Walk to a nearby restaurant cafe, gas station and McDonald's ( if that's your thing)
Taxis are easy to find.

I stay at the Crowne Plaza, Jeddah on a regular basis during business trips to my company's Jeddah Branch. Overall the hotel is very nicely decorated and the rooms are clean, tidy and reasonably well laid out. The only observation that I have is that the shower which is over the bath does not leave much room to move!

-room not ready on arrival at 12 noon
-front desk agent brushed me off and said to come back later. even though he knew i was a gold elite PC member
-did not offer to store my luggage, nor asked for a mobile number to call on once room is ready. Considering I am a gold elite this is the least they could have done.
-reservation not flagged in the system as gold member although it was book directly with IHG.
-voiced my concern to the duty manager (saudi with glasses sitting at the small desk next to reception) about the checkin experience. His reply was sorry check in is at 3. Someone as pathetic as him should not be a duty manager. You need to be understanding when you're a manager. Did not even apologize or sympathize. Did not even send a amenity to the room.
-Hotel is horrible at recognizing repeat guests as PC members
-Laundry is never delivered upon the promised time. Had to call twice to get it
-ordered twice eggs poached and made sure the order taker knew i wanted it runny. Eggs came well done.
-lack of english understanding
-shower tub is absolutely small

Had a great experience while staying at Crowne Plaza Jeddah...very helpful and friendly staff, especially the manager Haitham very helpfull and attentive.

Crowne Plaza Jeddah do give you a room which is clean and comfortable at acceptable levels. However it cannot be compared to many other CPs around the world where you find everything from Furniture, Toilet, Floor to the amenities offered of much superior quality. An easiest comparison would be with CP Al Khobar and you can identify a big gap in property quality levels.
