I was in Hanoi last weeks for business and stayed at the Crowne Plaza West Lake. I've been staying at this hotel regularly for the past 6 months or so and I've had good experiences with it.
However, this time I had a few problems when I stayed in room 2002
1. Internet access in the room was patchy. The wifi connection kept getting dropped and each time it dropped, i had to go to the Internet login page to continue getting access.
2. The additional security latch on the door was broken and could not be used.
Other than the issues above, the stay was fine and I will probably return.

I want to mention especially the club lounge service and the staff working there.
They were making acceptable my long stay for business far from my home.

My company opened an office in Hanoi in 2008, and I've traveled there several times a year since the opening. I have been staying at another hotel closer to downtown; it's nice there, but no comparison to the Crowne Plaza. I travel quite a bit and this is the only hotel i've ever been in where I felt "at home" - where else is there a "pillow menu"? - in my room and throughout the hotel. The restaurant is great, the staff is extremely friendly, the rooms were comfortable. This is a great place to stay and I would highly recommend it. It is truly an oasis in Hanoi, and would be highly ranked anywhere in the world.

no need to say anything apart that this is a great place where to stay, if you have business in that part of town.
My stay was very short, only two nights, but I'm looking forward to be back soon.
A very good experience not to be missed.

Executive lounge staff helpful as always. Hotel is a little out from the city centre, but was suitable to my requirements. Cannot fault anything really.

The Hotel is great from all perspectives , new , well designed , incredible staff , service and food are also very good.
the only downside to it is that it is abit far from the old town which is the place to be in Hanoi.

I have stayed at the Crowne Plaza West Hanoi twice now on business. Each time for two weeks and each time was a great experience. The guest rooms are very nice, the restaurant always has tasty food, in-room dining is well done, and the customer service is exceptional. The health club and spa on the 4th floor are worth a visit - nice locker rooms and attentive staff. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Hanoi and highly recommend this hotel for other travelers.
