Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not Happy Beds very hard, cleaning room service bad, sheets need some Downey, felt like a hospital. pool freezing, hot tub didn't work, gym equipment not maintained, not all rooms have a mini fridge/safe. ( What a combo) Added more fee's to the bill for a resort fee? With nothing working other then the shuttle, I find that laughable. April 15, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great service front desk service for personal to front desk excellent room confortable and transportation to disneyland parks excelent April 9, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay - but starchy sheets great place to stay, food is great, close to downtown disney and the parks. Have to pay the extra fee for being there. Parking is a bit of a hassle as only 1 parking lot for 3 different hotels. Sheets were very starchy, hard ot get comfortable. Having kids that toss and turn at night, made for loud nights because of the sheets. Rooms very clean though. April 8, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Vacation Stay The hotel location is very nice, and close to various restaurants and Disneyland. We were disappointed upon our arrival when they had given our suite away. We were told that we had not reserved a suite, upon which time I had to show my confirmation of the room on my phone. John, who was helping us with check-in was very helpful and courteous, but was unable to do anything but give us free valet. It was disappointing, because we needed a larger room because we had the kids staying with us. They ended up giving us a smaller room. We even requested to have two rooms, but due to the hotel being "booked' we were unable to get a second room. I do not know how they could have give our "reserved suite" away. We were very uncomfortable for our entire stay due to having this smaller room, and it made for a disappointing vacation. The staff was very helpful and kind, but the fact they were unable to give us the room we reserved was very, very disappointing. As a result we will never stay at this Crowne Plaza. April 6, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic stay! My family recently spent 4 nights at the Crowne Plaza Anaheim, and I can't say enough great things about it! Everything was perfect from check-in, to the room, the food, the service, everything. Our stay was so comfortable and everything was extremely convenient! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Anaheim. April 6, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Spring Break 2013 During Spring Break (2013) my family and I came to CA to visit Disneyland for a few days. We selected this hotel based on proximity to the theme park, value, and the fact that the rooms had the option of getting bunk beds. My wife and I found staying at this hotel to be very convenient (shuttle to the theme park) and felt that there was great value for our money (we were given a $50 gift card to Disney for each night's stay). Our kids loved those bunk beds. This was not the most expensive hotel we stayed at on our trip but it is the hotel that our kids keep raving about. We would definitely stay here again and will definitely recommend it to both family and friends. April 5, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disneyland Trip All in all the our stay was a good one. Need more or bigger shuttle. Either was too full to take us at park closing or opening or way over capacitiy. Cafe was awful.. very slow service when only 3 tables had dinners. Food took 40 minutes to come out and was cold. Then another 30 minutes to get a check??? April 1, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by poor customer service at the front desk I spoke with two different female front desk people and found them to be very poor at customer service so much that I had to ask to speak with the manager. (not something I do normally) The manager was very polite and helpful. Plus the water was off for several hours on one day, unacceptable! March 29, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful stay, beautiful hotel I have stayed at the Crowne Plaza Garden Grove many time. I love this property. It is beautiful, well kept up and the pool area is wonderfully tropic! I was pleased to see that they had reinstated a few perks for their Priority Club members, as customer loyalty can be bought! The resort fee covers their own bus, which is a great deal for a family...and you don't have to use the ART (Anaheim Resort Transit) which has been a nightmare everytime I have used it. So, for that reason...the resort fee is great. It is a little steep if you are travelling alone. March 19, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Service The room was comfortable, the staff was very friendly and courteous. The fitness center equipment was current, clean, and in very good condition. The property was well-maintained and was nice looking. Really, the only complaint I have is with the internet access. If you need a good internet connection, you should plan to bring one with you or find a local hotspot. The staff said that they're aware of the issue, and are working on it, but if you need a good internet connection to get work done, I'd recommend calling the property to see if they've gotten the issue resolved. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Super Attentive Staff & Very Clean Place! My husband is a Platinum Elite Priority Member & this was our 2nd stay @ The Crowne Plaza as a family and everything was awesome! Everyone from check in, cleaning staff, valet & people in the restaurant were very friendly & helpful! Our purpose was to be as close as possible to DLR for Annual Passholder Early Entry weekend even though we live about 20 minutes from the parks! Family is to hard to get going so early so this is the next best place to be! We even had time for breakfast by 10am and took a break between time back into the parks! No drama or hassles! I don't know how long this staff has been around but I use to hold scrapbook functions in their smaller rooms & the service back then was just as great as it is today! We hope this great service continues! Thank you Crowne Plaza!! I will highly recommend to all who asked! We shall soon return! February 21, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good proximity to D-Land Comfortable accommodations, good food, excellent lounge staff (especially the always friendly bar manager, Roger) February 20, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Inflexible When I checked in I asked to reduce my 4 day stay to 3 but the Penny night manager could not autorize this and I had to talk to Brenda the day manager. I had to work the trade show and be there LONG before Brenda arrive for work. Penny said no when I saw her. In my room, the TV didn't work so they sent engineering and they couldn't work it either. They said they would get me a new TV and I said you can wait until tomorrow. No TV the next day and I wanted to watch my college b ball game. No chance. They hussle a TV up to me by half time which was very nice. I go to check out early and the regular attendent gave me credit for only staying a half day. I would have checked out a full day if I was permitted by the manager. I hope this doesn't get the person who did what was fair in trouble. I was moving to another Crowne Plaze by the airport because the flight was 7am and LA traffic is tough in the morning. The rest of the staff in the dining room was very nice. February 19, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible Hotel, find another place to stay. The room was terrible. There was a knob missing off of the bed side table, the television did work, all the furniture was old and chip and the carpet look dirty. I was told this was one of the newly refurbished rooms. This is hard to believe. The television didn't work. It was so bad the hotel did charge me the resort fee The food was horrible also for both room service and in the restaurant. I ordered a hamburger one night thinking they couldn't possible mess up a hamburger and yes they did. It was an old, dried patty with no seasoning. The only positive was the staff that was all very friendly and tried to make things better. I feel sorry for them working in such a substandard Crowne plaza. February 6, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Never Disappointed! Except for one time (in almost 3years) I stay faithful to the Crowne Plaza, Anaheim-Garden Grove. The staff is amazing and accommodating and no matter where I am on the property, there is a "hello" and a smile! January 24, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel, internet issues I have stayed at this hotel approx 5 times and find it suits our needs as far as comfort and cleanliness. There are several good restaurants right in the parking lot. We have eaten dinner in the hotel on every one of our stays and the food has always been good. The restaurant has never been overcrowded either. We were in the area for a business trip and the location was just a short distance from the Anaheim Convention Center. There is a huge Target across the street should you find the need. My only complaint was that the wireless internet was horrible. Since we were out all day on business, I chose not to call and complain and just muddled through finishing up my evening work......very slowly. I did mention it to the front desk upon check out, but was not compensated in anyway. I did not have the need for valet parking or the pool so I can't comment on those items. January 20, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by a little disappointed I am a long time Crown Plaza fan and assumed this one would hold to the high standard that I have grown to expect with this chain but I was left very disappointed with this particular hotel. Room was subpar, leaking shower (water dripped and ran 24/7), housekeeping was sporadic at best. Every day the cleaning was different. Sometimes we got clean robes, other days no robes at all and the same with complimentary water and refills of Voss water. January 15, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Staff is incompetent Staff could not help me solve simple issues regarding billing. Even managers are incompetent, next time we will stay elsewhere. January 5, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Another great trip! The staff is your greatest treasure, courteous and professonal. They remember me by name and always offer a smile and a kind word. Especially valet Josh! I love the new linens. Amenities are inconsistent... December 15, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Crown Dump We checked into our hotel - and found that the "Executive Suite" we'd booked on the "Executive floor" was nothing more than a typical hotel room. Which was fine, since the price at the time seemed reasonable. However, when we looked a bit closer, we discovered that they hadn't cleaned our tub (it had dirt and red gross things on the bottom), and their were stains and streaks on the bedroom ceiling. We called the front desk twice, and went down there once and asked them to clean it. Each time they apologized profusely , and promised to fix it, however, they never came to clean it. Costs: There was an exhorbitant resort charge, which would have been fine, except that they weren't a resort - but rather a typical large hotel charging an overly exhorbitant resort fee for having the "luxury" of a pool and workout room. Don't all Cronwe Plazas have these? They also had an added fee for tourism that they called a tax, and a fee for parking, and I think an energy fee. By the time everything was said and done, the cost of the room had increased about a third from where we'd started - for a dirty dirty room no less. Oh, and did I mention the television didn't work. I would strongly suggest any other hotel - except this one. December 14, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good and Restful Stay My stay at this Crowne Plaza was excellent. After a couple of long days at the theme parks it was nice to come back to a comfortable bed and relaxing atmosphere. November 25, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by POOL WE HAD A GREEAT TIME AT YOUR HOTEL ,THE STAFF WAS KIND BUT THE POOL WAS DIRTY,ALTOUGH WE ASKED TO THE PERSON AT THE FRONTDESK TO SEND A PERSON TO CLEAN IT,IT CONTINOUSE DIRTY. November 9, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable Great service, very nice experience, all the amenities very nice staff. Made a working weekend quite tolerable. November 2, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Overall a nice place to stay The shuttle hours to Disney are very convenient and helpful. Had a little glitch the first night and found someone's hair in the sheets when we turned the bed down to go to sleep. Had to wait half an hour for staff to bring fresh sheets and remade the bed ourselves. Rest of the week long stay was uneventful. Room was kept clean and the linen apparently got changed everyday even with the "save the linens" card posted on the door. Guess they were erring on the side of caution. It was funny having to request more than one coffee setup for the in room coffee and the mini fridge was very helpful. The only other comical thing was the major differences my friends and I had with the "perks" given to us when we joined the preferred member club. One of us got two bottles of water, another got drink cards for the bar and water, while another got complimentary breakfast cards and drinks, as well as water and some chocolates. Maybe someone needs to review that? We probably aren't the only ones who noticed disparities. October 30, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exceptional Service and Comfort Having stayed at the Crowne Plaza several times, I am always impressed with the exceptional service and the comfortable accommodations that provide the weary traveler a "home away from home." The breakfast buffet is always a convenient and tasty option for those wanting variety. October 25, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fabulous Stay! We used a groupon that included a night's stay in an executive room and breakfast the next morning. We booked this hotel because we were going to Disneyland. The California Grill was phenomenal as a restaurant. I had the club sandwich (the fries are amazing) and my sister had steak fajitas (also great). The resort fee included use of the shuttle, so for the two of us it was $14 which is way less than what we would have spent on cab fares! The buffet breakfast included an omelet and waffle station which was very yummy, and fresh. We had a fabulous stay! The only downside was their valet parking attendant was very rude and not helpful to us when we checked in. October 25, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great overall after first impression My only unpleasant experience was checking in, going to room to find all the lights on and the tv blaring full blast I thought someone was already in the room I went back down and asked for another room To find it too had all the lights on and tv blaring Not a great impresssion Several others also commented that this was strange and unsettling I have never had a hotel do this before Turn on a few lights but all of them? It took me a awhile to relax from that experience Loved the gym!!!! My phone did not work and I got a quick response October 25, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Breakfast Buffet Although I had made reservations a month in advance, when we arrived the clerk said he would see if there was a room available. We were suppose to be on the executive level but there were no rooms available so we had to be moved down a few floors. The hotel is worn although it was clean. The breakfast that came with the price of the room was very good and made to order. Our room was very hot and the thermostat was broken. The TV sound would not come on in the morning unless we unplugged the cable. Overall it was a fair experience. October 24, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service I really appreciated the Front Desk Staff who were always professional and helpful. Ronseneo at the Bell Desk was amazing! The beds were comfortable and the hot tub was a welcome relief. The only problem was the shuttle to Disneyland. As it serves several hotels and has no designated pickup point, it was dangerous getting picked up from the park and often a very long wait. We took a taxi after the first day. October 21, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing full-service hotel! We stayed here for 4 nights for a Disneyland trip. We arrived 3 hours before check-in time and were welcomed with a smile by front desk staff and they let us know our room was being serviced for check-in. We stored our luggage with the very kind Concierge desk and went to take the shuttle to Disneyland for the afternoon (which comes every 30 minutes like clockwork), As a Platinum Priority Club Member, we checked in later that evening and were given a room upgrade to the Executive 9th floor along with a full-buffet breakfast voucher for 1 each morning of our stay, free drink voucher, and complimentary valet parking pass. The king bed in our room was extremely comfortable and was a welcome sight after spending all day at Disney Parks. Our room had a fridge and the housekeeping staff left us complimentary bottled water on our second day there. Very clean hotel with a terrific pool and Jacuzzi area as well. The buffet breakfast was amazing with made-to-order omelettes and many other fresh foods to choose from. The resort fee is well worth it and the shuttle to Disney is on time, well run by a third-party contracted vendor which we enjoyed very much. There is a Target store right across the street which where we purchased snacks for our stay. Thanks Crowne Plaza staff for the amazing and memorable experience. We will be back again!
