When it comes to general, easy-to-please items, the staff is amazing. I was unfamiliar with the Houston area, and didn't even want to interact all that much. There was one gentleman, though, who[More]
worked the desk/lobby area, and told me where I wanted to go. He was right! I wanted a place to see the Preakness race on one day, and he sent me just a couple of blocks down. I wanted to eat some crawfish, and he told me where to go for that. When my daughter wanted ice cream in the middle of the night, he made that happen, too. The gentleman who was in charge of the breakfast room was great as far as charm and hospitality was concerned. The food was really bad, though. I tried it every morning (I was there for more than a week) but could only stand it for a few mornings. One night there, several teenage girls were running the halls, out of control. I called and asked for help at 1:00 am. I was told it would be taken care of, but it wasn't. I had to go out and handle it myself. [Less]
This is a good hotel for families. I would recommend it, but there were a few flaws in the restaurant. The menu was good, but they were out of a lot of items, such as chili for the nachos and pizza[More]
sauce for the pizza. There was only one server trying to wait on many tables. She, did a good job though. [Less]
