Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SueEllan Comfortable bed and nicely decorated room
Great location to all there is to do on Duval St., along with a short walk to Mallory Square. You may purchase trolley tickets at the hotel, and get on right in front of the hotel. Breakfast was very pricey, so we chose to eat else where. We enjoyed the roof top area where you had such a wonderful view. We had no time to use the pool, but it looked very inviting. I thought the room was pricey, but very disappointed to pay another fee to park our car.

Did not sleep for two nights due to partying. Loud, doors slamming.
Day & evening people @ front desk very sympathetic & charming.
Night desk person was not pleasant and did nothing to stop noise.
Never heard anything from management, while there, on this matter.
Notified IHG Hotels re; this matter.
P.S. I am a platinum member

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by UTravel No night security and customer care hasn't answered queries
The gym was not open and this was not told to me during reservations. Front desk was "flipid" when I told them of both the gym issue and the drunk guys banging on our door at 1 am in the morning. Where was security?
I sent Customer care comments days ago and still no response. I am an agent and dissapointed in the front desk attitude and customer care.
As a positive, the valet staff are excellent and very well mannered and polite.

The Top bar can be improve a lot. You have a good area to create a very good ambient and accommodation, as it is now is very poor.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DJP1983 Comfortable bed, spotty WiFi
The location is convenient. The bed was real comfortable.
The WiFi was really spotty which was a problem as I was trying to get work done. The signal was either really weak or would give out. I also didn't like that I had to pay for valet parking. i don't mind so much for the parking but it's unnecessary for the valet especially since the parking lot was near by.

Unique experience in an updated historic hotel. Visited lounge, pool and Ghost Tour. Lounge is VERY nice. Pool has no hot tub. Ghost Tour very interesting and entertaining. We stay at Holiday Inn properties frequently as, although apparently not a contributor to this Key West Half Marathon, they are frequently host hotels at many of the races we do around the USA. The location of this hotel allowed us to see and do the most in the short time we were in Key West. I would suggest you create some space to allow a REAL workout area.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by pajama tiniest bathroom ever
Lovely room, overlooking Duvall. Great location. Only negative was the bathroom. It was so small that you couldn't close the door without whacking your elbow or some other body part. Could not stand in front of the toilet while closing the door. Definitely could not be a two person bath so plan time accordingly. Tiniest bathroom of any hotel room I've ever occupied (and I travel a fair amount).

We stayed at La Concha from Jan. 18th-22nd, and this was our sixth visit to this beautiful facility. The rooms and the entire facility are well maintained by a fantastic staff that we look forward to greeting with each visit. We have stayed in others, but we always return to La Concha. Phil and others at La Concha are like family to us. The front desk staff is always friendly and ready to help with good information. We look forward to our next visit to Key West.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by kate11 Location and service
The location is central to all activities. The room was much bigger than we expected. We actually had a roll away bed in the room and we had plenty of room to walk around and put our things around the room. The service was excellent and the hotel associates were more than welcoming. We can't wait to go back.

The location cannot be beat.
The A/C was not working in our room for the 2 day stay.
Disappointed in no Hot Tub.
Staff was outstanding
The only parking is Valet parking at $10/day plus tip.
In other resort cities I have been to guest parking is free.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by EChick Great Hotel in the heart of Key West
I stayed at LaConcha during the month of January just for a weekend. I had a great room with a balcony over Duval Street. It was great to be able to come back to the hotel watch the people from afar. I must say Catherine at the front desk was extremely helpful! I will definately be coming back to the hotel.
The only issue I had was I apparently am allergic to the detergent or something on the bed but my boyfriend was fine.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Theabyss2005 Perfect Area!
Very well located and convenient for all you want to do downtown. I do not agree with $20.00 per day parking fee on top of room fee as you really have no other option to park anywhere close to the hotel.

The lobby was excellent. Very elegant looking. The room wasn't anything special. The spout on the tub was bent. The water didn't drain very well when you were taking a shower. Within 1 minute you were wading in water in the shower. The toilet had to be flushed multiple times to empty. Big plumbing issues in the room I had. I reported the issues the next morning but, no comments from the staff. Way over priced. Nice valet parking.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by JillD Best location for walking around - friendly staff
The hotel staff was very friendly. My room was fine and was kept clean every day with no issues! The rooftop bar for sunset is perfect. I loved the Starbucks in the building - my first stop every morning.
This is not a brand new building so things like tons of electrical outlets and fully soundproofed rooms just doesn't happen. This hotel had lots more character than those brand new buildings. I would definitely stay here again. Having a mini-fridge in the room was a definite plus!
The menu for room service indicated the types of prices I would expect from a hotel in a major city. I just never ate in the hotel restaurant since there were plenty of other choices that were less costly and probably better! Try tapas at Santiago's Bodega on Petronia St and a grouper sandwich at B.O.'s Fish Wagon on Caroline Street!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by wendyinkc glitch handled nicely
We arrived 1/3 around 6 o'clock to find our room was not avail. This was a Christmas present to my husband and I was disappointed, but assured the error would be corrected the next day. The first room was quite nice, but not the suite I booked, we only had to move across the hall to get my suite and was thrilled to not have to go very far and it was the room I had anticipated all along! The management did pay for the Friday night room. Great location for everything. Cookies at night were delicious!
Taxi service is not good so would have liked to been warned it could take a bit to secure a ride to the airport. Was not pleased with the bell stand young man named Victor. Was very pleased with Matt the concierge. Once told we had waited 15 minutes for a cab to the airport he high tailed his cell phone into high gear! We actually rode with another couple we flagged down ourselves. Please note the importance of telling guests about calling early for a cab.

The La Concha is at a perfect location for doing everything you want to do in Key West. The hotel lobby is beautiful, the rooms nicely appointed though our 2 doubles was a little crowded. The pool area and multiple outdoor decks provide a nice oasis. Don't forget to view the sunset from the rooftop deck and bar.

The Crown Plaza is right on Duval Street and it is fantastic for people watching. It was great getting a Starbucks coffee in the morning and then going up to the pool deck to watch the people stroll by. Our room overlooked the pool and it was very convenient for my daughters to catch a little sun. Comfy beds and overall a pleasant stay.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 50weekAYearTraveler Looks nice, but really dirty beneath the surface
I stay in hotels every week for work. This hotel re-design looks gorgeous, Too bad it's wasted on staff that can't bother to keep it up. Room service trays that are put in the hall are left there ALL day and all night, until room service comes by again in the morning. Towels were changed, but the bathroom was never cleaned. Dirty glasses were left to sit in the room for three days. On the 4th day I put them in the sink. They were set back on the coasters in the bathroom, still dirty. The pool has a 3 inch layer of black scum around the tile. After taking showers, walking on the carpet turned your feet black. Tables and counters were not cleaned. Hotel looks great at first glance, but is not taken care of. I stopped by the front desk to ask them to remove the dirty trays from the hallways - twice! They never were. The rooftop bar that has the best view in the city smells so bad of spilled beer and liquor that you can't stand the smell long enough to order a drink. On a comfort level, the beds were ok, but the down comforter is way too hot, even with the a/c in the room turned down as low as it would go. I asked for a lighter blanket and was told they didn't have any.

I am a federal government traveller, frequently to Key West. Given the fact that we (USG) spend a lot of money using your properties I would expect a more flexible cancellation policy. I tried to cancel a Sun reservation on Fri (two days in advance!) due to an unforcast change in my travel priorities and told could not do it because it was out of the 72 hour window. As a result I had to pay for a room I did not use out of my own pocket. Rest assured I will not use any of your properties in future for business or pleasure, and will stridently recommend the same to all of my colleagues.

The Hotel is well located right on Duval Street, and it has valet parking which we were not charged for.
The rooms appear to have recently been refurbished to a high standard. I booked two rooms, one had a balcony overlooking Duval Street, the other was a room with no balcony overlooking the car park, this second room was a lot more spacious and comfortable.
We enjoyed our stay there, the only minor thing I would complain about was in the morning we were going to have breakfast in the hotel and my wife asked for some hot milk for our coffee and the waitress said she could not make the milk hot, so we all left and had breakfast in another restaurant, apart for that we had no other issues.
