I got the same service a usually get at a two star hotel. When I got there the room was not wat I expected, they advertised a dog bed fr the room, never got it, the phone wasn't working we have to go downstairs to the front desk several times to fix the problem, the bed sheets were dirty, and the baby crib wasn't ready either all this without the phone to make the complaints. When aware of the situation the staff never apologized to us or offer any special discount or anything to better our staying, and last but not least we receive a pn extra charge in our credit card which now I have to dispute with my bank! I will never stay there again there rates should be much much lower per night.

My room was nice and I have no complaints with the front desk.
The service in the restaurant was slow and the food was not good. I ordered a steak and it was over cooked and warm. It was like they cooked the steak and put it aside while they made my dinner guests meal. Overall both meals were poor quality.
There were two fellows serving in the restaurant and we discovered that they also ran the bar just outside of the restaurant. It wasn't busy, but they seemed stressed and overworked.
I will stay here again, but will go out to eat.

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza due to convenience as our conference was held in the hotel. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay.
I liked:
1. size and look of the room as well as the view overlooking the
river...very nice.
2. My room had a small refrigerator and a microwave as well as a
coffee machine.
I didn't like:
A. Blanket was a little rough. It felt like overstarched cotton.
B. Adjusted the thermostat but didn't notice any change.
C. There were no cutlery nor cups.
D. Booked "Early and Save" but found out that it was locked.
Subsequent visit back to the website had the same room
cheaper. I could not change reservation without penalty!
E. Could not get out of garage. Needed new ticket from front desk

I do not know what this hotel was like before coming a Crowne Plaza this month, but there are still a few kinks to be worked out.
The staff is pleasant and helpful, but seem inexperienced. For instance, the parking pass failed to be authenticated not once but twice, so that I had to pay on the way out. The second time, I was directed to the parking office which is separate from the hotel and could do nothing for me. Reception then promised me a credit, which did not appear on my bill. Ultimately, I was credited for three days, a nice touch but the effort it required was excessive. Another example: I was shown the business centre one night, including a very good laser printer. When I went to use it the next night, the printer was off and once I asked at the front desk, I learned it had not been connected. The front desk very kindly printed all my documents themselves on their inkjet, but it would have been nicer to know ahead of time or at least to find a sign on the machine.
The restaurant services are not up to the standard one would expect from a Crowne Plaza. The chef appears to be trying his best, but menu items are unremarkable and the buffet fare is often poor: for instance, the buns and croissants are hard and do not taste very good, the coffee is bad, the cherry tomatoes for salad were going bad.
The location for those with work in downtown Hull is excellent and the price was good, but I am not sure whether I would return.

This hotel has been really nicely updated and an excellent value for the money. The rooms are really big and look completely new. its got everything I was looking for when hosting my meeting plus my guest also had the same feed back they loved the hotel....I'll be back for-sure WHAT A GREAT FIND IN OTTAWA!!! A TRUE MUST SEE!!

We spent three evenings during the conversion to a Crowne Plaza in early October. The location was perfect for Ottawa attractions, for biking on the river trails, local casino, etc. And again, in the restaurant, order the smoked salmon appetizer.
