Friendly and accommodating staff

Staff was great and helpful with any of our needs. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Can be a long walk to some of the rooms. Recommend giving this hotel a try!

Disappointing stay. Hotel was overrun with teenage hockey players. Staff was unable or uninterested in enforcing any order or rules. The public areas were a cross between Chuck E Cheese and a locker room. Not what I expect when staying at a Crowne Plaza.

the room was in great shape the bed was awesome the only complaint I have was we were looking forward to watching the red wings and you don't have the Detroit fox sports channel

Tiny quibbles with a pretty good stay

There is much to like at the Crowne Plaza in Grand Rapids: the location is good; the room is quite comfortable, and the climate control within the room is extremely responsive; the restaurant and bar staff are friendly, as are all the hotel staff, and they do mix a good drink; the facility as a whole is attractive and well maintained.

However, just a few quibbles: on both recent stays, my room card stopped working the night before I was to check out, and had to be replaced--this happened to my colleague as well; on both recent stays I asked to have my bill emailed to me instead of slipped under my door--in one case I had to call a few days later to repeat the request, and in the other case, I got the bill as of that moment, before the final night had been charged; with the exception of the crab and artichoke soup, the restaurant isn't very exciting, although none of the food is bad; I don't quite understand this widespread practice of placing huge windows between the exercise room and the corridor, as if it's important to have an audience as one is working out.

These are minor quibbles, as I say, and I do recommend this facility. I will be staying there again.
