I was thankful for Andy my airport transportation driver whom gave me back the confident of this Hotel after my last experience, he was pleasant and focus on his job and he abide by all the state[More]
driving rules. Also very thankful for Wilka at the front desk reservationist welcoming me with a great smile, acknowledge me as a regular guest with IHG Gold Elite customer and checking to see if their anything else I needed for my stay. Truly appreciate Yvonne as always for making sure everything is taking care of like my extra towels in my room because of my workout in the fitness room, remembering that I take extra showers, these are the little things why I have been a repeated customer at this location. Thank you Crown Plaza in Newark NJ. [Less]
It had been almost 16 months since i stayed at this hotel. the entire service team had turned over, but the new team made me feel as welcome if not more welcome than the old team. Christina in[More]
the restaurant/lounge at night was awesome, and the breakfast team ( i wish I wrote their names down ) were incredible as well.
The front desk team worked hard to meet all needs. Seemed like they were a little overwhelmed at times, like management was not supporting them. Also noted ladders in the lobby and drop- off area outside front door at inopportune times, like maintenance was going on that should have been finished.
Anyway, as a IHG menber who has stayed at this hotel almost once a year for the last 13 years, I will continue to return as long as the service staff is in place. i mourn the loss of old friends at this establishment but flourish in the glow of my new friends. As long as Christina and her family are at the hotel, i will feel like family. [Less]
We only stayed one night but it worked out perfectly. The staff were a bit of a mix - mostly positive with some exceptional and one mildly irritable after a busy day. The room was clean and[More]
comfortable. We opted for an extra high floor to avoid street noise, and it was very quiet.
Negative - (which may be a plus for some) - the neighborhood is SO crowded with pedestrian traffic that it takes a little longer than you expect to get places on foot. This means that Penn Station is a relatively easy walk but slightly harder than you might expect. [Less]
