Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable, clean hotel with great service I recently stayed here for the second time and it didn't disappoint. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced. I even had dinner one night - which I usually avoid. And the food was quite good - very pleased. Service was also very good. The day I left I took the GO Train into Toronto (which you can walk to in five minutes) and I didn't want to leave my valuables in my car all day. So I left my bags with the hotel for the day. When I returned to get my bags I offered a $5 tip for two bags and the gentleman kindly refused. He said he'd accept it if he had carried my bags to my room or car for me. But he said simply checking them in the next room was part of the job. He thanked me but basically said he was just doing his job and didn't deserve a tip. I was floored. Usually, I'm getting hit left and right for tips at hotels but this was a pleasant surprise - not only to save my $5 but to see the right kind of service attitude at a big chain hotel. Fitness room was small but never crowded. And the equipment was in good condition and allowed me to keep my workouts going while on the road. Also like the free WiFi - which most hotels overcharge for. I will definitely stay here again. August 20, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Problem was really well handled We had a good stay for two nights but had a problem with the air conditioner. Since the hotel was full, they offered one room to us however, we elected to stay in our room with the slight discomfort. The front desk staff was VERY helpful an adjustment was made to our costs and we were more than satisfied. As issues were settled a young lady Saturday night was very helpful (July 27) and a gentelman (Sam) on Sunday morning (July 28) completed the issue. Thank you for all your help. August 3, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, modern, and comfortable I really liked this hotel and plan to book this one when I return there for work. First and foremost, the beds are comfortable. The bedding is nice, soft and not that cheap rough sandpaper some hotels use for bedding. They provide lots of pillows (love) of different firmness (love). I was in a corner exec room on the sixth floor and loved it. Lots of space. Modern decor. Clean facilities. The room had great temperature controls. It was clean. Had a microwave and refrigerator in the room. Maid service was good though they threw away my newspapers I hadn't read one day. Front desk is friendly and has a small snack/convenience item shop. Parking is abundant and free. Free wifi was great and worked well. I used the dry cleaning service and it was reasonably priced and fast (same day). I like the location as it's right near the Whole Foods and many other convenient stores. The food at the breakfast was OK. I had the full breakfast pass but only used it for the continental since I have allergies and the foods look processed that were made for breakfast. Great selection of fruits, yogurts, breads, deserts, cereal and at least three warm items. I ordered from room service once and I have an allergy and it was a bit awkward. After telling him of my preservative allergy the guy on the phone made me jump through hoops to get him to let me order, even after he checked the ingredients of the pasta he tried to insist on using rice which was strange; claiming cross contamination with the pasta. Not sure how rice could not be cross contaminated but pasta could. Anyway I assured him that as long as the ingredients did not list my allergy then I could eat it and then he made all these statements about how it's at my own risk, no guarantees, etc. I get that but I have never had such a runaround when ordering at any restaurant. Anyway I had the pesto chicken and it was wonderful! lol The gym is tiny. The pool is in an awkward area so that you'd have to swim in front of everyone. Get a room facing outdoors, not into the hot lobby. The lobby is kind of warm upstairs and the rooms are like slider doors which I was not super comfortable with :) July 31, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Well appointed rooms & comfortable bed indeed. Enjoyed our 2 night-stay, took advantage of the indoor pool after a long drive from Quebec. We were in Oakville attending a wedding. All in all an excellent weekend with great weather to boot ! The location of this hotel could not be more suitable. Five minutes from church, 5 minutes to Oakville Golf Club and less than 5 minutes to reach the house where a Sunday Brunch was being held by the groom's parents. Also the lady taking care of our room was friendly and attentive. July 26, 2013

The fact that this location had a fitness room was a benefit to me. It was very nice having the small refrigerator in my room, in which I could keep my fruit and snacks, I really appreciated this. The mini fridge was noisy, the heater was noisy, the highway traffic was noisy and there was a loud hum in the hallway. I unplugged the empty fridge, turned off the heater and froze and put pillows over my head to try to block out the other noises. Even with that I got only 3 hours of sleep and had an 11 hour long meeting the next day. I was exhausted. I slept well the next night due to my extreme fatigue but still had to keep the heater off due to the loud bang it made everytime it kicked in. Also when I booked on line it included a full breakfast but I only received continental breakfast vouchers. I only realized after I had eaten. For that I got my snacks from the snack bar reimbursed. Too bad room service is only til 10:00 p.m. The staff was friendly. March 28, 2013

Very clean, easy to access from the QEW and GoTransit services and helpful/ friendly staff. The rooms are spacious and up to date with a modern style decor. When my husband went down to the front desk to notify them, we were immediately upgraded to a room on the 6th floor, with a balcony overlooking the pool area. The girl at the front desk told my husband that she was calling servicing right away to have the fan fixed in the first room. Our room on the 6th floor had a huge king bed that was very comfortable. The room was nice and we enjoyed our stay, The only drawback was that there was no free continental breakfast at this location. Other Holiday Inns that we've stayed at, have the continental breakfasts. February 24, 2013

As always the Breakfast Buffet was great; the plentiful selections serving all our needs and wants. As well, items off the menu were well served Hot and delicious. The Box Lunches which we requested and received prior to departing were delicious, serving us well as our lunch on the train back to Montreal. When I made the reservations I asked for an upgrade since I was bringing my wife on business this time. I am a priority gold member and upon check in I could not upgrade and I was stuck in a room with 2 double beds. Upon entering the non-smoking room it smelled of cigarettes. I asked twice if there was a room with a king size bed available and no was the answer, so my wife and I slept in separate beds. There also was no Microwave in our room, I had to call to get one delivered, and this I was told was based on availability. PLUS I asked for breakfast vouchers and I was told the GE rate did not get breakfast, however I had a copy of the Holiday Inn web page that said the corporate rate included breakfast. We did get the vouchers but something was wrong with the business agreements. If did not have a copy of the hotel reservation confirmation, I would of not had the breakfast vouchers. I had a fellow engineer stay in a room across the hall, he had no hot water in his shower, he had to contact the front desk twice before someone came to verify indeed he did not have any hot water, then his room was moved. We were so disappointed that my wife and I checked out early were billed for the nights stay and we drove home in the evening. My next business trip to Toronto I will not stay here for sure. I'll find a competitor close to my business needs and stay there. I can not recommend this hotel at all. HOWEVER the staff was very nice and cordial. Nothing against them at all.
