front desk staff at check in were very nice, one was receiving training the other was very attentive. room was great although shower doors need updating. the only thing that was wrong was that my wife and I both had the breakfast omelets and both of us had stomach issues later that morning. Are they connected, I don't know, but maybe the eggs needed to be kept colder instead of in a dispenser that was on the table. cook should have spoons in the omelet additions and not use a gloved hand to get items out of bowl and into pan.

Great Stay for Pricing

The location and view of this hotel make it a wonderful and relaxing place to stay anytime of year and we have stayed here on several occasions. Lobby is clean and impressive with a lounge and restaurants connected. Parking is free, but access elevator is poorly maintained and often very dirty. The hotel facility over all is in good shape and clean, but there are small things here and there that could use updating. I have only ever stayed in the Marina Facing King Bed Room, but they have always been very comfortable, clean and in working order. The gym is small but has all the basic machines and use high quality brands like "pre-cor" and is clean and well designed. The cleaning/maintenance staff really to need work on their consistency of service and scheduling. Front staff is very friendly, but their billing system is a mess and it never seems to work seamlessly at check-in. Brunch is O.K. but not great, and service staff definitely need work. All in all this hotel is a bargain, but is just short of their potential in respect to quality of service and facility which keeps it from being great.

A Lovely Hotel Past Its Prime

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times over the last 15 years and have watched it erode from a first to a third rate hotel during this time. Where once it was lovely and clean, it is now very tired and worn, despite some great efforts by a number of staff members. The rooms are worn and maintenance is sub-standard. The tables in the restaurant are not clean and the menus indicate items that are no longer there. It is sad. Crowne Plaza needs to step up and either fix or sell the place. It simply is no longer capable of living up to the Crowne Plaza name without a very substantial inject of money and talent to turn it around. You would think with the Navy and Air Force presence nearby that a strong case could be made for renovating the place. The poor maintenance left my 9th floor room with a door that would barely close, pipes that rattled throughout the night, and carpets and bathrooms that were too worn to repair. Nice location but getting a bit "iffy". Wouldn't want to stay there again despite the lovely views of the harbor.
