuttle with a driver parked at the hotel entrance! Also, the free wi-fi did not work. Great signal though you could not get on the internet. I was there on business and that was highly inconvenient for me. The students that attended the meeting were charged for parking, even the ones that were staying at the hotel; they had to pay to use the business center's computer and also for printing which was inordinately slow. I am definitely advising the person who booked this hotel to look for alternative options next year.
The good things about the hotel: the room; comfort of the bed, room cleanliness, the wait staff at the restaurant when I had dinner, and the fitness room.

Checked in, and whencalling the front esk on three occassions, the phone rang 51 times, 47 times and 43 times respectively before it was answered. The internet on the 8th florr knocked me off no less than 60 times whereby I could not get any work done at all. The only woman who even tried to help was the night shift supervisor. She rebooted the system and allegedly sent a tech up to check the booster on that floor. Nothing was resolved - no call back or concern noted from staff. For this supposedly being the "flagship" of the IHG chain, I would remove my name from it completely. The beds were stiff and the stunk of cigarette smoke covered in fabreeze. There was no value added here and I will recommend that this hotel be dropped from the companies preferrred providers. In my humble opinion, this hotel is one step above a flop house. I have had better service and accomodations in third world countries at hotels rated as 1 star. This dump is a disgrace to the Crowne Plaza name.

I spent one night at the Newark Airport Crowne Plaza. I had a wonderful stay. My room was spacious and clean - I stayed in a King Bed Leisure Non-Smoking Room. There was a small refrigerator to keep my pop cold. I ordered a sandwich from the restaurant and brought it up to my room to eat it and it was delicious. Every employee that I came in contact with was very friendly and polite. I never heard any planes overhead during my stay. I did not use the indoor pool or the workout room, but I checked them out. There were people using the facilities and everything looked clean. I would recommend the Crowne Plaza to anyone.

Checked in after a long international flight. After being cheerfully greeted by the front desk grabbed some coffee and pastry at their little shop. Ate dinner at the hotel's cafe/lounge. The food was great and reasonably priced. But, here is the clincher; having slept in many hotel beds over my life I can say that this was the BEST night's sleep I have ever had at any one of them. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. The room was quiet, dark, and refreshingly cool. It is nice to wake up in the morning and feel well rested.

Arrived on business for a 3 day stay. Checked in at 8:30PM.
The room assigned did not have electric power to coffee maker and desk lamp. How can you work without a desk lamp? Called the front desk and was informed that electrician is already off duty, and no more room was available for transfer. Instead, suggested she will send someone to bring extension cord. Extension cord arrives and it was the wrong one (2 prong instead of 3 prong). Lady staffer had to make it work. After connecting extension cord, which was running across the room, we found out there was also no power to TV. The lady staffer had to make it work, again.
Next day afternoon I was assigned to a better room.
On last day of stay, I was hoping to sleep in for an 11AM check out. Fire alarm went off at 7AM. Rushed downstairs to the lobby. Was told to go back to our rooms. False alarm. No explanation.

The restaurant and bar service and staff were awful... no customer service relation what so ever, especially a particular waitress. an hour or two hours before the restaurant closes, the waitress tells a group of us that we can't order from the regular menu and that we can only order from the bar menu?? and then the same issue with bar drinks, she calls "last call" 2 hours before closing... and not to mention the waitress verbally attacks an 8 year old child who was with the parent... really?? and the hotel takes no responsibility for that, because they claim that, that section of the hotel is rented to someone else.... i doubt that we will be coming back to stay at this hotel again, nor would we recommend the hotel to any of our friends and family. HORRIBLE!!!!

I reserved for my wife as she was flying out next morning. Hotel seemed to still be under construction and funny smell to it. Female manager took care of her stay and was more than willing to do what she could to rectify the situation. I definitely appreciated the effort and her apology.

I had a good experience here. But mostly, I had to switch rooms, and I left my engagement ring in the first room... or I lost it somewhere in the shuffle.
I was SO UPSET... like crying and refusing to leave....
And Yvonne, the manager, couldn't have been more understanding and compassionate. She went to great lengths to help me find it, never made me feel like it wasn't very important, and personally called me when it was found. The best customer experience ever at a hotel!!

I read so many negative reviews so I was little apprehensive when booking this hotel but since it was near to the area where I had to go, I took a chance and booked it
I have nothing but praise. I had a wonderful stay. I don't know why people had so many negative reviews. May be the hotel has improved
I would definately recommend and would stay there when I am in that area again

This hotel is close to the Newark Airport and they have a shuttle service...apart from there nothing much to talk about. The front desk who checked me in showed no level of interest that I arrived at their hotel to stay..it was like.. Heres your key..Next!
I was given a room reserved for the physically challenged....Overall it was a depressing stay!

This applies to the Bar & Restaurant, not the Hotel. The Hotel is fine. “Nick” the Bar/Restaurant manager needs to work on his people skills. Hotel restaurant also has anti customer “policies” that really don’t make me want to come back to this establishment…..ever! I have been to this hotel/bar many times in the last 3 years on business and purchased food many times (over 30 days at this hotel this year). Today I felt like having some Chinese and ordered out. I looked for a place to have my meal and walked past the restaurant/bar. There were two persons at the bar and NOBODY at any of the tables. I sat down at a deserted table, watched the big screen and ate my dinner. I was told by Nick that I couldn’t sit there…..what? I’m a guest at the hotel, I’m not bothering anyone, and there is literally nobody around. So come on….what is the big deal? It’s not like I’m taking up a table that people are in line to have. Plus, I have purchased food here many times before. It’s a Hotel Restaurant inside the hotel, for Pete’s sake. He said it was policy. OK Nick, show me the “policy” on paper. I await your response with a date stamp that shows this “long time policy.” If it does exist, then it needs to be deleted/re-evaluated.
