Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, confortable, adequate. Clean hotel. Quiet room - I stayed on the 5th floor. Front desk staff didn't fulfill my last request - which was that my receipt be emailed to me. Breakfast in the lobby is NOT complimentary. Very disappointing since I am a rewards member and most other hotels offer this service free of charge. Everything else met expectations. When I checked in, the alarm clock in the room next door was continually going off. The front desk responded within several minutes. August 22, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great Lobby - Rooms Beginning to Need Updating It has been quite a while since I checked into a hotel room that had a bottle of water on the desk with a tag that said that if the bottle of water was consumed, a $4.00 charge would be added to my bill. I thought those went away last century! And besides there was a vending machine two doors down where you could get a bottle of water for $1.00 (albeit small). The view from my 4th floor window overlooked the huge flat roof of whatever was underneath (probably Ruth's Chris). Unfortunately the rooms were not nearly as nice as the lobby. I did not get a good feeling when I went out the back exit & several unsavory characters wanted to get in (they did not have a key for the door). Two of the four were definitely "on the game" and not very high class at that! I would not return, primarily because of the somewhat seedy area behind the hotel. I can;t complain about anything else really because I had a special rate & I guess you get what you pay for. Not up to the standard of the Crowne Plaza in downtown Charlotte which is the only other in this chain that I have stayed in. August 21, 2014

We were taking our child to college for the lst time and not sure how far we would get before stopping for the night. this is a wonderful property: easy access off the highway, great staff, who are accommodating, friendly and helpful. We stayed here on the return trip as well, and will definitely make this the "regular" half way stop for future trips. August 17, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Crown Plaza Hotel experience in Greenville SC Stayed at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Greenville SC for a Conference. Excellent value overall. Comfortable beds and large rooms. A well maintained property and would recommend to family and friends without hesitation. My only complaint is being initially charged for a full breakfast vs continental breakfast pricing and that the fruit bowl was not replenished although I brought this to the attention of the staff. . They were professional, friendly, and most accommodating for all of the tennis players during our recent stay for the USTA State tennis tournament. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Quiet, very restful My stay at the Crowne Plaza in Greenville SC was just what I needed after participating in the Greenville Highland Games. I had spent all day on my feet and I needed a comfortable bed, and a quiet place to be. I was really astonished that there were no doors slamming, no children calling in the halls, no noise that I could discern at all. My only concern was a pillow that was too fluffy. I ended up sleeping without one. I can imagine how spoiled that sounds but I have arthritis and it is sometimes better to sleep in the one position that does not hurt than sleep in a position that will make me stiff and unable to move well the next day. I did enjoy my stay. Most of the time the only purpose of a hotel is for sleep when we are working these Games: and the highest compliment I can pay one is that I slept like i was at home. In the last several visits, both elevator doors make a most horrible noise when opening/closing. While the elevators appear perfectly safe and functional, the horrible noise made by the doors on both elevators is very disconcerting to your guests. June 2, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bad experience *Bed was very uncomfortable. *Closet setup was odd and cumbersome. *Room was very small making moving around in it difficult. *Although we made our reservation over a month prior to our stay indicating 4 adults would be in the room, the hotel only originally provided 3 towels, and one set of toiletries. *The sleeper sofa was TINY - not full size *Elevators are rickety! *When you check out, you will pay $55.00 extra "just in case you incurred extra charges" May 26, 2014
