I could not find fault with the hotel. It is not often I will say this but it exceeded all my expectations especially in regrard to service and comfort. Every member of staff made a genuine effort to to polite, courteous and helpful all the time.
The only slight criticism I have, is not of the hotel per se, but maybe there could be some education passed onto the Istanbul taxi drivers (3 we used) and not 1 knew where the hotel was exactly, and had to stop to ask directions each time.

This hotel is very near to Grand Bazaar. Staff is quite attentive to guests. Room is clean and comfortable.
Only thing is that the spa in the hotel is too expensive if talking about local sense.

Very nice hotel. The staff is helpfull, kind and always ready to do everything to make you feel comforttable . Good location. Rooms are clean. You fell safety at the hotel. I would recomend this hotel to everyone.

I have stayed at the hotel during 14-18 Feb'13. As the platinum priority club, they also upgrade me from King suit to President suit. The hotel is very nice. The room is clean with the comfort bed. Staffs are very helpful, especiall the front desk Mr.Tayfun, he gave me a lot of assistance. While I have to wait for transportaion to catch up night flight, he brought me to wait in club lounge, which was very helpful for us. Most of staffs come with smile and greeting. The hotel always full, so I would recommend you to book early. It's closed to sightseeing place (about 20 mins to Blue Mosque) and tram station (5 mins walk).
This is very good hotel.

It was my first visit to Istanbul and I originally wanted to book the Intercontinental on Taksim Square. It was not available and I reluctantly chose this property largely due to the customer ratings. I am very glad I stayed here and can see why it has such unusually high customer scores.
All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, from the front desk to the housekeepers. I was greeted at every turn and the staff went above and beyond to answer my questions. My emails to the hotel requesting information before my arrival were promptly answered.
The room was clean and comfortable, and there was complimentary wireless. The only thing I had concerns about was the requirement to enter my passport number every time I logged on the internet. Aside from being annoying, I was concerned about the security of putting that important document number in a computer.
The club lounge had delicious breakfast and a very nice afternoon wine and appetizer service. I was thrilled that it is offered to all Priority Club elite guests.
The hotel is easily reachable from the airport by metro/tram and is right along the tourist tram (T1) line. All of the major attractions are within walking distance.
This hotel truly embraces the sprit of the Priority Club program, and elites really feel the benefits of their loyalty to IHG. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Istanbul and it would be my first choice if I return in the future.

WE HAD PLANNED OUR TRIP TO ISTANBUL TO ALLOW A FULL EVENING IN THE CITY...UNFORTUNATELY WE GOT CAUGHT IN SNOW STORMS SO VISIT VERY BRIEF.
VERY LATE CHECK IN VERY SMOOTH AND STAFF HELPFUL ....EARLY MORNING CALL ON TIME AND CHECK OUT QUICK...TAXI SITTING WAITING...WE AGRED WE WILL BE BACK TO ISTANBUL AS A RESULT OF OUR BRIEF EXPERIENCE AT CROWNE PLAZA. AMBIENCE OF HOTEL EXCELLENT...WE ENJOYED A LATE NIGHT DRINK IN THE LOBBY WHICH IS UNIQUE.

Great staff! The breakfast for Priority Club Members is amazing, best hotel breakfast I've ever been too! The room was a bit noisy from the traffic on the street, but it comes with the convenience of being walking distance to most of the historical sights. The wi-fi was a bit spotty in the room. Overall, experience excellent. Would stay there again.

90% satisfied.
For that high prize, only the Sylvester Gala Dinner was criticizing, we were expecting some better quality in food, beverage, service and Live Band. That night was absolutely to expensive for that what we get.

Every aspect of my recent stay was excellent except for one small but very important thing... the WiFi in my room when it didnt drop a signal was weak at best, worked great in the Priority Lounge while I had to spend a few hours waiting for my flight.

We enjoyed the hotel very much. The room was very comfortable and the view of Laleli mosque was beautiful. The spa facilities (sauna, steam room, hamami) were extremely clean and well staffed. All staff members were friendly and knowledgeable. The location, just a few minutes walk from the Grand Bazaar and 20 min from Sultanahmet was very convenient - the tram station was also very close. We felt very comfortable in this neighborhood and enjoyed the nearby shops. Extra perks for Priority Club members were very much appreicated.

What a fabulous stay at this hotel! They really made us feel welcome! To make things even better,they made my boyfriends birthday very special. I mentioned we were in Istanbul to celebrate this and they surprised us with a birthday cake.
It was a very comfortable stay and the staff were very friendly.
Only improvement could be with housekeeping, none of the toilettries were replaced such as earbuds and cotton pads. Instead i just bought some from local shop.

The hotel is clean and the rooms are big.
Since we arrived before check in time,BARIS in the reception offered us an upgrade to 2 suites instead of the 2 king corner rooms I have booked for my self and parents.
The people working were very friendly especially BARIS .
The only problem I had was the noise from the street which sometimes woke up my daughter. Otherwise everything was perfect and my parents really enjoyed the stay.

This a beautiful hotel well located near the tram line. Close enough to everything, but just far enough from the center of the tourist area that the salesmen weren't pestering you every time you stepped out the door. I didn't realize that breakfast wasn't included when booking with points, but the continental breakfast and happy hour in the Priority Club Lounge were the nicest of any Intercontinental hotel I have stayed.

The Crowne Plaza is a great hotel location for exploring the historical sites of Istanbul and with the tram only a short ride away to Galata or Taksim.
At arrival we received an upgrade to a Corner Suite and access to the Club Lounge, which both was a great experience.
The hotel staff were all very friendly and always helpful.
A can highly recommend this hotel for any Istanbul leisure visitors.

Our first visit to Istanbul, I am currently woorking in Turkey and having some time free, I arranged for my wife to meet me there. We decided on the Crowne Plaza due to location and our satisfaction with the chain in particular. The ease of getting to all we wanted to do by foot was brilliant, directions given by the desk were easily understood and they arranged for us to have a guide to take us around the many sights on Sultanhamet Square area. I was upgraded on my arrival and given a quick tour of the hotel, arrangements were made for me to meet my wife at the airport. IHG certainly seem to have achieved something which others lack in terms of customer satisfaction, I sincerely hope that it continues.

This is a unique and very nice property in the Old City area. A little tricky to find, and I think the mapping function is incorrect. The lobby areas are very nice, it is a few old buildings joined together, nice architecture. Room and upgrade were very nice. Constant security staff around. Very comfortable bedding. Very professional desk staff.
