I have stayed at this hotel more than once and I have always found that every member of staff is bright, friendly and full of character, and prepared to go the "extra mile". A highly motivated team! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by STAFF Staff were very friendly on the day of my arrival and helpful indeed . The breakfast meal were more the less same each morning. Had a massage while staying was quite ok but quite dear, my husband had other two hours treatment. We want to treat our selves since we do not smoke at all . I stay at this hotel alot with work they staff make it feel like home - it's never easy being away 3 or 4 nights a week, but when you have a welcoming destination, it helps!! My colleagues and I ate in the bar last week and the food was spot on - a great burger!! Nothing it too much trouble - all requests are considered and the staff make every stay at the Crowne Plaza a pleasure - thank you. April 15, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet & comfortable The room was basic but very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable, the curtains blocked out all light and the room was very quiet. Also my favorite temple spa products in the bathroom. We had a great nights sleep and a lie in due to the dark curtains. Pool facilities were lovely and very clean. Hotel was a little further from the center than we wanted but still managed to walk back after a night at the comedy club (roughly a 10 minute walk into town). Overall great stay and would recommend. All the staff we had contact with including the Receptionist, the cleaners, the bar staff and the waiters at Breakfast where extremely polite and helpful. The bed linen was the best I've ever seen in a hotel, well done. The leisure facilities were great too, with a nice pool and jacuzzi, although the changing room could do with extra inspection for cleaning. March 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent as always We stay here regularly on frequent visits to watch the football. Really friendly hotel, the staff cannot do enough for you especially at reception. The rooms are very comfortable, beds and bathrooms are excellent. Nice bar area too. Real Yorkshire hospitality and we will be back. Location is excellent, within easy walking distance of the city centre but quiet enough at night. We walked to Miah's Kitchen which is an excellent Indian restaurant. Was upgraded unprompted to a room on the 6th floor but above all what I liked was peace and quiet, no banging doors, noises in corridors, just comfortable room, very comfortable bed and peace and quiet so I could get rest and start my day well the next day. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Worst nights sleep in a hotel ever. Rooms have no soundproofing and was kept awake by noise of tv in other room and then later by snoring. Quality of room below par for Crowne Plaza. Chair in need or replacing, some of the other furniture not far behind. On the positive side, leisure facilities are top notch as is the breakfast. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Hotel that Actually Values the Customer If you are like me, working away from home a lot and using the priority club booking for convenience, you will I'm sure have noticed a gulf between the highs and lows of service. It's a while since I've felt truely welcome by the staff, but here the team and management were absolutely brilliant! Went out of their way to look after me and put that little bit of extra effort in to help me out. Wasn't sure if I needed a room for the next eve but when I mentioned it, was told there was only one room left but it could be held for me till 4 just in case. And done with a smile. Night Porter Alan made me an excellent sandwich when I got in late so thanks for the detail and consideration. I stay in loads of Holiday Inn's, Crowne Plaza's etc. Leeds Crowne Plaza is my new favourite. Well done and thank you. Reception Staff and managers, I solute you! February 11, 2013

Even though I purchased a deal and not usual room rates, as a member of the loyalty scheme we were still upgraded to an execuive room on the 6th floor, recieved a free drink at the bar and This Works sleep product. I was very impressed, thought at deal prices we may have had deal treatment - no such thing at this hotel! This is the second time we stayed here, the receptionist was the same, he is a young man who is so enthusiastic, very friendly (but not in your face). The girl behind the bar, from Liverpool, was also happy in her job - or certainly made the customers feel like she is - oh yes we also got free peanuts - the coated ones - to go with our free drink. The room was great with an excessively large desk, great if you are staying for business. The hotel is clean and fresh and looks like recently refurbished or just still new looking, it by no means is dated. I cant fault the hotel - not had beakfast but we are going back for a couple of days in April so may try it then. Last time - we have a Living Social voucher for Starbucks, which is just over the road - so that was nice and handy too. It isnt right in the centre - just a 10 minute walk - only cost £4 inc tip for taxi (it was cold and wet! but can be a nice walk and also very close to the canal walks), very close to the station. We live in Leeds! However, when there is a deal or if we are doing something special - like the theatre or a gig - it is really nice to stay here and last time it was cheaper than getting a taxi home!! Last time was in December and it is very close to the German Markets so we had a wonderful time. If you want to go to the German markets in December stay here!! Try The Victoria at the back of the Town Hall for a drink, very cosy and christmassy! There is a really nice restaurant and it is included on the Taste card so may be worth checking out, we didnt recieve the card in time - shame! At the bar we had two lagers and with a 10% loyalty discount cost about £7-8 and we also had the free drink and peanuts! Friendly staff too. Looking forward to returning in April :) February 10, 2013

I wouldn't mind but the sign at the car park states owners park at their own risk. The Hotel should revise this charge, especially for weekend stays! February 9, 2013

The gym is great, location to the town is perfect and the staff always pleasant to deal with. This time I was given a room upgrade (first time in 4 visits). The room was great and the hotel are currently doing a "Great British" Bar menu which has a great selection for dinner. February 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Walking into this hotel is like coming home I love this hotel. it's the third time me and my friends have stayed here. the staff are friendly, efficient, go the extra mile and supurb. The room is comfortable and quiet. well lit and clean. the breakfast is very good with plenty of choice and fresh food. we didn't have the evening meal this time but the head waitor was very helpful explaining the menu and options we had. the spa and pool are excellent. We were a bit anxious about the lack of life guard because there were children in the pool area this time and under 16's going into the steam room and sauna. when we mentioned to the children themselves it was not a good idea we were of course ignored. Leeds is a great place to visit with loads of shops and friendly local people. we will defnately be going again. February 4, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel! Loved this hotel - it has fantastic entrance with sweeping staircase; room was lovely (was ugraded so even better!); ALL staff were so friendly and very helpful. Little touches made our break very special. Our stay was during the snowy period, on a Sunday night and in January, so not many other guests so difficult to comment on atmosphere and ambience really but have given it four stars anyway. Can't comment on the restaurant and food as we did not eat at the hotel. Had a drink in the bar and this was very good. 2nd time we hve stayed at the Crowne Plaza and will definitely come back again.
