Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Overpriced I have stayed here on many occasions, but for some reason the room price had shot up. Also you wanted to charge me for breakfast as an addition. I trust this will be a one off or shall be looking elsewhere . March 27, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Hard beds and poor food in the priority club, poorly stocked I have stayed at this hotel several times and this is the first time I have found the maintenance of the priority club poor! I had to ask several times to have the milk refilled in the coffee machine. The food was not the quality it has been in previous years - what has happened? The little muffins left during the day along with the poor selection of fruit (basically rotten apples) was unfortunate. What happened to the butter cookies, bananas, pears, etc. The beds in Room 309 were the hardest beds I have ever slept on and the pillows were lumpy. Also since I had traveled from overseas and was on a different time zone I put the do not disturb sign on the door. Hopefully the cleaning staff would know I did not want service instead they called me each day (woke me up) to ask if I wanted cleaning. What is the purpose of a DONT DISTURB SIGN. March 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very friendly staff in nice hotel Title says it all. Hotel is in a decent location, very close to the historic town centre and about 15 minutes by foot to the castle. Rooms nicely renovated, breakfast up to standard and very nice staff. March 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service, very friendly late night bar. The location is excellent, the rooms are comfortable and beds were larger than most in Europe, I had two doubles, great for sharing! The bar stayed open late, had some great late food options and very friendly service. Average gym, but at least they had one! This hotel is the pick up and drop off for the Luftansa shuttle bus from Frankfort airport, very convenient. March 13, 2013
March 13, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Short stay Only one night on business but always stay there when in Heidelberg. Club rooms are top with a great lobby lounge. Staff is always very friendly. February 21, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Welcome to Heidelberg Crown Plaza We( 2 Adults & 2 kids) visited Heidelberg crown plaza for a short break. On arrival the reception staff recognised your priority club status and could not do enough for you.The rooms were clean, well kept and comfortable. The hotel is only 2 minutes from the main shopping street and about 20 minute walk to the main square. Once again apart for a beautiful town the staff at the crown plaza were fantastic. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Centrally located in Heidelberg Close to the Walkplatz. Room was small but I guess that is expected. Was disappointed to have to pay for parking (19 Euro) and though I was upgraded to the Club Level room, I could not use the Club Room. I don't know why a Platinum member would not have had this access. This was the first hotel I had ever experienced that. The pool did look nice as did the spa area with steam and heat sauna. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mustergültiges Hotel. Was schon morgens beim Frühstücksbuffet auffiel. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Service and Staff I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are comfortable. Instead of moving into an apartment as planned we extended our stay here as we felt at home. The club lounge and business centre are accessible around the clock and most all our needs were met by the hotel and the shops and services which are all very close by. Thank you for making our stay memorable. When in Heidelberg, will definitely stay here again. January 16, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Central and cosy We really enjoyed our stay since it is in walking distance to the city centre and the famous castle. Very friendly staff! It made our stay perfect. The city has so much to offer so that we didn't have time to check out the pool and spa. We slept excellent. January 4, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by X-mas arrangement 2012 We enjoyed very much our stay at this place at Christmas. Thank you for your great hospitality and the comfort we received in rooming, dining and the beautiful pool area. We'll be back for sure! January 3, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service and Location Spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at the Heidelberg Crowne Plaza. Enjoyed our stay truly. Excellent location, old town is in walking distance. The Christmas Dinner and Brunch buffets had a good selection of food and very attentive, well trained service personnel. Live piano music added to the atmosphere. January 3, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service and Location Hotel is close to everything but not too close. The exercise facility is good and the staff is great. I wouldn't stay anywhere else (and I have been traveling to Heidelberg for 20 years). December 16, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A brief visit Stayed for two nights at the hotel on a conference visit. Staff were very helpful and the room was quiet and comfortable. As I'd just returned from the USA I was still very jetlagged and actually slept for 12 hours. This was not intended but nothing disturbed me. Had breakfast one morning and this provided a wide choice of hot and cold food. Very enjoyable. Would be happy to stay again. December 11, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel and Staff, location and facilities I stayed recently and many times before here in Heidelberg. They have a lot of renovations going on ( painting etc) but place is remarkable ...They have a new Sauna which is very nice and overall pool area is very quite and relaxing ...I was able to use only once this trip but it was worth it. Food in the bar was excellent ( ordered the Salmon) ..drinks are good..overall a great comfortable place to stay in Heidelberg, close to shopping and attractions. I would like to bring my family as kids can have a lot of fun in the pool and wife can go shopping. November 10, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent room(s), friendly staff. We were happy to stay in this hotel. Friendly staff. November 3, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent hotel with a little extra personal touch I've stayed here three times on business and have forward booked for all my future visits to Heidelberg. The room I've had each time has been in the same area of the hotel, overlooking the bus station though on different floors each time, and has always been quiet and extremely comfortable. The bathroom toiletries are plentiful and the towels large and thick. The air conditioning works well and is nearly silent. As a Priority Club Platinum member I've been lucky enough to get an upgrade to a Club Room each time, but it's the other little extras that make the difference: a voucher for a drink in the bar and a little treat waiting in my room (once a soft drink, another time a crisp apple, most recently a home-made pumpkin mini-muffin. The staff are excellent and speak perfect English. Breakfast is a plentiful supply of all the usual hot and cold favourites and I've never been disappointed. October 17, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Executive Salon The Executive Salon provided excellent hors d'oeuvres, culinary snacks, cocktail buffet and every beverage that one would desire. It was kept stocked, tidy and welcoming all day long. October 5, 2012
