This Holiday Inn is ideal for traveling into NYC, there is a shuttle to the Staten Island Ferry, it is located on the west side of the Island, easy to navigate around. The staff and amenities were[More]
just awesome. I want to mention names but that would not be appropriate, but I am going to list the initials of the guys and gals who made our stay so pleasant. You know who you are, N, J, C, M, and D. Thanks again and thanks for sharing your city with us. We love a local perspective when we stay away from home. Awesome!!! [Less]
We came for a wedding in Manhattan. The group pricing that we offered was very favorable. It is the original reason that we chose this hotel. But when we got there we were very pleased.
We had an[More]
upper level room facing the Hudson River - outstanding view (perhaps because we are IHG rewards members ?). Most others in our party had unimpressive views of other bldgs.
The staff was very responsive. When we left the "Do Not Disturb" tag out, they slipped a note under the door, telling us what number to call if we needed anything.
We were extremely pleased w/ the staff in the associated restaurant. At the last minute we moved a departing-day brunch from a nearby restaurant because their service was too slow. The staff in the hotel restaurant (St George Tavern) went the extra mile to accommodate us, opening up and servicing a room that provided plenty of space and privacy, even though the server had to climb stairs to take care of us.
One problem, elevator capacity is a little too small, so that guests on lower floors keep seeing full elevators in the morning. Lobby is also small and extra amenities are limited. But for a clean, safe, friendly place to stay in NYC, it was great. [Less]
