Our check in was prompt. The girl behind the desk was not pleasant and helpful. She didn't explain the breakfast package that was included in our room. She didn't give us our green cards for breakfast the next morning which we didn't know we needed until after we had our breakfast and we were told about it from our fantastic server. There is nothing like checking in a hotel and have a person not welcome you or give any information except to just hand you a paper and send you on your way.
We love coming to Lake Placid and have always stayed at Mirror Lake Inn but thought we would try some other location. Over all our stay was pleasant and very nice.

Great location with a great view of the mountains and lake. We would stay again when we revisit the area. Found the people to be very friendly and informative. Very comfortable atmosphere.

We were here for a conference and were most happy with the accommodations, the food, the service, and the general atmosphere.
The service at the Friday night buffet was disappointing and seemed inefficiently handled, but the food prepared was delicious.
Also a great location for seeing the area.

can not top your location to the village and the vista; wait staff worked their tails off to accommodate the guests in a most difficult, tight arrangement; love the bartender (young, larger guy with an uncommon name); comfortable bed, great pillows, great fragrances; maintenance staff helped with display; front desk staff incredibly helpful; people who work there understand customer service; I work as a hostess in a hotel and know what to look for; one negative--coffee, need some, good strong coffee; where I work we use Seattle's best which makes coffee with character--I had to go to Starbuck's in the village for a good cup of coffee.

Our room was clean and had all of the basics- the pillows were smaller than a normal pillow but we used the pillows from the other bed in the room so it worked out ok. I didn't use the pool because it was to visible to other guests. Our room didn't have a nice view but we didn't stay in there except for sleeping/showering so it didn't matter. The hotel was close to many outdoor activities

Overall our stay was wonderful! The front desk staff was superb. Our room was clean and comfortable. Our one complaint would be the service at meal time. We were part of a conference group of 400 and mealtime service seemed to overwhelm the staff.
The room was very crowded - no room to walk between most tables. Two buffet lines were inadequate for the number of people and the wait was way too long to get food. The salad was time consuming to assemble and held up the line, so other food items were cold. The sit down dinner on our second night wasn't much better with timeliness of service.

We very much enjoyed our Crown Plaza stay. The view of Mirror Lake from the room just after sunrise is spectacular. Golf was interesting with the snow capped mountains in the distance.

A beautiful weekend in Lake Placid. Our check in was speedy and staff was friendly. Our room was beautiful. We were updated to a jacuzzi room. Our balcony overlooked Mirror Lake. The Great room is awesome. Hot tub was good.The pool was too cold for me. Breakfast buffet was a good value and delicious. Climbing the hill to the Crown Plaza was killer.
