King Room with sofa bed.

We are disappointed with our stay, especially being a Crowne Plaze. We expected so much more. I received some paperwork referring to completed 5 million dollar improvements in January. The staff was fairly friendly..however the room was not acceptable. We had the unfortunate view of looking out our room to the roof of part of the building and the air conditioning units. That was all we could scenery, landscaping etc. The bathroom was not vented so when we showered, it took quite a while for the mirror to clear from the steam. As well, because of no exhaust fan, condensation pooled on the ceiling and would then drop on us after our showers for a few hours. The housekeeping staff could not answer when the in-room coffee maker was cleaned last or if ever. We also asked them for extra towels, so after awhile we got some, (the carts and housekeeping I spoke with was 2 rooms down. Then the next day we had to get them again. When we wanted coffee when we woke, couldn't make it and unlike almost all other mid to upper class hotels, they didn't even have any in the lobby. As well, there were no nearby restaurants, so we had to resort to in hotel dining..which I found extremely expensive. The only dinner option was Ruth's Chris Steaks. These were so very expensive we couldn't afford it. We had limited transportation and was nowhere to walk. We had no options. The elevator needed to be cleaned up and there were several areas on the walls that needed to be repainted or recovered. Also the painting in the bath was terrible. Our bed was very firm, and its ok if you prefer that but we don't. The TV didn't have a guide on it so we could only keep changing channels, which had a delay on each change. The refrigerator was running and it was hot, inside and out. I know we won't be staying at the Greenville, SC and doubt we will stay at one elsewhere. There are plenty of other hotels we could stay at. This was our first experience with an IHG hotel.

Also, check out was at Noon. We were automatically checked out sometime during the night early morning, so when we went to use the laptop we had no internet access. And the business center is in a huge open room with no privacy at all ,,,ie: banking information I want to look at, private accounts or web pages.

Wonderful experience

I had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel for 4 nights. The bed was very comfortable, and I really enjoyed the aromatherapy spray and creams that were offered. The hotel staff was very attentive and polite. This hotel hosted the Reception of Clans with catering by Ruth's Chris Steakhouse - the meal was delicious and served at the proper temperature, the catering staff was wonderful. I would recommend this hotel.

Stayed at other hotels in Greenville and this was the best Hotel in the Area. Great lobby and the rooms were clean and very comfortable.
