I paid an additional RMB 300.00 for 2 nights on the advise and expectation that I could have breakfast in the Club Lounge
But on the 2 mornings only coffee and cookies available
Hence my RM 600.0 was wasted as I am not a drinker so never tested whether there actually was an evening "Happy Hour"!
Appreciated more accurate information next time
Otherwise the stay was very good

1 King bed room is already big enough,especially,the big size bathtub can contain two adult,so romantic. The bed is comfortable,and big screen TV can 360 degree circumvolve,everything is designed for the excellent living experience.
outdoor pool opens till 10:00PM,you can swim and enjoy the fresh air.
The hotel located near subway station,every convenient.
weakness:the restaurant is not so good,not recommend.

We stayed in the hotel during spring Festival so it's not too busy. Enjoyed breakfast when there was not too many people. I was very impressed of the excellent service provided by those interns in the canteen, they are warm and hospitable. Also it's nice to leave soup in the room for Platinum guest.
One bar attendant (Penny might be his name) was very professional and did an absolutely wonderful job. A female staff there (Jane) was great too. The club lounge was great with nice view of the mountain and lake and staff there nice and helpful.
It was a bit distressful when temperature suddenly dorpped outside but the heating supply in the room was cut off without previous notice. And it took quite a while to get it back. Everything else was quite OK.

Crowne Plaza Guangzhou city Center rocks ! (very good) .
From Reception on checkin to Conceige helping with train tickets, to the very well equipped fitness center everything was World Class. The breakfast buffet was magnificent.
Great value .. especially with free broadband . try to get ahigher room for top of the world views !

Manager is very good responsive helpfull ,overall all staff are very helpful and attend to your needs ,
This was my second visit and have stayed in couple of same group hotels and everywhere service is the same ,would always like to stay with crown plaza always

Overall a5 star hotel with potential..but (read on):
Pro(s) great bed to sleep in (not to mention, excellent pillow). Good location too. Good live music in the evening. Rooms are cleaned very well.
Con(s): Front desk staff are quite snobbish and may be rude. When we checked in, they couldn't verify our Platinum status for some reason. The assistant manager gave me his card and ask me to contact priority club (which I did) and I forward him a copy of the email the next day confirming our Platinum membership. He didn't reply. I went to inform other managers -they weren't bothered. Therefore, we were denied our privileges as a platinum member and had to pay extra for breakfast and other services that we normally get for free!
Bad concierge service: we asked for hiring private cars with drivers - they recommended us their 'private contacts' and thought that we are 'foreigners' and therefore can skimmed us. Unfortunately we know China well and have done business in China for several years, just that our driver was not available for a few days. Cut the story short, the concierge service and people are not to be trusted. In addition to that, one particular night, one of the senior employees at the hotel was at the lobby bar with some friends. They had an argument and he threw the glass wine on the floor! The employees (junior) were so afraid and had to do all the cleaning up.
The gym is lousy too (when compared to most of the 5 star hotels that I've stayed and the other crown plaza hotels that I've used before). The equipment are worn out, the room is dark, water supply is limited ( should have mineral water bottles - no plastic cups!), the audio and music system in the gym room is broken!
All in all, it is pointless to have first class infrastructure with 3 world mentality people running it,

Firstly i would say like to say thank you to all the guest and staff at the Crowne Plaza Hotel ( Guangzhou) for there hospitality and warm wlecome. However, I did feel improvements or allowances could have been made :
1. Upon check in on Tuesday 18th, I had to wait 2 hours before I could have access to my room, I was told at the time that the room was not ready, this despite being a Priority Gold Member. Im sorry, but after a 12 hour flight i deemed this to be acceptable.
2. Also disappointed with the rate I was charged per night ( 4 night stay) as after 2 nights i realised the room rate for the same room type had been reduced significantly, but this reduction was not offered to me.
3. Disppointed with the fact that the towels which were issued, were not to the desired quality level for a 5* hotel and on 2 occassions i found that the towels such poor quality that they had holes in them.
4. As I was working from my room, I made a request that the room wasnt gettting to temperature and maybe this was down to the fact that the air conditioning unit was not operating effectively. So, rather than send someone to establish the root casue and fix the air conditioning unit or, send a stand alone unit which would assist in rasing the temperature of the room, i was issued with an additional duvet !
So overall I was dispappointed with my stay and felt i did not get my moneys worth.
Please note, I travel on Buisness to China approx 5 times a year and my hotel of choice is the Crowne Plaza, however, after this expereince I may have to reconsider.

This is a really exceptional hotel. Perfect service - even when you're in need of a VGA cable at 10pm at night. The quality of the bed has to be stressed. I slept like a baby...
I will recommend this hotel to everyone who's going to stay in Guangzhou!

This was the third time this year I lodged at this hotel, but the first time that I enjoyed the benefits of a Platinum member since gaining the status months ago.
Though staying short, I was impressed by the upgrade to a large room at a higher floor that gave me much comfort and relaxation of enjoying some unseen views of the surroundings.
I will definitely go again when I am working around that area.

We stayed here for the 3rd Phase of the Canton Fair.
To wrap it up quickly, everything about this hotel is perfect.
We stayed in the Club Room. This is what a Club Room is suppose to be like. Food, drink and the amazing staff that work there.
Rooms was beautiful and roomy and will be staying here from now on.

If you stay at this hotel make sure you meet the 3 Musketeers (David, Jenny @ Blair) these guys are Canadians and they are fantastic at what they do.
There professionalism is impeccable, there mannerism and there willingness to help at any occasion made our stay extremely pleasurable.
If you ever stay at this hotel, do yourself a favour and meet these guys, or if you have any problem whatsoever they will fix it for you extremely fast, with a smile.
Just having a chat with them was a pleasure, we were made to feel like friends rather than customers.
To the management: If I was you I would sign these guys for a long time and promote them before some other hotel poachers them… they are that good.
PS: The front desk management (not the front desk staff) need more training, as this area needs to be improved dramatically…
They have no idea on how to fix a problem and to make the customer feel good, in fact instead of fixing the problem they upset customers even further to the point of being extremely distressing.
There mannerism is all wrong, they come across as arrogant, the point is not whether they fix a problem or not but how they make the customer feel at the end of the outcome, whether being good or bad.
Blair or Jenny would do an excellent job in training front desk management, because at the moment they need it badly as they are letting everybody down.

My only frustration with staying at this hotel this time is that at the end of a busy day it is a plus to be able to enjoy a relaxing massage or spa treatment and most hotels of this calibre would offer such, however, whilst there is a good spa attached to the hotel it is run independently and they do not allow you to charge to your room, nor do they allow payment by credit card. To have large amounts of cash for spa treatment is inconvenient when travelling like this for business. I would recommend the hotel work together with the spa to allow charge of treatment to the guest's room bill or at the very least to be able to pay by credit card.

Warmhearted staffs with nice greeting. Make me feel like very welcomed.
Nice lobby ambient, nice spacious room and bed. I can have a good rest after hectic my day time activities in Guangzhou.
The warm Chinese soup in the flask is so nice. Really refreshing.
I would say, this is my best stay in Guangzhou.

every thing was good from the time we entered till the time we left.staff were helpful room clean,comfortable bed ,good location.the only problem i had was when checking out,my bill was more than what i had booked .i realised after i paid the bill by credit card.i asked to see the voucher that i presented to them when i checked in,and along side i was looking on my phone for the confirmation letter.then they said oh yes very sorry i then charged me again and said they have canceled my old bill,i have not recieved the bill from my credit card company as yet but i hope i am not doubled charged on this as it will take me time t claim back.hope you understand.about billing i had read the review before and saw that some had the problem.

My visit was during the peak season ~ Spring Canton Fair. Every staffs are under extreme stress and so am I. My room was still under cleaning when I checked in in the evening with tired body. Staff showed me to lobby cafe serving me a drink waiting about 15 minutes. Although it is quite annouying, but I can understand it may not under their control. Hope it won't happen to me in my next visit.
