Overall, a decent place to stay. Extremely close to everything you need. Hotel staff was nice and hotel was generally clean. A very good value. The bed in our room was uncomfortable. My major concern was regarding the swimming pool. Someone had vomited into the pool and they were unable to clean the pool and reopen it. The maintenance person in charge of cleaning the pool could care less about working and getting the pool reopened. He displayed a major attitude when my wife asked when the pool would be reopened. The pool issue completely soured what was otherwise a nice experience.

We stayed here during a school reunion in June 2013 and it was very convenient to the turnpike and the reunion site off Roosevelt Blvd. The King sized bed was comfortable - nice and clean room and sofa. The staff was very helpful and it was very nice for us to have a restaurant we could eat at without leaving the hotel. We especially liked chicken wings and drinks Sunday evening in the small ball/restaurant. Breakfast was a little hectic because of large groups being seated and we didn't go for the breakfast buffet -- everyone else seemed to be happy with that. I would stay here again. Just know you need an E-Z Pass to get off the turnpike on that exit. Glad I chose this one. The other hotel chains looked less inviting.

Hotel is in a good location, but there are other hotels around. Could not get WiFi in my room, only near the front lobby so that was a big inconvenience. Breakfast buffet was very pricey and rooms weren't very clean. Wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by rmlopez77 floor was soaking wet/ poor restaurant service.
We checked into our room opened the door to a horrible mildew smelling order. walked to the window to find the entire half of the room soaking wet from what appeared to be coming from the A/C unit. the room had been turned from the guest before me so how it was missed by house keeping is beyond me. After we gotten settled in our new room we went the restaurant for dinner. I ordered a hamburger medium. I was the told that all the patties are precooked and can be served well done. i would think a $10 would be made to order.

Front desk personnel did an outstanding job for our group. We were there for a wedding and although bridal website referred to a bus to pick guests up at the hotel, not only did we not receive information from the bridal couple, but the front desk was not aware of a bus. Front desk personnel asked us to have bride/groom call the hotel and make arrangements to have bus information delivered to each guest's room. Front desk printed up information and distributed it in time for everyone to receive notice. At least half the people on the bus later said that they would not have known anything about a bus. Front desk staff handled matter courteously and professionally. Kudos!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by JD328i Nice Hotel, Irresponsive Service
As stay at this hotel frequently on business. The hotel is generally clean, has a nice ambience, and the staff is friendly. However, that is where it ends for the staff. Three weeks ago I stayed there and my iron was bad, I stopped at the desk on my way out in the morning and told them it needed replaced. I got back to my room and assumed it was replaced. When I went to iron the next morning, I noticed found out it was not. I stopped at the desk again that morning and explained that I had told them the iron was bad the previous day and they did not replace it. The next night I got back to my room and it was replaced.
Then, last week I stayed there for two nights and I left on Friday. I realized on Monday that I left a pair of pants and a shirt in the closet and asked if they had found them. The staff person said they would check and never called me back. I called again on Tuesday and the staff person said she would check. I asked her to please call me back as I had someone in town who was getting their vehicle serviced across Street road and they could swing by and pick it up. I never got a call back. Long story, short. Hotel is nice, just don't expect much from the staff.

No coffee available 24/7. I asked the front desk and they sent me to the bar. They acted like they never heard of coffee.
Bathrooms were not in very good shape. Cracks in the tile, drain was broken off, had to physically remove to shower, bath mat worn out, a/c froze up always, had to let melt, breakfast was mediocre at best, got free coupons but gave away as food was cold, pancakes were hard on the edges, hostess could care less.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DogTired Air conditioning broken and not fixed
The air conditioning appears to be monitored by a motion sensor. I had a three night stay and all three nights were uncomfortable. The first night I though I didn't set the A/C low enough. The second night I figured it out at midnight. I had to reset the temperature every two hours or the room turned into a sweatbox. I was up at 12, 2, 4, and finally gave up on sleep at 6am.
I informed the front desk of the issue. I returned late that night assuming the problem was fixed. Nope! At least I had early travel the next morning at 4:30.
The experience proved to be exhausting and took a toll on my body and mind.

Read reviews before booking and thought this would be a good fit for our party of two adults and two children while visiting relatives. Upon checking in, we were greeted as rewards members and given a brief overview of the perks. I went out to the parking lot with a luggage cart, loaded it, then had a hard time getting in through the doorway. Two employees walked by and didn't acknowledge my difficulties. Finally muscled it into the lobby and started looking for the elevators. Finally, the front desk person pointed the way. Getting the cart onto, then off the elevator was tricky, but we finally arrived at our room, #442. As soon as I opened the door, I was struck with how small it was with the two double beds taking up most of the space. It felt claustrophobic to me. Since the room appeared to be clean and it had a nice mini-fridge and microwave, we decided to make do. The bathroom was okay except for the big chip out of the side of the tub and the drain had to be physically removed during a shower so the water would drain. I like a lot of light, so when I opened the drapes, I was surprised to have a not so wonderful view of a large dumpster and the cars and trucks flying by on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Between the traffic noise and the the hard beds, it was very difficult to sleep. The kids were all excited that the hotel advertised a game room. They had brought coins from home to spend. We looked all over for it, finally asked at the desk, and were told it was being converted into a yoga room. Seriously? I had two disappointed kids on my hands. Oh, and the game room is still listed on the website. The restaurant and breakfast room was very nice and their staff wonderful. If you decide to stay here, you might want to request an odd number room. It might be quieter. I didn't think this particular hotel was up to Crowne Plaza standards.

The beds are horribly uncomfortable. The staff was nice and Brady's is a pretty good place to get food and drinks. There are some perks to the rooms.. They are big, the bathrooms are big and have storage. There are lots of t.v. channels. But the beds are so hard and uncomfortable along with the uncomfortable pillows that I couldn't move my neck after staying there a couple of days . The other big drawback was the difficulty connecting to the internet.. and you couldn't call the help desk directly, you have to call the front desk who will then call them and call you back. The good part was the front desk staff was very nice and took care of it quickly. I also had an issue with the housekeeping staff coming in the room when the do not disturb sign was on the door. If they would get better beds, I would recommend the hotel but if you want a good nights sleep and wake up without pain in your back and neck, I can't recommend it right now

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by mrandmrsp93 Comfortable room and accomodating staff
My husband and I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Trevose. The staff was truly helpful and accomodating. Even when we were out sightseeing the staff helped us with an address to one of our destinations. We waited for nothing. The hotel was clean and all of our needs were met. It was within 30 minutes of all the great must see places like Independence Hall, the African American History Museum, the Liberty Bell, and Penns Landing. If you like gambling, Parx Casino was barely 5 minutes away. Do not forget to ask them about local places to eat. They gave us a great breakfast suggestion and then handed us a list of restaurants and diners. We were very happy with our stay.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by baw1227 Disappointing Stay
My husband and I stayed at this Crowne Plaza for two nights, using points. Our room was on the fifth floor, one of two levels accessible only by card. Although the room was clean and the bed was fairly comfortable, there was a lot of noise from the heating unit, the street, and the room above, which didn't make for the most restful of nights. What was more disturbing, however, is that on our second night, we tried to phone for a wake-up call, only to find the phones in the room were not working. We resorted to using the alarm clock, but discovered by chance in the middle of the night that the clock had the wrong AM/PM setting, so the alarm would not go off when needed (thank goodness for cell phone alarms!). When we went to check out the next morning and told the front desk attendant about the phones, we were informed that none of the phones in the hotel were working! They had never bothered to post any kind of notice to let their patrons know about the problem. In addition, as Priority Club members, we've usually been offered a free bottle of water at other Holiday Inn properties. Here, we were charged $2. When I saw someone getting two bottles at no cost the next morning, I was told I could have another bottle (for free), but that they "usually" did charge. I questioned that because of my previous experience at Holiday Inn Express, and was told "That's a different chain, so they have different policies." Aren't they all part of the same company? The nicest thing I can say is that for a hotel chain, the food in the restaurant was reasonably priced.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone who expects the "normal" and "quality" the Plaza brand offers. The staff acted very indifferent to any and all requests. I experienced this first hand by the service i received and also witnessed guests being treated as an inconvience by the front desk staff. As a VERY SMALL example, The lobby coffee is available to priority club members for free and everyone else is charged $2.00. The cups are kept behind the counter out of the reach of the guests.....In order to get a cup, you have to wait in line behind guests trying to checking or handle other business.....really? Concerned about someone being dishonest over a cup of coffee? If that isnt bad enough, The creamer, sugar, etc aren't stocked regularly. Forget about asking the desk for any of these items because they will have you walk to the restaurant to get the nonexistent supplies you're told are over there. I saw one particular young lady behind the desk essentially telling off another guest because of a disagreement over what hotel "package" she book.....just terrible. Then there is the rooms, PAPER thin walls. You hear everything and everything going on in the halls and the adjacent rooms. I normally don't write reviews.....however, business travelers, steer clear unless you are a very tolerant person. While I have never stayed in an economy branded hotel, I left wondering if I would have been better off there instead of this one.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by rickfromATL Dated hotel with frequent problems - good food/bev
I have stayed at this location several times in the past few months and almost always have a problem in the room. Depending on location, internet is spotty. Other memorable challenges - missing outlets, leaking shower, inconsistent shower temperature, non-functioning heat (cold room) and an odd odor in one of the rooms. On the good side, the pub has a great beer selection and the food is decent. Staff has always been helpful. Summary - the hotel is old with typical problems. If you have the option, pick a better hotel.

Good hotel but even better staff. I thought I had lost a considerable amount of money in the hotel room after I checked out and they were very professional in helping me to find it. I later found it in my own luggage and left the maid a nice tip but the way they handled themselves through what was a tough ordeal for me was very professional and I would stay there again if in the area. Thanks to the staff at Crown Plaza!

We were In Philly to visit a sick relative. At our check out I was telling the desk clerk about our visit to the hospital and was told that I get a discount when the stay was related to that particular hospital. I would have never known that. Thank you. Also the rooms are very clean and comfortable and the restaurant serves a very nice breakfast buffet..We enjoyed our stay and will definetly go back....

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by RoaminCandle OK, I guess...
I stayed two nights in late January 2013. I found the room to be very noisy due to 1) proximity to US Rt 1 [avoid even # rooms] and 2) extremely loud heating unit.
I was "upgraded" to the priority club (6th floor) but there were no additional amenities that I could detect. Totally weird card on the desk promoting alcohol consumption at the lobby bar (see photo).
Bed was comfortable and bath was nicely appointed (towels, shampoo etc.). I didn't turn on the TV.
Wifi was free but extraordinarily slow (2 Mb/s at best) to the point that it was unusable.
Restauraunt service was spotty, slow and food itself uninspired. On the positive side, the international theme of the restaurant included an Iranian flag hanging from the ceiling which greatly pleased one of my travel companions who is originally from Iran.
