I have stayed at this hotel many many times and even at one point lived there for several months.That was 4 years ago.
Sadly since then whilst the reception area etc is unrecognisable the rooms have not recieved an uplift and many are now tardy and feel worn out. This needs addressing.
Whilst there is recogition of IHG membership the hotel gives you a letter confirming the benefits. All good. However, the fruit as promised had to be called for and should have been organised when i checked i.. i should not me have to call for it an hour later
On the last occasion I was given a very poor room that quite franKly felt very "low rent" .
The std of roomS is no longer representative of the Crown plaza brand.

Excellent location, though rooms are tiny, you can often bang yourself. It could be a very good 3 star. But nota. 5 star. Knowing just next door there is another ihg propertty, i would prefer that one, given they are similarly priced
Booking staffs are inefficient, tough to get an upgrade even being a Platinum member and when there is availability. Booking clerk non responsive to emails. Room decor and welcoming has serious inconsistency.
IHG needs to put serious effort to keep the property in its chain. As a platinum member the experience is very poor
