Our stay at La Concha was indeed memorable. Let me first say that the location is exceptional for those wanting the full Duval Street experience. That was the only positive. The construction going on during our stay marred most of our visit. While we expect minor inconvenience at a hotel that remains open during construction, we did not anticipate the water being turned off for 2 of the 4 days we were there, the restaurant being unable to offer dinner or restrooms for the entire time we were there, and the incessant noise. We were given no advance notice of any of the above. That would have made a world of difference. The lack of water prohibited us from showering or using the restrooms in our hotel for the majority of one day of our stay and part of another. The most difficult part of that experience was the complete lack of compassion and customer service provided by the staff. I've seldom seen a situation handled so unprofessionally and callously as this. We were given absolutely no compensation or courtesy for our troubles. Had it not been for this ridiculous situation, it would have been easier to overlook the minuscule rooms, the bathroom with the peeling paint and the foreign hairs, and the subpar pool area.

Excellent overall experience. Front desk is best I have seen in any hotel. The construction was a very minor inconvenience, don't let that keep you from staying here. I would highly recommend Laconcha and will stay here again.

Room #257 - the bathroom is too small - you can barely move around without hitting yourself. For the price of the room - the bathroom accomodations should be better.
Very disappointing that during the week of my stay (Thanksgiving) the restaurant was under contstruction - no lunch/dinner or room service. Your site should have displayed this information and/or your front desk should have updated when confirming the reservation by phone.

The hotel is nice, great location. Management made a bad decision in not mentioning the extensive remodeling project going on in the lobby. Extremely loud noise (jackhammers). This also caused the restaurant to be closed. When it rained on our stay, the roof leaked which resulted in fans blowing in the hallways trying to dry the carpet. The fact that they chose not to let guests know about the condition of their hotel or letting them know that the amenities that they boast on their website were in fact not available made for a bad situation when we arrived. The management is completely throwing their poor desk employees under the bus with upset customers. I asked for the manager and the employee said he will get him, then came back out and said that he was unavailable. All that said, I do think that I would stay here again but I will have a lot of questions before I book. The girl at the desk did give me a $50.00 credit and breakfast coupons. They served breakfast only, on hotplates set up on the bar. I do think management needs to be honest with their potential guests and let THEM make an educated decision as to whether or not they want to stay there with the current condition.

This was our 3rd stay at this property and won't be our last.
One of the staff said the rooftop bar is being converted to a spa. That does lessen the incentive to stay there. That's a great place that apparently will be lost.

Great location, you can walk to everything from here. Friendly staff, great pool bar and sunset at the bar up top.

La Concha is right in the middle of Key West, close to and within walking distance of nearly all of the local attractions. We didn't have a car, we walked. There are also a number of fine restaurants that we walked to also. There was some remodeling going on, but the inconvenience was minor. It will be even a better hotel when completed.

The service and attentive staff was excellent, especially Zach at The Top bar was always above and beyond. Fabulous food as well!
