Bed and room were great. Room was a little warm but after an hour it was fine. Twenty minutes should be the norm. Internet service needs to be improved.
Great location and staff provided great service and spirit. Breakfast buffet was between good and excellent.
My boss was impressed.

The room was very noisy because of the proximity to the highway.
The room was very average and the bathroom was small with low tile ceiling which somehow had a pipe bit sticking out near the shower head?
I will certainly avoid this property in the future.

I have been staying at different hotels in the medical area trying to find one I feel safe and comfortable staying at alone, I finally found it at the Crowne Plaza. Very beautiful place. The parking lot is fenced in so there is no random foot traffic crossing through it and a security guard is posted at door which is important to me, a woman traveling alone. Very comfortable bed, clean rooms, great views, two pools...loved it. Great, hot cooked breakfast buffet with awesome service in dining room. I only ate breakfast there but I'm sure any meal would be a treat. Will definitely be staying here again while my dad is at MD Anderson.

Loved the fact that Reliant stadium is in walking distance. Did not have to deal with driving in all the trafic. It was much easier to walk than to drive to and from the hotel before and after the event at reliant stadium. Rooms were clean. Matress was comfortalbe. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room set up was confusing but the staff gave good directions and once you learned your way around the hotel it was not bad. Breakfast was wonderful. Well worth the money to stay at this hotel to attend an event at Reliant stadium. Attended the Kenny Chesney/ Tim McGraw concert. Walking to the stadium was a great option.

My husband and I have been traveling to Houston for the last five years for him to receive medical treatment at MD Anderson. We have stayed at Crowne Plaza most of the time. We've always had a good experience there, from the friendly staff, to the comfortable rooms, and the wonderful food. We've felt like it's our home away from home when we're there. They're are always extremely helpful. We would and do recommend them to anyone traveling to Houston.

We arrived at our room and the air conditioning was not working in the hall way or our room. We had reserved a room with a king bed but they gave us a room with double beds. We called the front desk and were told that when you book a room and specify what type it is only considered a request not a sure thing. I would have thought that they could have informed us when we checked in. Only good thing about this hotel is the location if you are going to reliant stadium.

FIRST OF ALL WE ARRIVED 2 HOURS EARLY TO CHECK IN TO ATTEND OUR CONCERT (KENNY/TIM) ON TIME OR RATHER EARLY!! WE GOT CHECKED IN WITH RESERVATIONS OF 2 ROOMS (FAMILY) . ONLY TO GET 1 OF OUR ROOMS AS A STORAGE ROOM!! WITH TRASH FOOD BLANKETS TO THE TOP OF THE CEILING! CALL FOR MANAGER AND GOT ANOTHER SET OF 2 ROOMS WITH GUEST ALREADY CHECKED INTO THEM!!! OMG THEN GOT MANAGER TO GET US ANOTHER SET OF ROOMS ON ANOTHER FLOOR THEN ELEVATORS BROKE !!!!! IT WAS HOT ALSO MIND YOU WE ARE MOVING AND MOVING WITH NO STAFF HELP WHAT SO EVER WITH ALL THIS LUGGAGE!!!! VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! YES!!! WE ALL WERE STUCK ON THIS FLOOR FOR ABOUT 45MIN !!! THEN WE ALL HAD TO MOVE TO THE 3RD FLOOR WITH LUGGAGE THROUGH THE STAIRS!!!!! AT THIS POINT WE HAD REACHED 2 HOURS AND STILL NO ROOM !!! WE GET OUR ROOMS AND AC DONT WORK !!!! OMG WE GOT TO CONCERT LATE !!! BAD BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!! ALL WE GET WAS SORRY!!!!

I stayed at this hotel eight to ten months ago and was content with my stay. This time I was very disappointed with the hotel charge and the room that I had. The tub was dirty, the bed was uncomfortable, I was put in a room outside of the main building, and the charge was a lot more expensive. Had I known that I would have to stay in another building, I would not have stayed at this particular hotel. I will not stay there again.

I stay at this hotel quite often and I find the staff to be very nice. They always welcome me like an old friend.
However, there are consistent problems at this hotel. 1. There is never hot water for a shower. I've tried several times a day and it's always luke warm at best. This is terrible! 2. The A/C thermostats in all rooms. I've stayed in 10+ different rooms in this hotel and none of them work properly. If you try to lower the room temperature more than 2 degrees, the digital display goes blank. I'm not kidding, this happens in every room I stay in. 3. All the toilet paper holders are broken. They don't lock into place. I know this isn't a big deal but it is a little irritating.

I don't like to write bad reviews about a business unless I really feel that the business would benefit from reading it.
I didn't not enjoy my stay at the Crowne Plaza in Houston. First of all, the lobby area give you the impression that this is a 5 star hotel.
I must say the lobby area is very nice, but the rest of the hotel is not.
The only reason I stayed at this hotel is because of my family reunion. The room was not comfortable at all. It was very small. The closet space was only big enough to hang up about 10 items. There was no refrigerator or microwaves in the room.
We called guest services to see if they could bring us one, but they say they were all given out on first come first serve basis.
The bathroom was very small and it had a stuffy odor. The toilet seat was broken. The first night when we pulled the pillows back off the bed, they had hair all over them. That was on both of the beds. We called front desk, and they sent up more pillows. So we put those dirty pillows in the floor in the bathroom, hoping that housekeeping would take them and clean them off. But they put those same pillows back on the bed with the hair still on them. So the next day I left a note on the pillows and told them these were the same dirty pillows from the other day, and do not put them back on the bed.
The breakfast area was not clean at all. The floors were very dirty under the tables, and I had a bug crawling on my glass of juice. I called the server over and showed it to him. He took it away and brought me more juice. But by that time I was so disgusted I didn't want it.
My husband wanted to leave the very first night, but I convinced him to stay because we had other family members staying there as well. And to my knowledge they were not satisfied either.
I would not stay at this hotel again or recommend it to anyone else.
I should have asked for a full refund.

Toliet backed up, air condition never operated correctly and cleaning staff went through luggage and took money from daughters suitcase. left only decafe coffee and never left enough towels in bathroon.

We have never been disappointed when staying here.
The shuttle to MD Anderson takes a lot of anxiety off us.
The employees are thoughtfull and courteous.
Breakfast is wonderful too.
Not the most beautiful hotel but the good care and kindness of staff is wonderful.

It was a honor to have the Department of Texas American Legion host their annual convention at your fine hotel. All of the legionnairs were very pleased and the staff at the hotel were top notch and the food in the restaurant was so good. We will definately stay there the next time we take in a Houston Texans game.

Was very disappointed in my stay, attended a convention, all my members were arranged throughtout the hotel - others were placed in the better rooms in the tower. We were sent to the Older and very, very far end of the hotel. My room was booked 2 mos in advance, while others booked the week before - yet they got the better room in the tower. No free breakfast bar. Bar and restaurant were to expensive. Room was very cold, even setting the temp to 85. Convention rooms were also cold, had to wear a sweater all the time, went outside to thaw out.. Had to get housekeeping to vacuum floor. Ironing board was broke. The website showed rooms overlooking the pool, little did I know that my room would be overlooking the pool across the street at the apartments.

My family and I stayed overnight in 3 rooms (my wife and I, my Mom and Dad, and My sister in law). There were issues in every room. My room had something on the inside of the door on the walls near the door and the ceiling near the entrance. A maid came to clean it after I called a couple of times. I can not identify what it was. I just know it looked gross. The AC worked but the noise from the fan motor was like having a truck motor running in the room all night. My parents room had to have a lock installed on the door and the comode unstopped. My sister in laws room had to have a flush valve installed to stop the comode from running. It was just a bit too much. I will not be returning to this property.

We stayed in the remodeled wing of the hotel and the beds were definitely much better than the previous year. We have stayed at this location for three years in a row for the Houston Rodeo and I'll book again. We also appreciated the service from your catering department and wanted to let you know that Ronit is a lady who goes above and beyond in her job to accomodate us. We look forward to working with her and the rest of your staff again.

There was a water main break and the property management did very little if anything to accomodate guests that were without water off and on for 36 hours. Our room had no working smoke detector. All that was there were wires hanging from the ceiling.
The lines to check in / check out were just incredible.
We have been to this hotel for the last couple of years with each visit be a little worse than the year before.

I like the comfortable beds, breakfast buffet, single serving coffee makers and single coffee and tea, shuttle bus and curteous drivers, pillow gifts and special treats, ie, cookies, fruit, in the afternoons, friendly front office staff, special accomodations, medical reates.
One area you have an opportunity to improve is the uncovered electrical outlets and/or holes in the walls in the rooms....as rodents scurry in and out of them and across the room.

I have stayed at this Hotel for the past four during OTC at the Reliant Center and the price always match the service / quality of the Hotel. However this year (2012) the price more than double and the service was poor. We were located in the furthest room from the lobby. Two days our room was not serviced. When the front desk was called it took two hours for a response……..
Sorry Crown Plaza this is not what is expected I always liked staying here because of location but next year I will be staying elsewhere.

The only plus to this hotel is that it is located within walking distance to the convention center. Besides that, this was probably the worst Holiday Inn property I have ever stayed in. ( Keep in mind that I have had nothing but pleasant experiences with Holiday Inn which is why I stay almost exclusively for business and leisure travel)
1. Leak in bathroom ceiling. Called front desk 5 times before they sent anyone there.
2. Broken iron, took 3 times for someone to come. This was over a 24 hour period that they did not replace.
3. General condition of room, carpet stain, water spots on ceiling, mold on curtains, worn bedding, mattress and furniture
4. hallway and room musty smelling and unclean
5. Restaurant poor service. Took 20 mins for someone to offer me a menu. Waiter left during my meal and nobody picked up my meal from the kitchen and it arrived cold. Could not find anyone to take back so I just ate it cold. Took another 20 mins to get check. Looked like they were more concerned with setting up a banquet. This was suppose to be their upscale steak restaurant too.
I plan on attending the show I was at during this stay next year. I will plan on staying at the Holiday Inn down the street rather than stay at this hotel unless something is done to update this property. 6 days there was more than enough.
