Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by genevacarol Nice stay
We spent one evening here with our 4 year old granddaughter to visit the Children's Museum. The lobby was very nice with lots of seating at various levels. Our room was nice, but the ceiling in the bathroom was much lower than the bedroom's. I'm 5'10" and it felt rather claustrophobic, although it was clean and well appointed. Appreciated the magnifying mirror. Beds were very comfortable.
I was hoping for a soak in the hot tub, but it wasn't working. Dinner in the restaurant was fine and the staff was very pleasant and helpful regarding our granddaughter. Fix the hot tub and we'll stay again,

Customer service and check-in (nearing 7pm) upon arrival was very friendly and fast. However, I was greeted with a large pile (approx 3 feet long, 2 feet wide, 2 feet high).of dirty linens at my door. The bathroom was tiny and did not allow much space to move in order to close the door; tub drain backed up throughout the length of the shower. Room by elevator/vending and ice was very noisy.

We took a few days (last minute) to visit Indy Children Museum and Zoo, took advange of a package. Chose this hotel over others because of indoor pool, 7 and 9 year old would just about rather swim than anything. Check in thurs am out friday. Impressive lobby. Front desk let us check in early (as there was a room available) had package tickets ready and waiting for us. I felt like a guest vs. a burden when we checked in, very pleasant experience. Room nice, clean, no complaints. Kids enjoyed pool in evening. Breakfast buffet and server good.
One comment, photographer did a great job photographing pool, photo made pool look much larger (understandable) than actual, still very nice.

There are many choices for a clean and comfortable room. The Crown at Indy had that and some of the best staff people to always lend an appreciative, helping hand attitude. I would recommend highly!

It took almost an hour for them to get us a room, even though we reserved months in advance. But they gave us a few free drinks for the hassle. Overall decent experience.

I have held meetings for several years and each time the staff is efficient and supportive. Value is good. Noise from airport not an issue, Restaurant and Bar service and quality is good.
Meeting room is quality in Symposium style. Set up is clean and efficient Billing is ontime as are reservations and the BEO. Hospitality on 5th floor unexpected and nice addition, but not fancy, nor manned that I am aware.
You stay here you get value, a friendly staff from the front desk to back office, and close proximity to the Airport with a great shuttle service.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kathydmg Immaculate room and outstanding staff
My husband and I were very impressed with the clean and comfortable room. The bathroom was absolutely immaculate. We were treated by every staff member we met with the utmost courtesy and concern that we were satisfied.
This hotel is very close to the airport and we were somewhat worried about noise. A faint whooshing sound, very negligible, was the only noise we heard. It didn't interrupt our sleep whatsoever.
Since we have family living in the Indianapolis area, we will definitely stay at the Crowne Plaza, and will recommend it to family and friends.

This hotel is typical of Crown Plaza's, always a good place to stay, good sleeping accommodations and staff. The only thing that was not positive was the internet wifi. Slow and sometimes disconnected. Mentioned to the staff and they directed me to the 800 number. Other than that, this is a first class place to stay.

Thanks for taking care of us. You have great staff and the shuttle was waiting for us at 11pm when we landed weary from travel. I'd encourage anyone flying out of IND to stay and park at your property.

Me and my family have been staying here for the last 5 years in March. This last stay will be our last. We only saw maid service our first night because we had a roll away bed sent up for one night. The hot tub was cemented in. We were charged for a refrigerator that was not in our room, $10 per night for this even though we had no refrigerator. Paid for room a couple weeks in advance then when we get here they charged us for damage deposit and was told would be refunded at check out. Have not been refunded yet. Feel like I was cheated out of this money. Emailed them and no response. will never stay here again. Plus the rooms were very dark as well as the bathroom.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by airheadjeff Nice place to stay on a business trip
I was on the end of a long multi city business trip (10 days on the road) and this was my last 2 nights. Sleep was good, room was fine just a bit dark with no outside windows on the rooms facing the cortyard/pool area. I think it could be loud if there were a bunch of kids in the pool but no too many on my stay. Resurant was OK but not great. The locations is a bit odd now that the terminal for the airport is on the other side of the runways... Not alot of places to eat close by so you need a car. Worked well for a few nights on a business trip.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nakedcity101 Good staff, clean rooms...but not a nice hotel
I've stayed at or seen many Crowne Plaza properties, and this has to be one of the worst. The staff were great, and everything was clean...but the look and feel of the hotel is way below standard. I stayed there because it was close to the airport, so I guess it served my purpose...but if I'm ever in the same situation again I'll stay somewhere in downtown Indy.
NB: Many of the other Indy airport hotels I drove past looked just as bad.

We are usually happy to stay here. we stay here every three months for a meeting I have. We were sad to hear that they are no longer keeping there hot tub. So thats a disadvantage. Housekeeping wasnt as good this time we stayed. Dishes left outside the doors all day long. trash in the hallways and it usually is not like that.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by FLpapaw clean, comfortable, and heated pool
I stayed here with my daughter and my 2 grandchildren and had a wonderful time. The hotel is very well designed and is very clean. The indoor pool was large enough, but not oversized, and was heated to a comfortable level. I will definitely stay here again in the near future, and look forward to my stay.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by JCLARK830 Not up to Crowne Plaza standards
I stayed in this hotel twice within the past several months because I was in town with my children. Upon my arrival on the first stay, I noticed the lobby area was filled with tables and chairs for an event. I took my young children to the advertised indoor pool to work off some of their energy and allow them their much-awaited experience of 'swimming in December'. Upon arrival, there were several other parents and children with our group. While our kids were in the hot tub (no other adults there to bother), the light assembly came out and was floating in the water with them. This caused the hot tub to be closed for the remainder of our stay. About 15 minutes later, a large event started taking place in the hotel lobby just on the other side of the pool area. I went to the front desk to purchase a soda and overheard a member of the group in the lobby complaining about the pool noise to the management. Shortly thereafter, the manager came to the pool and closed it, saying they needed to perform 'maintenance'. I stayed down in the area for another two hours and no maintenance was ever performed. As soon as the other event was over, the pool re-opened. I confronted the manager about this and she said she had made an 'executive decision' to close the pool. I was there with a large group and this decision made us feel like second-class citizens. I wrote it off as an anomaly and came back to the hotel about a month later with the same group.
For this stay, I booked a business-executive suite in order to have access to the breakfast and drinks provided in the executive lounge. Upon my arrival, much to my dismay, I learned that not only were there large groups meeting in the hotel lobby again, but they had booked the executive lounge out to another group. In order to 'make up for the inconvenience', the manager gave us one free breakfast buffet which was only good for one person. This was problematic for my party of four. Additionally, every common area in the hotel was booked for this group, leaving no room for social interaction with other members of our group unless we left the hotel. Having platinum status with IHG does me no good if the perks of the rewards program are rented out to others.
Other than these problems, the rooms were nice except the bathrooms were very dark.
I feel that I should not have to weave my luggage through tables to check in and out of my hotel, that all advertised amenities should be available to ALL guests, and that the perks of Priority Club membership should not be rented out to the highest bidder. I will definitely not be staying at this hotel again, and implore IHG to investigate whether it meets the standards of carrying the flag of "Crowne Plaza".

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by englishtechwriter My recent stay
This was the third time that I've stayed at this property. Unfortunately, it is also my last visit. While I understand that it's cold outside, I did not expect that my room would be so cold. Standing barefoot and three feet from the windows, I could feel the cold draft blowing across my feet. The thermostat in my room usually doesn't break 70 in the winter, but I typically had it up around 77 for the three days of my stay. The bed was also hard and the pillows seemed to be very cheap. While it seems minor, the shower curtain was about 10 inches too short and there was constantly a puddle on whichever side wasn't covered by the curtain. It seemed odd, but that's the way it was. The property is a good value, but the uncomfortable bed, tiny bathroom, flat pillows, six channels, and cold, cold room was enough to drive me away.

Room ended up right up from indoor pool on Dec 31; noise from kids. TV reception from Satellite dish unacceptable. Engineering tried to reset. Facility had a Christmas party on this particular night. Fights were reported in hallway and rooms. Police were called to retain order. My room, on the 5th floor offered no relief. I had to call security after midnight and ask them to control guest on 5th floor. I received no rest at this location, which is why I stayed there.

I would have to say that they could have done a better job of informing us on the specifics on checking-in. We called the day prior, being told that we would be able to be checked in before the normal check-in time. We arrived after 1pm, and we were told that the rooms were not available until after 3pm. This messed up our schedule, as we wanted to get downtown as quickly as possible. Plus, we had to check-in after we went to the game, which didn't end until well after midnight (8pm game). Better guest service is recommended in the future!

Usually when I spend one night in a hotel room I don't sleep as soundly as I do at home. Just as I was about to turn off the light I noticed the little package containing three aroma therapy packets and sprays. Put one on my face, one on my legs and feet and sprayed the other all over (just following directions).
I was out like a light and slept very soundly the whole night...very comfortable bed helped, too.
Thank you!
I wish I could get the same package to use every night at home!

Most Crowne Plaza Hotels I use have a hosted hospitality time in the evening and a hot breakfast. Not here. Very poor. Crackers and chips in the evening, cold cereal in the morning, and the coffee machine broke both mornings I was there. In addition, I was never asked how my stay was.

This is the best hotel in the area, they offer complimentary parking & shuttle service to and from the airport, the rooms are spacious & clean, friendly & helpful staff,
There's also a restaurant, bakery, lounge and room service, so it's really convenient if you don't want to do alot of driving around.
I highly recommend!

Because of a late-night arrival at the INdianapolis airport, we decided to stay at the Crowne Plaza so that we could get to a hotel quickly enough to get some sleep.
None of that happened.
1. First, they mis-informed us that their regular airport shuttle had a pick up at 1:45 AM when, in fact, it stopped running at 12:45. So, we had a 25 minute wait to be picked up. (Had to call twice)
2. We arrived at almost 2AM to find the lobby crowded with unhappy customers. A large group whose reservations had been lost. A large group whose bills had been mis-calculated. It took us another 40 minutes to check in!!!! Staff would not multi-task so we just had to wait.
By that time, we could have driven to Bloomington.
Finally got to the room, which had some mechanical noise (maybe ice maker??).
Had NO Sleep!!!!
Will Never Never Never go back and have told all my friends.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by bob48 High and constant noise level
Thnis hotel needs to be demolished. Constant noise from air traffic at night is unbearable. Sell it to FedX. The front desk reception is cold and calis. The resturant service staff can't speak or understand English. The new room furnishings and bedding spawn allergies to those of us sensitive to such. Dianamite is the best friend this hotel has. Do it now. Take it down. I won't be back....ever!
