The staff at this hotel was outstanding. I arrived early and was able to check in quickly. Checkout was a breeze also. They made sure I had my needs met without being obtrusive.
The hotel itself could use an update. But otherwise it was a decent place to stay.

I stay here for business travel because I like their selection of fruits during breakfast for Priority Club members, and because they have comfortable Sealy Pillowtop mattresses. The staff is also quite friendly and helpful.
The survey asked me about this visit though, which was strange because I was woken up by the sound of lots of water coming down from the bathroom ceiling. Maintenance came and fixed it but now the room smelled like sewage so I had to switch rooms. The new room didn't have hot water at 4:00 AM when I got up to go -- a funny time not to have water. When I made it to breakfast, the fruits were infested with gnats / fruit flies.
I still plan to stay there in a couple weeks and call this a fluke, but I don't know if I'd recommend it others.

My room reeked like an old smoking room. Pulls in the carpet, Paint chipping off the door and a very old tub. Defiantly not up to my Crown Plaza standards. Hotel staff friendly and great at checking. Why did I not move rooms, I was beat from all day of traveling. I did say something at checkout and they just said oh… Ill tell the maid service. They that their “corporate” customers near the front desk and a platinum member did not seem to matter to the morning staff.. Restaurant staff great food was good.

The best thing about staying in this hotel is the service from their employees. Henry at the front desk is the most helpful hotel employee I have ever dealt with.
I go to Houston once a month, and will only stay here.

the hotel randomly took guests at check in, people waiting in line were ignored for people who rushed to the front
my complaint about check in resulted in the worse room i ever had in a hotel, after traveling 27 years
the room was on the first floor, with the elevator and the loud music from the lobby to deal with
thanks goodness there are other hotels in Houston,

Truly one of the most memorable stays I have had in a hotel this year. The room was well lovely and the hotel provided me with everything I needed for my stay to make it an enjoyable experience. The lady who worked the happy hour and breakfast (on the 2nd floor) is a delight!!! She is friendly and engaging with the customers. She is responsive to requests. She is an asset and should be treated as such.
I will make it a point to stay here again when I have work in that area of Houston in the future.

the day i checked in my day was not going well and i was tired.but that all changed at check in.when i checked in i was greeted by (HENRY).AND THAT WAS IT.by the time he finshed checking me in,i was ready to go out and hit the town.he did his job well and answered all my ?`s about the area.i wish all hotels had a front desk person like (HENRY).the hotel is great and my room was roomy and the bed was great.i will return here the next time i`m in houston,tx...

I expected more out of a Crowne Plaza. I think there were some good perks associated with this stay, and that would have been great if they took care of the basics. Breakfast was mediocre and the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. It also bothered me that there were no stairs at the hotel (only emergency). It was pretty loud as well, but turning the fan on high took care of that for the most part, though I did have to phone the front desk for some noisy neighbors one night at 2AM.
That said, the staff is top notch, and the hotel itself is nice enough. Again, a lot of things that would have been great "exciters" if they just took care of the basics first.

I received excellent Customer Service from the Manager on Duty. I was dissatisfied with my room because the pool was blocked by the palm trees and she did not hesitate to accomodate me with another room. Also I was pleasantly pleased with the esthectics of the room. I slept well that night.

Although my stay was a short one, I would highly recommend the property to anyone who may be in the area. The entire front desk team had an amazing personality. They made every effort to expedite the check-in process. The manager on duty (I believe his name is Raj.) did an amazing job of quickly taking care of my need to be moved to a different room.
Great going team!!! I'll see you again next time I'm in Houston.

I expected this hotel to be a little nicer than it was. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, but the rooms need updating, especially the bathrooms. Also, if you have a room facing the highway, it is extremely noisy! This is not a great part of town to stay in, but I guess this is about as good as it gets in this area. The complimentary breakfast is a joke. I would rather pay for better food. It's basically stale bread, cereal and coffee. There is nothing hot and no protein. They had some fruit, but it wasn't fresh and was picked over by 7:00 AM.

I COMPLETELY understand that check-in is at 3:00pm, and that the staff is not required to check me in until that time. But, I had travelled far and arrived at 12:00pm. I politely asked if any rooms were available. I was given a curt and rude response that, "check-in is at 3:00pm!"
Yes, I KNOW that. But, you mean to tell me that in a hotel this size, not one single room had been cleaned? I know people had already checked out! You can schedule your cleaning staff to clean rooms as they become available. Especially if you were sold out the night before!
Anyway, they could have been more courteous with their response and offered me a drink ticket or a breakfast, OR ANYTHING!
BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I had a wonderful stay recently at this hotel. Henry was our front desk agent and was extremely helpful in making us comfortable and could not be more accommodating. Crystal was also great at the front desk. I will definitely return to this property when my travels bring me back to Houston.

i have stayed here several times and the staff always makes me feel at home. The only issues i had this time was the oatmeal was ice cold on the first morning ( told the waitress) after that was hot every morning . The only other issue i had was housekeeping went through my makeup bag. I let the front desk know and they took care of it ( nothing was taken) the manager called me a couple of days later to talk about the issue and was taking care of it.I will always stay at this hotel when i am in Houston. I have always felt safe when i stay here.

My recent stay at the Brookhollow Crowne Plaza found us staying in one of the "courtyard" rooms. A convenient ground-floor room in that it opened to the parking lot and to the pool area courtyard, allowing us to come and go rather easily. However, the room was extremely humid for our entire two-night stay. We cranked the AC to ultra-cold with no relief from the humidity. Not sure if anything can be done to dry out these rooms but please options should be explored.

I would like to compliment the staff at the Crowne. Henry at the front desk is awesome and goes out of his way to make sure the quests are taken care of. I am a frequent traveler to Houston and always stay at this hotel because of the service.

My wife and I have stayed three times in the past few months including ou 46th Wedding Anniversary.
The staff was helpful, polite & enthusiastic.
We had a spacious room and one of the most comfortable beds I have had while traveling.

We evacuated from New Orleans from Hurricane Isaac and previously stayed at another hotel across the street from a different company. That hotel was absolutely disgusting and we came over to the Crowne Plaza for a better place to stay. What we found was warmth, being welcomed and provided great privileges due to being a Priority Club member, and a great staff. I would HIGHLY recommend this great hotel next time.
My only suggestion -- as priority club members we were offered free breakfast which was a great offer and my suggestion would be a better breakfast selection. The breakfast selection was not as up to par as the rest of the hotel.

First I would like to say that the desk staff was some of the best that I have encountered in some time.
The overall comfort was very good, but I did have a problem with the water temperature on two of three nights that I was a guest. I reported the problem on Monday morning when the temperature bordered on cool water. Monday evening and Tuesday morning the temerpature was very good. Tuesday evening the water temperature was luke warm and then on Wednesday moring it was just like it was on Monday morning, just barely luke warm.
Also, on Monday morning the meeting room we were assigned and the table with the coffee were ccovered in ants and then Monday night a spider feel out of the ceiling while we were enjoying the managers reception.

Yes, it's an older hotel. It's clean, comfortable, but the staff puts the shine on this property. Helpful, kind, and even my hard to please nine year old daughter thought they were great! It made our time in Houston tolerable...and we would stay there again, any time! With so many choices, having that extra little "something" is really important.

From the moment I was checked in, I knew the conference would be a pleasant experience. Each staff member greeted me with a smile and a positive attitude. My room was welcoming and comfortable. The pre-dinner buffet and coctails helped me meet with traveling companions and plan our evening. Having a hotel van available for local trips was a fabulous added service and the hotel staff drivers were exceptional...especially Stanley!
