Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor hotel Nicely refurbished but IHG have forgotten the basics here. Its an airport hotel and next to a freeway. Yet the windows offer almost no soundproofing whatsoever! The aircon is noisy and if you are unfortunate enough to be near the ice machine you'll struggle to know what is noisier, the aircon, ice machine or the outside noise! Rooms are nice and the staff are great - but the hotel is poor. If you're here for a lay over or a temp stop....go elsewhere. You may as well prop up the bar all night, I wish I had! August 23, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Great Location for Airport Travelers A nice clear hotel professionally staffed and run with close proximity to JFK for travelers. Airline crews stay at this hotel so that tells you that it's the right place to stay. Lobby is modern and clean and dispute the busy nature of an airport location the staff is fast and polite. I would recommend this hotel for anyone traveling through JFK that lives in the tri-state area and doesn't want to get up at 4 am to fight traffic to catch a morning flight. August 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Super Stay at Crowne Plaza New York Our stay was great. Breakfast was delicious and abundant. The staff were very friendly from check-in to manager, to housekeeping and restaurant. Everybody worked hard and their pleasant smiles to to really tired guests returning from South Africa made all the difference. Check out was a breeze with no holds on the credit card as the account was settled on the spot. We did not make use of all the services due to the shortness of our stay but we will certainly go back. Shuttle to JFK, free wifi, ATM in the lobby, business center, restaurant a floor below the lobby and other services make this hotel a great place to stay. I highly recommend this hotel. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst place to stay before a long flight My husband and I were simply looking to stay at a hotel by the airport to make our travel in the morning easier and to get some sleep beforehand. We were placed on the first floor of the hotel and they cleaned the floor the WHOLE entire night. I slept with headphones in just to try to block out the noise but even that didnt work. Doors slammed all night and we got the worst sleep of all time. Hotels should be respectful of the fact that people go here to SLEEP! I would not recommend this hotel for anyone trying to stay over and get some rest before a long flight. Needless to say our day of travel was not pleasant. August 14, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Made reservation but no rooms available at check-in had to wait 1.5 hours Poor check-in service in the late evening. Long lines and stressed out customers. No rooms available that were clean. They sent me to the bar saying I was on the top of the list to get a room and I would be called. An hour and a half later when I inquired, everyone else was given a room and when I asked if mine was now available there was not any clean ones still. Another 15 - 20 minutes later I got a room. Front desk offered nothing. I gave them my Crown card and they gave it back and said the number didn't work and they couldn't help me. About the worst hotel customer service I have encountered. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by outstanding service and personnel My 2nd visit within a 2 month period. First visit was to celebrate a family member's 100th birthday and the last trip was to celebrate her home going and amazingly long life. The banquet was held at the Crowne Plaza, everything was outstanding, the food, beverages and the services provided by the staff.. The staff on both occasions were very professional and on top of everything. The facilities were clean and very nice. The bedroom was comfortable and clean. The food in the restaurant and bar area was very good, very attentive, courteous. I would highly recommend this property and plan to return on my next trip to New York. The shuttle service to the hotel and back to the airport was very convenient, the driver was very courteous and professional. August 6, 2014
