Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice room Very nice hotel. Room decor was upscale. Easy access to beach and other spots in neighborhood. Pool great with 25 yard lap lane. Parking fees are high but that is the same at all resort hotels in Florida. Need to lower the rate for paying guests who self park. No more than $10 a day. August 12, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by They Took Away the Amenities for Platinum Members! I stay at this hotel often during my monthly trips to South Florida. Upon arrival on this 4 night stay I was informed that the "new and improved" IHG Rewards program took away the great amenities I was used to having here. Free parking, bottled water, Starbucks coffee every morning, and cocktails. Now upon check-in you have to choose whether you want one coffee, a comp. drink, or 200 extra points. I was so frustrated I left after the first night and went to Hilton where I am guaranteed all of this and more #breakfast# with my Diamond Status. It's too bad that IHG #if they really are to blame# had to change the program and ultimately lose business based on these actions. I will not return to this hotel again! August 12, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service. It is a pleaseure to write this review to such wonderful staff at the Hollywood Crown Plaza hotel. Everyone was extremenly helpful from changing a light bulb to bringing me toothpaste. Sandra at the front desk was very pleasent up on arrival as well as the bellmen we very concientious with the arrival and departure of guests - even in a downpour. The room was very comfortable and the bed was heavenly. Thank you so much for making my stay so worthwhile. Sandra August 12, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel .... aside from the poor WIFI I've stayed in this hotel for MANY nights over the past 3 years. I love it! Beautiful pool, close to the beach. I always enjoy my stay! However, the Internet connection (WIFI strength) is beyond terrible. I've never stayed in a hotel with such slow speed. Simple tasks like social media are even made difficult. Can't even get WIFI access at the pool. This needs to be addressed ASAP. All guests I talked to over the past 11 days have complained about it as well. Other than that, this hotel is great! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Aging but comfortable Rooms are very large and comfortable, and have almost everything you could need for your stay. Excellent location, though you have to make a U-turn to get into the place. Hotel decor is a little old and musty but acceptable. Noise level not bad as long as you keep the fan in the room on. Only weird thing was the hotel store which was closed every time we wanted to go, even in the middle of the day. July 29, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay. Overall everything was ok, just if you valet park watch them park your car. Normally they are great but this last time there was a valet parker that drove my car like it was a race car. Hopefully the next time I stay there that don't happen. July 27, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ok stay Stayed for a conference. Staff very pleasant. Room not very clean. Hair everywhere and stains on bed and pillows. July 25, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location & Amenities This was my second stay at this hotel. The location is central to attractions in both Miami-Dade and Broward counties. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The infinity pool is fabulous. The trolley and water taxi services are an added bonus. Overall, a great hotel at a super value! July 17, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Needs Help! Hotel is not real clean or kept up. We stayed 2 nights and had to change rooms twice. First room the shower wouldn't drain and none of the drawers in the dresser and night stands would stay shut. The carpet was worn and the chase lounge had a tear in it. The second room the A/C didn't work at all. I will say the staff was eager to meet our needs and moved our rooms with each request. It was not convenient to the beach either (which was very misleading on the website#. Valet parking is very small but the employees are very efficient. The pool was ok, but way over-crowded. The restaurant #Elements Bistro) was terrible. The service wasn't friendly...Not a great stay overall! July 12, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Very Nice... but... My family and I rented for the 4th of July weekend here. The hotel is very nice, staff is attentive and everything was clean and well maintained. Location is great, not too far from the beach. perhaps a 5 minute walk. The shower had very little water pressure, made it difficult to bathe my young daughter. Room was nice, beds were comfortable. The WiFi had very poor. It was useless. So offereing FREE WiFi and it not working defeats the purpose. The pool area was very spacious and plenty of chairs and seating, Pool was clean, plenty of shade and sunny areas for tanning. Here is where the "BUT" comes in.. the pool rules were excessively strict. Wouldn't even allow us to take a water bottle in. #Due to the fact that they have their own Tiki hut and food# so I can understand the no outside food or alcoholic beverages, BUT have my three young children, they get thirsty and may want maybe a light snack, a fruit, a juice or at the least some WATER the fact that I cannot take in ATLEAST that, I am FORCED to pay overpriced amounts for those items at their Tiki Bar/Restaurant, it was a bit much! I will think twice if I decide to stay here again It is a shame because the hotel was very nice and we really enjoyed our stay-cation. July 10, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Need some attention The overall service was ok. The furniture throughout the hotel is not well maintained. It all needed to be cleaned. The breakfast bar was horrible and way over priced. I would not recommend the hotel food or bar. July 6, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Value and location My family and I spent three days at the property prior to boarding our cruise. The facilities where clean and comfortable. The location was great. The beach was a short walk across the street, and the Trolly ride for a buck was great to get to the Boardwalk for shopping and dining. July 1, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Too many hidden fees My overall stay was good. Room nice, room big. Bed very comfortable. My problem came when I checked in and was informed that a$50 per day would be held on my credit card or debit card! So for my 4 days a extra$200 would be held on my card. If I was planning to use that money durning my trip, that would have spoiled all my spending plans! Also the water was contaminated for 2or 3 days no ice was available in the hotel. I know this was a city wide problem but the "resort" should have bought ice for their guest at the 7eleven next door free of charge. The concierge (kevin) was most helpful and went and bought the ice for us and was very helpful & courteous durning our stay! The front desk was very nice at check in and allowing us a late check out too! Would think about staying again, great location just would rethink due to the fees! June 25, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very disappointed My stay was for 9 nights (Saturday - Monday). I also made reservations for another 7 nights in August. After a week staying at the hotel I had to leave due to your pool policy which was not mentioned at time of making reservations nor posted in pool area nor any other place in your hotel! My 2 sisters and my 2 adult nieces came to visit me for a few hours on Saturday and I was told they were not allowed to be with me at the pool as they were not a guest at the hotel. When I went to the front desk and asked to speak with a Manager I was told there was no Manager but I could speak to a Supervisor. I explained to your Supervisor what the pool security had said and she replied this is the policy and only guests could be at the pool area. I was so upset for this action that I checked out immediately and asked to cancel my August reservations . I then checked in to another hotel and had no issues with my family visiting me. I fly down to FL 2-3 times a year and stay in hotels but this was the first time I have ever experienced such a policy! Very disappointed with your hospitality as I was really looking forward to stay at your hotel for all my future FL visits. June 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful room with an even better view We stayed there only one night but the room was beautiful, clean, and spacious. We reserved and executive room and our view of the lake/pool on one side and the beach on the other was breathtaking. For being right by the beach, this is a great deal. Will definitely consider staying there again. June 22, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by surprise! Paid for room a month in advance. Charged an extra $100 security deposit when we arrived. Dirty clothes in sink when we got to room. Asked for water which never came(you couldn't drink the water due to boil water alert). Have stayed here twice before but will not again. June 21, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good rooms and location Nice, good staff! The hotel has a nice pool and is easily located across from the beach June 15, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable stay Awesome stay. we loved the ambience in the hotel. The bed comfort and cleanliness. June 10, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hidden treasure on the beach Needed a hotel after a wonderful cruise and most of the beach hotels were really expensive. However, this hotel was a great price and a great place to stay. Its not directly on the water but a walk across the street and your there. There is also a convenient store next to the hotel for those midnight munchies. The best is the pool/tiki bar. This was a nice plus for us. It was just a nice relaxing couple of days hanging out buy the pool. We even had dinner by the pool. Another plus is that its about 5 mins away from a casino. Cant go wrong here. June 10, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by North Miami Fun I just returned from a fun and relaxing mini vacation get away to Hollywood, FL. This was my second stay at the Crowne Plaza Hollywood. The service was even better than last time. They have a new pool bar with great bartenders and servers and the prices are reasonable too! I feel this Crowne Plaza is best suited for adults, couples and families looking for a quiet hotel with a great location and everything you need within 15 min walk. Shopping for last minute supplies or snacks, great restaurants and bars (Check out the Upper Deck to watch YOUR favorite game) and the beech is right across the street from the hotel. The big hotel pool is perfect for kids or adults looking to laze around or swim. The rest of the Hollywood Beech fun is less than a 15 min $1 trolley ride away, and the Adventura Mall is a quick cab ride away for shopping or a movie. Staff were very helpful, the doormen could answer any question and the front desk staff were fast at check in and with any requests. I will definitely be back June 5, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Unauthorized Charges I did not stay at this location in March but was charged for same. I received an email reservation confirmation on March 21 for a room booked for March 24 and advised that there was an error as I did not book same. They went ahead and charged my card plus attempted to charge another $2,000 on my card that was fortunately denied. Beware! June 5, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Staff was Amazing Was expecting this hotel to be closer to the action in Hollywood also thought we could walk around but there was nothing to walk to so that was a huge disappointment. Upon check in we asked for a late check out as our flight wasn't until 8pm and we were given a 3pm complimentary check out which I was very appreciative for. The hotel is nice, the pool area and Tiki bar are great. Our room was nothing special as a matter of fact we had a balcony which we were hoping would have more of a view of the intercoastal waterway but we saw more of the parking lot instead. The table and two chairs that were supposed to be on the balcony - there was only one chair and table on the balcony - I called to get another chair and we received a ballroom chair not an outdoor chair! The kitchenette was nice to have but it didn't have any dishes, silverware, glasses, or any utensils just empty cabinets. Not many channels on the TV. I would like to commend the front desk for their help in getting my boarding pass printed. The business center printer wasn't working and the internet was as slow as a snail. Glad I wasn't trying to work, however, the front desk clerk and I wish I got his name, allowed me to print my boarding pass on their printer. Also Kevin, the Concierge was wonderful. He ran around getting people's bags, making sure that everyone had what they needed and couldn't have been nicer - he certainly is an asset to the hotel. Manny at the Tiki Bar was lots of fun and extremely nice. We were hoping for an upgrade but weren't offered one - i did write on my reservation that we would pay for an upgrade for a corner room especially when we say that they were the only rooms with really good views. The bathrooms had NO ventilation at all which is really weird - not even a fan and because the sink was outside the bathroom, there was no place to put anything down. The restaurant on site had a buffet breakfast which was not good - cold eggs, no bacon, nothing exciting and very bland and it wasn't cheap. we were going to have a late lunch or dinner there on our last day but they close between 2 and 5 so that was out. We ate at the Tiki bar and the food was pub fare and fine. There was no where else close or within walking distance to have a nice meal. Cabs seemed to cost $30 or more one way to anywhere. The $1 trolley was a treat and got us down to the boardwalk and restaurant area but it took forever to get back and we finally had to take a cab. All in all there were some nice things about the hotel, in particular the staff, but the location absolutely turned me off so we will not be back. June 2, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Value This property offers great value and comfort compared to its nearby more pricey competitors. Pool is nice and beach access is easy right across the street. Service is great. Restaurant and poolside bar could be a little more upscale, but this is relatively minor. Breakfast is a great deal also. I know I will be staying there again. June 2, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excelent Location I liked everything about this Hotel, except from charging for parking... It´s very near to the beach, has great views from your room, great space and ammenities in the room, near a Walmart Supercenter for any emergency need (and a 7Eleven just next door) and easy to take the route or arrive from... yet don´t know why its called "Hollywood" if it´s just in front of "Hallandale beach"... (???) June 1, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A relaxing retreat When we had booked our reward night here we were skeptical at first. After all, how can you have a "beach" resort and be on the intercoastal? Well, we weren't dissapointed at all. The staff at check in were superb. we were allowed to check in a few hours early and we were also instantly upgraded to a corner room on the 9th floor with a fantastic view. The hotel seems newer althought the footprint might suggest otherwise. The pool was bustling and an overall great experience. Unfortunately the jets in the hot tub were not working. Other than that we had a relaxing day at the pool and it was just a quick walk across the street to the beach. The hotel is right in front of a trolley stop that takes you to the boardwalk and/or downtown for $1 each. Parking fees were high but were waived for platinum members. The on-site restaurant looked bland at best lacking decor, the menu at first glance seemed pricey for the area ($30+). We took the trolley to the boardwalk and ate at Jake's on the beach, perfect patio dining in the heart of the boardwalk. The staff at the pool were really slow and unattentive as the day went on, but the night bartender saved the day, this guy was great! He really took the time to help everyone. I wish we had caught his name. Overall I would say we had a blast and reccomend this hotel especially on a Sunday. Overall our stay was a success from the moment we checked in. We would definately stay there again. May 25, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stopover This was a one night stopover on our road trip down the Florida coast on our way to Key West. We had a corner room on the 7th floor. The view up the street at night was great. Had our coffee the next morning by the pool next to the intercostal waterway. Everything was great. Would stay there again. May 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service very relaxing venue They supplied the extra pillows and blankets we asked for and that went a long way with me, they made our stay heavenly. May 22, 2013
