Crowne Plaza is living up to its IHG superb brand name with excellent service and comfortable room setting. During check-in, I found out that I have been mistakenly booked my room to be one day late than my expected stay time, but the hotel front desk staff was so generous to help me resolve the situation. Although the hotel was fully booked at the beginning, he tried his best to squeeze a room for me even before I resolved the problem with my travel agent. Great Job!

Both times I took 5000 point packages but pity both times,the points have not been credited to me.
On 16th June,when I checked in I did tell yr check in staff to please advise when you have told PRIORITY CLUB about my stay in MAY,,13 so they must credit me the points
Looks she did not take care at all.

this hotel is really to big , to many lifts and if you have to go to top floors you have to change lift , no feeling that you are staying in a hotel more like in a shopping center,rooms are quiet ,looks a little used ,but ok , for me it is to big and so i will not go there again

the waitresses and waiters running around like confused chicken,
most of them don't know, how to serve customer, servants are very busy to take away your plate, even don't ask. the cooker are not able to make eggs by requested style, and what was finally delivered was not in shape for a Hotel, which like to play in this class. Here is a lot to improve.
As a long years member of Priority club, I must tell you, also for pricing and upgrade I expect much better treatment as it was given to me..

I had one small problem, that once it was bought to the attention of the Hotel was dealt with quickly and in the most considerate of ways.
The staff were fantastic. Extremely friendly and helpful all the time, and anything I required was dealt with immediately. The staff in the dining room were helpful and their English was very good. They understood me and I understood them easily. The women who cleaned the room were also helpful and kind.
I would recommend this Hotel to anyone planning a stay in Guangzhou.

Always my first choice in Guangzhou. Definitely will be back soon. Clean ang comfortabe room. Breakfast is very good with a lot of choice. Very professional staff.

every thing was exellent ratherfor when i reserved i rserved 2 rooms with my name and i payed for it with my credit card but 'when i went thier they conseder the points only for one room not the other and i stayed there for an 11 days but they told me if you aren't staying in the other room we cant give you the points for it . If you didnt give me the points for the other room i will never conseder any of your priority group to stay in

THIS HOTEL DID NOT REACH MY EXPECTATIONS., NO ONE WAS AT THE DOOR TO RECEIVE MY LUGGAGE, I CARRIED UP TO THE DOOR......THEN, AT MY FIRST ARRIVAL, THE ROOM WAS NOT READY (I HAD BEEN TRAVELING FOR 36 HOURS TO REACH THIS PROPERTY).....THE INTERNET WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY, VERY SLOW, CONECTION PROBLEMS. THE SECOND TIME, IT WORKED BETTER ( I STAYED TWO TIMES THE SAME WEEK). THE MASSAGE AT THE HOTEL DOES NOT ACCEPT YOUR CREDIT, SO IT LOOKS IT DOES NOT BELONG TO HOTEL, THEY CLAIM ITS ON THE FIFT FLOOR, BUT YOU HAVE TO WALK TO SOME HALLS CURRENTLY BEING REMODELED, TO REACH ANOTHER BUILDING AND FIND THE INDEPENDENT MASSAGE PLACE., THE CHAIR TOWEL WAS PREVIOUSLY USED..THE ROOM WAS DIRTY., THE CARPET UGLY, I ASKED TO CHANGE AND THEY PROVIDED ANOTHER ROOM.,I ONLY TOOK A FOOT MASSAGE., I WOULD NEVER GET A BODY MASSAGE AT THIS PLACE......COMPARE TO OTHER 5 STARS, THIS WAS REALLY DISSAPOINTED...., NOT WORTH TO GO BACK, THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH, SO YOU CAN NOT CHARGE IT TO THE ROOM. NEXT TIME, I WILL FIND A 5 STAR HOTEL OF CHINESSE BRAND, MASSAGE IN CHINA IS A TRADITION, AND TO TAKE A TAXI TO GO TO ANOTHER HOTEL TO GET A MASSAGE IS NOT THE IDEAL THING TO DO.......THE LOBBY OPTIONS OF FOOD ARE VERY LIMITED., THE BREAKFAST IS GOOD BUY VERY EXPENSIVE.

The Crowne Plaza is consistently superb especially in terms of room comfort and service. It is always a pleasure to return to this conveniently located property replete with all amenities including a golf umbrella, most necessary during monsoon season.

First, let me point out that this hotel is visually stunning -- the lobby is well designed and we had great views from our rooms on the 47th floor. The in-room dining was great (try the Club Sandwich, you won't be sorry) and the front desk service at check-in and during the day was fine.
The main problem with this property was the 75 minutes I spent trying to get an extra blanket -- at least 35 of which was trying to explain to the Concierge and housekeeping staff what a blanket was! We eventually solved the problem by getting the Concierge's mobile number and TEXTING HIM A PICTURE OF A BLANKET. Then, once we were able to get across what we wanted we had to deal with someone in housekeeping who refused to give us an extra blanket. The whole thing was ridiculous and I suspect the only reason they eventually brought us a blanket was because we threatened to check out.
Having said that, the morning shift when we checked out was efficient, the staff were fluent in English and French and were the complete polar opposite of the hostile reception we received for simply asking for an extra blanket. I'm a loyal ICH Priority Club and Ambassador member and I'm not entirely sure I would go back to this property -- it was that annoying.

The location of the hotel is good, near the shopping mall and metro.
There's a shuttle bus that will bring you from the airport to the hotel at RMB 18 and it stops outside the hotel.
They have friendly staffs. Fast check ins and check out.
The room and toilet are big and clean. The bed is comfortable and clean. Always had a good night sleep.
The only problem is the items in the mini bar in the room are all expired (mixed nuts, pops, beers, water) even the free coffee and teas are also expired. I called the front desk right away to tell them of the expired items and ask them to replace it the next day but unfortunately they didn't do it in my entire 4 days stay there.
The Executive Lounge serve good snacks every afternoon but sad to say their pops are also expired.
They have a very good selection of food in their buffet breakfast

Excellent property. Staff was amazing and catered to your every need. Special thanks to David, Blair, Jenny, Michelle and the desk staff of this hotel. Room and bed comfort was fantastic and the morning buffet was something I couldn't wait for each day. A delicious fare of Western and Asian cuisine. Downtown location was very convenient to a flurry of great restaurants and shopping. Would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

I paid an additional RMB 300.00 for 2 nights on the advise and expectation that I could have breakfast in the Club Lounge
But on the 2 mornings only coffee and cookies available
Hence my RM 600.0 was wasted as I am not a drinker so never tested whether there actually was an evening "Happy Hour"!
Appreciated more accurate information next time
Otherwise the stay was very good
