Friendly business oasis in Jo'burg

Nice place to recover and relax while on a challenging business assignment. The hotel addressed all my needs - transportation to and from the training site, an executive lounge with food/drinks and international newspapers, a quality restaurant and friendly service at every turn. I was confronting jet lag, time adjustment and altitude acclimatization factors and this hotel assisted greatly in enabling a smooth transition.
The restaurant deserves special mention. I had read some variable reviews before arriving and was pleased to find that the food was fantastic and the service friendly and efficient. The menu is carnivore-focused (perfectly cooked steaks) but I also had some tasty seafood (kingklip, shrimp and calamari) dishes. Server recommendations always hit the spot.
Kudos are also to concierge, front desk, exec lounge and bar personnel as all contributed to an excellent experience for this traveler on a business trip to Jo'burg.

Not everyone wants to have a full breakfast menu. Sometimes a bowl of cereal is all that a person wants to eat, but to be charged the full rate for this is ridiculously expensive.

Lack of public taxis

though not the hotels\'s fault but it made it extremely hard to get around. The hotel car was often not available so I was trapped and had to eat every night in the hotel which got pretty old (but the food was good).
