We only stayed one night but it worked out perfectly. The staff were a bit of a mix - mostly positive with some exceptional and one mildly irritable after a busy day. The room was clean and[More]
comfortable. We opted for an extra high floor to avoid street noise, and it was very quiet.
Negative - (which may be a plus for some) - the neighborhood is SO crowded with pedestrian traffic that it takes a little longer than you expect to get places on foot. This means that Penn Station is a relatively easy walk but slightly harder than you might expect. [Less]
We had some pre-stay correspondence regarding TV channels as I wanted to watch sport. They were very helpful and provided all the information I needed to choose to stay with them. The TV was HUGE so[More]
that aspect of my stay met my needs perfectly.
We liked the modern decor in the room - it felt clean and fresh. It didn't work quite so well in the restaurant due to a clash of styles, but the restaurant was fine apart from that - very friendly staff and a large choice of food.
Wifi was good.
We slept well - it was very quiet - and we had all the amenities we needed. We didn't use much of what was available in the hotel but it was reassuring to see a 24-hour shop if needed.
Check-in staff were great, and there was no queue on arrival or departure.
The airport shuttle was a highlight of our stay. When we arrived at Federal Circle there were 2 buses waiting, and as soon as we boarded it left with just us on board. On the return trip it left on time and dropped us off at our terminal very quickly due to the hotel's proximity to the airport.
JFK hotels are all expensive, but compared to others we've stayed in we felt this was good value and would stay here again. [Less]
