The room service lunch spent a lot of time then send to room but so disappointed, the taste is so bad. Too noise in the lobby. Overall is so disappointed for this staying

1. the service is excellent in the hotel. You are made to feel welcome as soon as you step into the building. The staff is also very helpful when you ask for taxi or ask them where I can go to buy things.
2. even though I got "upgraded" to the 29/floor, my room was exceptionally small. At least compared to the Crowne Plaza I stayed at in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Ningbo; this room is the smallest room amongst all.
3. the lounge on the 29/floor is nice; with nice view, and nice snacks. However, while I was working one morning in the lounge; two staff members were having an argument, and they were screaming at each other in the Club Lounge. When I approached them to quiet down, twice, before they go somewhere else to continue their argument. I said to them that this is highly inappropriate for such a hotel.
4. the Chinese restaurant linked to the hotel is not really part of the hotel. It feels more like a local restaurant with deco/service/even table cloth, not suitable for association with the hotel. I was quite shocked.
I recommend this hotel due to its superb services. The restaurant may need some work. And staff arguing in the lounge is probably an one-off, and the staff possibly thought that the lounge was empty, and didn't know I was sitting around the corner doing work.

The overall decoration looks like older than hotel opened just 4 yrs, I don't think it is meet the standard of 5 stars hotel. Service is fair but far from good.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Five Flies in guest room!!!
When I arrived in the hotel,I was given a twin room 2809.The room is very small and there is no welcome fruit for Platinum member,but it doesn't really matter.What is annoying me is that there are five big Flies in the room,that's disgusting!Although they have my room change to 27th floor after I called the manager but it did ruin my holiday.CP Grand Canal,never again!!!

The staff provided wrong wiring info which caused me lot's of troubles and did not communicate in time. As always, I think service of IHG is not as good as other five star hotel I have been stayed in.

This is my first time staying at this hotel. I Really like this hotel very much because of its convenient location. This hotel room is big and amply supplied of the toiletry. The breakfast served at 6am, but, we went it at 5:45am, we still managed to have our breakfast. That really surprised us. The daily breakfast with many selection. The hotel room bed was hard and confortable. The bathroom was also big. TV screen also big and clear. Swimming pool with the heater in winter. And the Spa also opened till quite late and also quiet at all time.
I would recommend my friend to stay in this hotel. I will also be staying at this hotel again on my next visiting

Very disappointed in my stay. I have stayed in all Crowne Plaza Hotels and this specific hotel was a disappointment. My room was changed and welcome fruit was never delivered. Overall the quality of service at reception was very disappointing and not friendly and welcoming. I will stay at Xanadu next time. Hope the experience is similar to my wonderful stay at Crowne Plaza Longgang

Really nice staff to be ready for all my needs and remembered my preference to make my life a lot more comfortable.
Some improvement suggestions are
1. Wireless in guest room
2. Better water protection system in the shower room(water will spill out or leak out in some rooms after shower)

Staff is friendly and informative on hotel benefits/offerings for me to fully enjoy promotions or programs on.
But room is a bit old style comparing to hotels like Marriot/Courtyard, Shereton Resort.
In room wifi is highly desired and will be most useful.
Lounge is good, but Wifi connection in not stable and not reachable from most seats.
Will appreciate limited number of free prints & scan for executive floor guests.

We used to stay in this hotel a lot but not recently. This time I'm so happy that we are back to the hotel and it's so very nice seeing Yuly, the club floor manager again. She knows exactly the type of room I'd prefer to stay and made proper arrangement. Other girls in the club floor are so very sweet and warm so I'm sure that Yuly has done a great job training those new staff. I can clearly see the improvement in many aspects. Would certainly love to stay here more in future. One particular feature for my recommendation--if people drive from Shanghai the hotel location really helps as you won't miss the sign "Desheng Elevated Road" on the "Huhang Highway" and it's pretty easy to find the hotel.
One downside--the car parking attendants are the worst compared with those of other hotels. Something should be done here.

My colleague who is also a plantium of IHG got upgraded to suite with executive regulated, however we checked in the same time. I was not greeted for the same terms. What concerned to me is not for an upgrade but for a more fair and transparent treatment.
